Good concept, very cheap and lightweight product: Problem 1: the app is confusing and very unintuitive. I can't figure out how to make the keychain geolocate. It was $5, I understand this isn't the best tech, but the app should make it easy to see where the keychain is at all times. Problem 2: the keychain immediately disconnects after you close the app. The device doesn't pair with the phone, it pairs with the app. So every time you accidentally clear your background apps, you lose your keys.

Several issues, first of all if you can even get it to stay connected to your keys, YOU'RE LUCKY!! I always find it in the bottom of my purse. Need a better way to attach it. Also, it constantly starts beeping saying that its out of blue tooth range even when my phone is right beside the dang thing. I'm glad I paid less than $14 for 2 because they're definitely not worth even that from our experience thus far....

I don't know what these bad reviews are about. I opened the app, clicked the plus sign in the upper right corner, and held the button on my tag it until it beeped and it just appeared. It starts off saying "disconnecting" but it really means disconnected. Tap that word and you're paired. To make your phone ring hit the button on the tap it device twice.

The app disconnects and reconnects from the device at random times even with the device right next to it. The device will sound repeatedly if you close the app so you have to keep it open on your phone. Edit: Im dropping the rating to a 1 star. Ive used 3 separate devices now. 1 quit working altogether. 1 broke loose and was lost without sounding and the other wont turn on after only 3 days of use. The app is equally as useless.

I have never been able to locate where the tile is located.. After 8 attempts, the actual tile never shows up on map.. Then when going thru the seemingly simple device, location, settings choices for access to some kinda information THERE'S NOTHING AT ALL Informative.. Whatsoever. And yes, in case you're wondering if I paired the app, phone and tile successfully via Bluetooth, I DID so 10 different times it's fine as long as the tile is actually with the phone the same location

It does what it says. However...your bluetooth must be on and connected to the Tag-it app. That means the app must run in the background. I'm using Samsung A20 from Metro Pcs and it works great for under $5. I got it at Walmart. This is a no brainers for me. I have 1 transponder key for my truck. To make a copy of the key and to have it programmed is about $100. Isn't it smarter to just stay connected via bluetooth. We all use our phones as lifetime must have devices..... we never turn them off

So the app and the branded device are laughably bad. For this device to locate your lost keys, you need to have the foresight to turn on both the device and the app.... Before you lose your keys! Next even though the package suggest GPS locating and bluetooth locating there is only a very short range of bluetooth signal only. There is the added function of being a camera remote, to take make your phone take a photo when you are not holding the phone. you need a tripod and phone mount first tho

Totally useless product. Won't pair with device, says it needs a key code but doesn't even give the option to do it, my phone has Bluetooth 4.0 at least and the app won't find my phone or do anything. Total waste of time and money. Don't even bother with this $4.99 toy. It's only use is to drive your other half, kids or animals nuts with it's lame chirping noise. WALMART, YOU NEED TO NOT CARRY THIS ITEM. waste of gas to drive it all the way back to return it. YAY!

Box that the Tag comes In shows a key ring attached to the tag to clip to your keys or whatever, but the tag didn't have the pictured key ring. Instead it had a really cheap and super easy to fall apart break away chain. Really poor choice for such a neat item. Also battery life says "up to 6 months" and no visible way to replace battery, and no instructions in manual to replace battery which leads me to believe that this is a disposable item. Pretty wasteful.

Would much prefer a push notification. A custom "alarm" would be nice, I personally was hoping all I get would be like a 1 or 2 second tone to tell me my tag it is out of range. I could do this with my phone for any push notification. And for it to not use the audio sound on my phone, and instead use the alarm setting or ringtone setting for volume.

Ray. S. Oct 21, 2019

Works good but app needs updated... to where the app does not need to stay open .. soon as app closes everything shuts off... no good at all very poor set up... would work great if app would stay running even while closed or best even if phones off... if you could locate the phone while it was off better yet but have s10 plus so ik it's not a phone issue have one of the newest out

Battery for device died after a week. Advertised to last like 6 months. Device constantly disconnected while in proximity with phone with bluetooth on. Does not auto recoonect. Does not save setting for tag when it disconnects. Not even worth the 5 dollars spent on this at Walmart. Stay away from this product. I firmly believe anyone who gave this more than 2 stars was a bought review.

Hea. H. Jul 21, 2020

Every time I pull this up it either deletes the different items I synced up or best case they are still linked just name and picture erased. Very annoying. If I can't connect or pull up the items, than this fails to help me find my missing items.

Device tested on: Samsung Note 9 OS: Android Pie Bought at Walmart Price: $4.99 + tax (you get what you pay for) Device was simple to pair, after opening and reinserting the included battery, but the app is very basic, although it will do what it supposed to do, it has one mayor flaw, once you close the app, the tracker set off alarm and won't stop till a) Opening the app and turn it off or b) turn off tracker by pressing the button on the front, basically defeating the purpose of the tracker

I lost my tag and the app doesn't show where was the last time it saw the device but worst it doesn't even show that i had one!! empty, no tags at all. horrible! i won't recommend it. The taking pictures and recording audio is a creepy thing in this app.

Ant. D. Mar 20, 2020

Bought 2 of these for my dad for Christmas. Took him a while to get around to setting it up. He is very technology-challenged and so I was helping him. After reading the horrendous reviews, we both cancelled the setup. You know something is bad when you quit using it before you ever use it! And WHY is the permission needed to record audio? Beware of this dangerous app! That alone got us running away. Completely bogus! Careful Tag-It so you don't get sued! You're on the right track!

Sha. B. May 22, 2020

A piece of JUNK! AVOID! IT DOES NOT FUNCTION. I made a mistake buying this product before I read any reviews. The model I had was 3768. It has Bluetooth connectivity problems from the beginning. Thank goodness this product wasnt god awfully expensive.

Duw. G. Jul 21, 2020

Useful but flawed. Why would I have to turn up my phones volume in order to sound the alarm? What if it's on silent? Kinda defeats the purpose, especially if I cannot call it, because it's on silent. What a silly overlook. Otherwise, it's useful for the most part

Mee. T. Feb 25, 2020

I am usually open minded, and thought for 5$ I'd give this a try. I knew I'd get what I paid for, but I got nothing. It only connected when I had the device right near the phone with the app open. As soon as I closed the app, the alarm on the device started screaming. It wouldnt let me pair with the blue tooth option on my phone. I guess my advice is just spend the extra dollars and buy the Tile that does what this claims to do. The developer and owner of this product should try reading reviews.

Ber. Jul 29, 2020

Littalry was fine for a few days but just as I closed the app it crashed my entire phone. I had to wait a good ten minutes for my phone to restart itself as I was not able to interact with any part of the screen or completely shut it down

Z. A. Nov 10, 2019

Never had it working, the app failed at startup. Three times I installed and once I rebooted my phone. It's not worth the time that I put into it, the fob hit the garbage can at 100 mph.

Ash. B. Jul 11, 2020

This item is so cool I cannot believe all the options it has on it! I've never been able to find my keys half the time and these items are definitely going to make it so much easier. I do wish that the chick that's on it was a little shorter but you can deal with that lol

Bus. J. Mar 3, 2020

Keeps crashing will not open. Whoever got this app to open obviously doesn't have a high-end Samsung Galaxy phone. Had to use a different app. Bought two and will be returning both of them and putting the money towards a different brand. They were hoping that they could keep my $10 but they're about to lose it and Walmart is about to recoup it and this company will gain nothing from me except for a bad review and a possible Better Business Bureau complaint to tag-it because they ignore people.

Woo. T. Apr 4, 2020

The app doesn't work. Does nothing. What happened to pride? New review, after 3 months Still does nothing uninstalled and reinstalled several times. No response from anyone. This is worthless!!!!!!!!!! Don't waste you're time or money.

The. Nov 3, 2019

App wouldn't sync or even read my device. Unistalled 3 times and re-installed. Finally gave up. The app needs work. Poor quality. Definitely going to return this product.

Cod. D. Jan 18, 2020

Flakey. Couldnt get it to work. Dont like the fact it wants permission to record and access to my phone and photos. Shouldnt need all that. Didnt work at all. Deleted app and throwing away the tag it.

Dem. 0. M. May 12, 2020

It automatically disconects when you close the app, making the alarm go off. Therefore, to keeps this from happening, you must have the app open 24/7 which is something i do not wish to do

She. W. Jul 24, 2020

I cannot figure out how to get the beeping to stop after I close the app. Why does the app have to be on 24/7? And the only way to get the beeping to stop is to turn the tag off, which defeats the purpose having the tag if I don't plan on losing the object the key is on.

Bry. X. Dec 29, 2019

Worthless, app has to suck the life out of your phone to work, if you can get it to work consistently. And what the hell is the recording? Doesn't play and no option to record things. This app is suspicious and I wouldn't be surprised if it spies on you directly. "Made in china", know what I'm saying?

Joh. D. Dec 3, 2019

Never able to pair. And wants access to your files, camera , location etc. None is needed to pair and beep when disconnected. Returning it. I wished it worked.
