Tacx Cycling app

Initially it was poor, due to slow connection rates, but Tacx has updated the app, now i rarely have any issues. The videos are a great motivational tool. 😰 App has now been ruined by changing the films, you can no longer purchase to own, you have to subscribe monthly, no longer customer orientated, I purchased four films now lost, I get offered one month free subscription. What about in ten years time or five years time? Very disappointed. Down to 1 star.

Can I give -1 star? Apps it is really bad. It is very slow when connecting to the cloud. Once (out of 4 for the moment) it didn't upload my activity to Tacx Cloud: still now I can see it in the app, but not on the Cloud website. And I don't know how t manually upload it. Also changing manually the resistance is very slow. It doesn't show up the %HR and the HR zones. Display cannot be customized. And today the best one: after one hour training it shuts down and all my data are lost. I will never use it again. Much better the Tacx Trainer App.

Painful and Pointless app works neither on my Android phone or iPad. I had to subscribe to stop the thing from crashing...I should have given up at that point. I trawled their site for help and youtube, nada. It looks like a compatibility issue. I emailed them and was sent a link back to their site. Worst app ever.

The worst app I have used. Unresponsive menu, as if it doesn't recognise where the buttons are on screen. When it does respond it seems like it's calling home on a 45kb modem to determine its response. No exit button anywhere, have to switch phone off to kill the app. Utterly useless.

Tacx Smart Flow. Massive issues with app and suppled instructions. I use Zwift so only intrested in calibration which was painful and stressful. Still cannot calibrate on phone (1+ 3T) Bluetooth so using tablet B'tooth. Put to much presser on roller adjuster during calibration you get an error. Difference between to little and to much is minimal. On error, backoff pressure, start again. Found answer on an obscure chat site. Tacx great product (5*) awful app and instructions (1*) update both

Films worki fine and this is about it. no Ant+ support, in workout mode the app does not change the resistance of Tacx Neo. Limited usability. Tacx training app is much better but no films.

Responsive, simple and highly functional UI.

Thank you for fixing the problems with the films on my android 7 tablet. Still, often it will briefly disconnect from the trainer while riding a film. Using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. It has its flaws but it's great for the most part.

Have troubles to connect device ,Bluetooth reconnais the trainer dose not stay connected sorry bought TACX Satory smart

Had high hopes for this app. The other Tacx app is awful but at least it will connect to my trainer. This developer has gone almost a month without a fix.

Has been working fine, but last update sees to have ruined it. films won't start an app caches everytime

Cant log in no matter what. Password resets don't send codes to emails can't log in via Google or Facebook? ???

Works fine with my bushido using ant+ adapter. Training videos look cool but way to expensive I'd buy them at 1/2 the current price. Lack of multiplayer and user gps routes needs to be addressed as Zwift and trainer road are trashing tacx at the moment.

If I could rate this a zero I would. One of the worst apps I've seen in a long time. This app makes me regret buying the Tacx Flux. I wish I had gone with another brand. The app constantly becomes unresponsive and I have save a few rides and none of them show up. I would spend my money elsewhere if I were you.

Cannot connect to my Vortex over ANT+ although it works flawlessly with the OTHER Tacx app (Tacx Training). Can't understand why one app is working and not the other...

If you are using android Nougat don't even bother with this app. As previous reviews have stated, the videos get stuck on the importing stage and then the software becomes useless. I have sent numerous emails to Tacx customer support and was told they were working on a fix. That was over 4 months ago and as yet the problem still hasn't been fixed.

The only reason I bought the tacx was to use it with the app it does not work so it's going back into the box and getting returned

Displaying incorrect speed even though other tacx apps speed values are correct? Pushing users to purchase computer based software me thinks?!

Piece of junk. Tried updating the firmware on my Genius Smart using various Android devices and versions and all report failure to connect with trainer. Very strange as the calibration worked using Bluetooth. I managed to make a connection last time, only for the updater to trash the firmware in my trainer, rendering it useless. It took me hours and many further attempts to finally get things working. Tacx support were useless. How can Tacx sell trainers that are so difficult/impossible to keep up to date? Time to get some software engineers that know what they are doing.

Lost money on video downloads that wouldn,t download or work. Avoid this app like the plague if you were hoping to cycle to a video & don't trust TACX TO respond or refund

Takes a bit of time to detect HR belt. I have the BlueMatic with the Tacx speed and cadence sensor. App records fine, and calculates estimated power (in the same sort of way as Trainer Road does - after all, Tacx publishes the power curve for the trainer!). Exporting to Training Peaks is a bit of a pain - I have to export to the tablet file system first, then restart the tablet, then plug the tablet into my PC, and move the file. Which then has a screwed up calorie figure! As calorie usage isn't that important in training, then who cares! Folks, too. But I mostly just stare at stats like a nerd, because I like my training to be precise rather than interesting! So, overall, the Tacx App adds value to the BlueMatic trainer, and is a bit clunky in places, but I am very pleased with the app!

This app was part of the reason I bought a Tacx trainer, if I'd known how bad it was I wouldn't have bothered. Been trying to download a film and no-go. Also there are many other problems with the app, when are they going to be fixed?

Expect to spend more time trying to connect the app to your trainer than you actually spend training. A constant struggle that seems to very common given the other reviews here. Tacx do not seem to be interested in fixing the issue.

Caused hardware freeze

Warning: not all films work, setup is a pain and it only allows 1 true account holder. But keep trying as once working this app is a pleasure. Just needs more work.
