This game has a lot of potential, but there is a major issue with the difficulty curve per level. For most levels there is an optimal solution for the first 5-8 waves, which is the only way to beat these waves, forcing a restart of each level after a few waves until you figure out the best way to start. However, once those waves pass, the game becomes essentially trivial, making the last 60-70 percent of each level easy. This makes a lot of the gameplay boring, as you dont feel smart for playing
This is a pretty good tower defense game, but it is over pretty fast and then you can only go back and replay levels. First, it could use more levels. Second, once you do beat levels, having some kind of challenge/unlimited mode would make us want to keep playing. Last, it's truly too easy to max out upgrades and not necessary to spend real money, so if you want to make some money off this game, add more upgrades and challenging levels.
Fun, balanced but ads are forced and a problem. It's a really nice TD game and doesn't feel unfair to me even in later levels. My only problem is that I get a forced ad after every round that I can't close. Like at all. I have to restart the game after every round which is getting more and more annoying.
Review edit: I've revised my score drastically from 1 to 5 stars. Once I removed my head from my a$$ and discovered the strategy of the game and how to use the abilities and the wave replays to farm for cash to upgrade everything, the challenge becomes fun and no longer hopeless as I once whined. Lol I am stuck on level 19 now, however I was also "stuck" on level 15 for a while; until I wasn't. 😁 2nd edit: Stuck on wave 20. Actually at a loss here....tried every tower combo and can not win. 😠
Best tower defense game I've played yet. Pause & 2x speed rate let you play it in real time or pause to strategize. Ads are less frequent than other versions I've played. Careful, each level has their own limit to which towers you can build. Can be annoying after buying Lv 2 and be stuck using Lv 1, or having the tower off limits. Just a warning. Please keep it like this developers.
This game was really fun to play. It really requires you to think and strategize where to put towers. Even things like thinking about destroying objects also is factored in. However I beat it in maybe a few hours playtime and it's only 20 levels long. Beyond that it's a great game and I am hopint more gets added I future. Just to support the dev a bit I got the ad upgrade from the shop and it's surprisingly cheap but entirely unnecessary.
The first tactical tower defense game I played was in 2010 and I haven't played any other version until last week when I decided to try out this one. I can say it was very enjoyable to play. I paid to get rid of the ads because they were a bit overkill, however it was an easy decision to make. Well worth the 89pence. A good range of levels, enemies, and defense options with upgrades. You can unlock and upgrade everything in the game just by playing. Very much recommended.
Best tower game in a long time. You can level your towers easy, no need to get stuck on a level and be MADE to spend cash to get to the next level. Re-do levels to upgrade towers so become more powerful... You can also buy things to upgrade faster if you wish, an it's price's are very cheap an affordable for everyone. I stopped playing tower games because makers got to greedy. I'm going to be playing this one alot and also recommending to my friends.
Excellent game, gives a 90's retro gaming experience. Very smooth, good graphics, and out of the 20 levels, some are VERY challenging and almost impossible to get 3stars. Not a pay to win game (actually there are no pay options, gotta play the game to EARN which doesnt take very long honestly)very addictive also. Only downside is that seasoned strategic players may finish this in a day or two.... but overall an excellent game. Looking foward to other games from these guys!!!!!!!
This is a great tower defense game. It isn't easy and makes you use every trick you can think of to win. I would like to some more levels though, 20 doesn't seem like enough. It would also be nice to see bosses on some levels. I would like to see a few more enemies too, perhaps some flying ones that ignore paths. The final thing I think would be cool would be multiple upgrade paths for increased customizeability.
Great little app. I paid a small amount for the no ads and have had great fun. It would be 5 stars but theres only a few levels! Really hope they add more levels, towers and enemies going forwards! Some things that would improve the game.. even faster speed up option. Ability to zoom out more to see the whole map. Larger maps.
Great game, pretty easy to pickup and has a moderate learning curve - once you understand how the game works its fairly straightforward to beat all the levels. Ads aren't too much of a hassle which makes it easy to give this game 5 stats. There are only 20 levels, but id be happy to pay some $ if the devs added more!
It's genuinely a tower defence game... It's not ads with a little game every now and then... You're genuinely installing a tower defence game and it is very enjoyable to play. I might even say, one of the best tower defence games I've played in a long time. It's a game which does require tactics to win, not money or watching ads. Which is pretty rare to find these days. I hope some extra maps will be added in the future!
I realized pretty quickly that this game would require some thought in placement and strategy, which is good, but by level 9 I've played through all the previous levels so much that I basically have everything unlocked and I still can't get past the 7th or 8th wave. I'm sure there is a way to do it, but a tower defense game shouldn't be akin to playing dark souls, more than one configuration of positions and tower types should be able to pass the level.
A good TD game. The ads are between levels (and restarts, which is a bit annoying) but not obtrusive. Gameplay wise, the arbitrary limit on upgrades early on make for a slow ease-in to the upgrading between levels, but once you bought everything, there is very little to aim for. Maxed out all but 3 levels and although I could probably 3-star them... The lack of targeting options make the longer range turrets a bit unwieldy at times.
Good little tower game, maybe would be considered less challenging than others but easy to remove ads (89p) and can earn enough by redoing some levels to afford the upgrades for your weaponry. Simple, straightforward and enjoyable, it does have a limited amount of levels and upgrades so once completed it may lose players due to just playing same levels.
Really interesting, but wish there were many more levels. I reached 20 within the week. I also tried to remove and reload the game to start over. Unfortunately, it stores my previous info, so I don't have the ability to start from scratch. If the cache would delete on uninstall, I could at least re-do the game.
Brilliant game, not just a tower defence game but a puzzle game! Each map requires you to place towers, upgrade them and gather resources at specific times, theres room for doing things your own way but theres a right way of doing things in the right order. Ive also never played a tower defence game that allowed to you gather resources in more ways than just killing enemies, as you can destroy the scenery to gather more funds. Only wish there was more replay value, beat it in a week.
great game! fun and the occasional ads are not too annoying. too short though, ad more levels and higher upgrades for the towers and i would buy the ad free version for sure. no need for more complexity, just make it longer, also making a x4 speed button would be nice for the slower levels.
The game itself is quite exciting to play. But the ad is always the problem. If I could turn it off, I would give 5 stars. THERE IS NO X BUTTON AT ALL. The resolution of the ads are pretty messed up so there's no othet way than turn the entire app off and replay it. I mean...what is this really. I'm pretty sure that the developers could do something about that cuz this is the only game that I have trouble with. I'm using s20 fe.
Great game, except, I can't progress due to bad decision making in the hangar. I could really use some way of resetting the hangar research, even if just a one time thing. If that isn't an option, being able to delete game data entirely and start over, would be great also. I was really looking forward to completing this game too
Castle defense style game with excellent simple graphics, easy controls and great gameplay. Ads after most, but not all levels. All in all, a worthwhile game to play. However, you run out of things to upgrade, & there are no more levels after 20. HINT: shoot rocks & bushes early in the game to earn extra money so you can buy upgrades. Level 6 is particularly difficult because they don't send enough troops to kill early on. They send trucks around the 3rd or 4th wave, not enough time to get set.
So this is not completely a traditional tower defense game. It has a lot of the accoutrements, but is missing some elements that would make it a true successor to the common genre. For instance, the idea of money in the game is to purchase upgrades that theoretically help you. But there is no reward for saving your cash after each level. Also, how about some kind of recognition for completing all levels at three stars each. Disappointing that there were no fireworks or anything.
*Gains 3 stars on all 20 levels* *Smashes phone off ground and jovially yells out* "Another!" Good engaging gameplay with appropriately challenging level progression. Ads are minimal and unobtrusive. In-game currency is easily earned. More levels would be good. I noticed 2 glitches. One minor and uncommon (for me) where UI elements (target indicator and health bars) weren't visible. The other only happened once and I couldn't replicate the conditions. 1 sniper was firing in a fixed direction.
