Why ?That is because some tag editor only edits ID3 tags. TagMusic directly makes changes to Android MediaStore as well as ID3 tags. MediaStore is a database where android stores meta data of media files.
Benefits of tagging MediaStore are:
* No need to reboot the phone to update tags.
* No need for scanning media.
* Songs with same artist will be merged automatically.

Strong candidate for the best editor. It lacks viewing songs by folder and can't wipe all tags in one file in one click.
Doesn't work! It looks like it does, but it doesn't save the file with the tag in it.
Its OK For Custom Tag Editing... But There are Many Bugs, Such is It Can't Load The Album Art On The Music File On The Same Quality.. But This Is OK For Minimal Usage...
Actually add free. Allows you to add genre, album art and other information which is a real bonus.

I would give it ten stars if I could. It performs better than advertised. Great job developer. Now, if only you could add more categories like "artist" and allow long mixes to show in the list without having to use the search button to find them ... it would be perfect.
When I edit the tag of a song, it works and saves in the app, but when I go to Google Play Music (where my dowbloaded music is stored) the changes don't appear. Any idea on how I can get this fixed so the changes appear in Google Play? If this gets fixed, I'll leave a 5 star review :) Other than that, this app is very easy to use and the changes apply (in app) very quickly.
A tag editor that actually works. Fifth app that I downloaded. I was skeptical because earlier ones were not doing what they were supposed to. But this app did work. Thanks.
Need 'undo' option tho xD (I accidentally deleted original album art and had to download another picture)
Most tag editors I run into tons of problems, none so far here. I will gladly take simple features that work any day over bells and whistles
I'm five starring this because everything else in the play store is awful and this really should be added to f droid. It could do with a UI help/tutorial page in the settings.
Works absolutely perfect for editing tags on albums that you may have transferred to your phone. Not a single flaw on my LG!
Only saves some songs, u out have to constantly fix what it says it saved! Uggg, please fix this issue.
Doesn't work with id3 tags set by phones music manager. Hit and miss. Very inconsistent.

The interface and organization are okay although it is missing an option to actually play the file who's information your editing. The only problem was the application didn't seem to recognize my storage and allow me to save any changes I made.
The app is really good, the best I have seen yet, but songs info are not updated on google play music too, please fix it. Thanks in advance.
Best lightweight tag editor and without ads. Please keep it ads free... always. Please add lyrics editing option. Copy, paste and cut not working, else fine.
Tested several apps to simply add title and cover to a song. Some failed with write problems to sd, others failed with aac files. This one just worked.
Finally found an app which lets me simply edit the album and artist without trying to change album art or create duplicates. Pair this with CoverGrabber and you can finally organise your music collection.
Of the dozen apps I tried to edit mp3 tags, this is the only one that recognized all of my files.

Everything's okay with minor bugs like same artists with different albums despite having the same name, but when i updated my phone everything i had changed reverted back to its original state and it's slightly annoying me. Help?

Songs titled with digits don't show up on the list. Can't fuse songs on the same album together. There's other apps that work much better out there. Uninstalled.
