I can't even get into the app itself. I declined doing the voice intro thing and when I try to proceed, the screen just goes black. When I exit out of the app, which is like twice, and then go to see if it's fixed it makes me redo my profile and everything. I kept exiting out the app to see if it would fix itself, but it doesn't it just makes me redo my profile. Either it's me just not doing the voice intro or it's the app idk. If I could give negative or no stars I would.
The app doesn't have a very user-friendly interface and get's glitches all the time and stuck as well till you clear the RAM and restart it. The people in the app aren't really people who are close to your location but pretty far and most of them running around with fake accounts and scammers. The apps background is familiar to the pictures as seen on the screenshots above and has no dark mode or white mode; I would not recommend this app for anyone.
Setting up your profile is very simple, but it refuses to let you move past that portion of the process unless you give it permission to view your location- even if you have already given this permission. I tried restarting the app, redownloading, and everything in between, but nothing worked. :-/
Good concept, poor execution. Chatting just essentially doesn't work. Doesn't load the conversation unless you're in the menu to pick a chat. Even then that's just the preview of the last message sent.
Very refreshing alternative. I'm actually having a really good time with this app. It feels less like a game - tho fun in its own way, and more like real life. There's a certain mystery and charm to hiding behind a veil.. and getting to know people in a fun way. Never chatted so freely on a dating app until now. Just post what you want in an opdn or discreet way, and see what happens!
Although it is true that you don't know when something was posted, I don't think it is terrible. I also like the idea that people have to get to know you a bit before they see your pictures. Not quite a 5 star yet, but certainly not a 1 star in my opinion. I'm actually talking with someone and the app is for 17+ I'm pretty sure which is nice if you are 17 and just on the edge of dating but can't use other dating platforms. Either way, good concept, I wish more people would use this
There is no way of knowing how old a post is, or if there is anyone in your area who has been on the app in months. After a week of making posts and responding to other people's I have yet to receive a single reply. The concept and interface are fantastic, but without a date stamp, I have come to the conclusion that I am the only person within a 100 miles that is actively using Taffy. I will keep checking for another week, and then I will delete.
Messages screen doesn't even show your messages, even in the text box to type them in. It's clear they are there, being received and sent, but they are invisible.
Every time an ad pops up the app freaks out. I then have to restart the app and Skype through 5 people I've already swiped before. Love the concept but the implementation seems flawed currently. I'm getting bored of the glitch.
The same 5 users show up again and again after I click X. The zoom on my pictures is really unflattering and apparently I don't get to choose when my pictures get unblurred, the app does.
Buggy mess, phishing tool hidden as an app. Had to try over 10 times to create an account, only way it worked was to link to Facebook (shocker) try and update your profile "oops something went wrong" updating your search "oops something went wrong" something certainly did. You took a great idea and absolutely butchered it. If you're reading this ignore paid Google reviews, keep looking for an actual dating app. Before anyone asks tested on WiFi 5g, restarted phone etc this app is the issue.
Its a good idea but needs improvement, not many people active maybe do some advertising, also can there please be a way to see the last time someone logged on. Otherwise a really good app
I've installed this app the first time signed up and all was going well but when I've wanted to go back before I click LET'S DO THIS I've pressed skip... All of a sudden the app kicked me out and when I try to go in its says setting up taffy but it just keep on kicking me out I Uninstalled this app and installed it again 3 times and still it kick me out please reply to me and fix the problem
Piece of sh!+. After choosing a photo, there's no "save" or "OK" button?! Besides, isn't this the app that's not supposed to care about photos? 0/5
Hey guys. Sorry for rating your app so badly. I want ed to say that the app has been crashing when ever I opened it. It crashes after 15 to 30 seconds later. Can you please fix it. That would be amazing. And I might change my rating.
I'm in the Central Ohio area and everyone seems to be bots. Swiping keft on them will just bring them back later. They all have unusual names for this area, have similar one line headkines, followed by similar sounding sentences in their 1-2 sentence profiles.
My experience with Taffy has been so amazing that I had to share. I had active PAID subscriptions to Tinder, EHarmony and Match but was very disappointed with the results. Then a friend convinced me to try Taffy, and wow! A completely different format and great experience. In just 2 weeks I legitimately met the love of my life. It's been 4 months now, and I decided it was time to give Taffy the shout out it deserved. Thank you! I found the one that my soul loves and it didn't cost me a dime!
It gets stuck every other freaking second. Shows the same people again and again and AGAIN AND AGAIN. And when I scroll down brings me back up AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. And shows the same posts AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. It's annoying af. 😭 fix it, please. Or Istg I m uninstalling.
The app likes to show the same match 2-4 times in a row (one after the other). Then it will reload another match and rinse and repeat
It's TWENTY NINETEEN!!! There's a HUGE movement to get off of facebook. You can't sign up for this platform without a facebook account. Yeah nah yeah this app can screw off, I'm going back to Tinder.
It works if you leave most settings on default - You need to get serious about age verification! - Userbase meeds to grow: fix some bugs devs! - It starts repeating once search is exhausted. Edit: Account apparantly deleted twice.
I like the premise of the app and everything till now. But it doesn't load anything i was waiting for 10 minutes and nothing loaded up.
This app is legit. For a long time, I thought dating apps were silly and didn't offer anything real. But a few weeks ago, my friend told me about this app Taffy. After signing up I realized I made the right choice in giving it a shot, and I highly recommend making one for yourself! Not only do you connect with real people, you have genuine conversations (some long). Its like a dating and chatting app all in one. I hope reading this review will get you to try Taffy. :)
This is my favorite app right now. Still trying to decide what I want out of it, but it's been really good for meeting people of like interests.. especially in my age group 20s.
This sucks.. I uninstalled it immediately cause there's no alternative way to sign up. Not everyone has a Facebook account nowadays.
Everything I've been looking for, its Absolutely fantastic. Only thing is it needs more people.
As of latest update it loads for a few seconds then crashes to a blank White screen its Litterally unusable
send hundreds of messages, but none of the posts have date stamps. therefore, you don't know if you're looking at posts from a day ago or a year or two ago. it says there is no one within a hundred miles of me
I like the idea but I really don't think this app is for people who are more into looks than personality period
The app interface is great. Not much point hiding the photo for about 3 seconds though. If you exchange a couple of lines the photo appears. This encourages people to start a chat then ghost, which is worse than not starting on in the first place. You should be able to choose when to reveal it. The suggested responses are hilarious. Excellent app but it never opens on Android (My primary device) and unfortunately, the user base is oppressively small, so there is actually noone to chat to.
