I recommend trying Tabbles and not this. Tagspaces desktop version is slow af. Every click literally takes 10 seconds at least to respond. I had tagged a bunch already before finding Tabbles and there's no export option so I had to start from scratch again. Save yourself the trouble. Their mobile app is even worst than the desktop version.
Good app but not updated in more than 2 years. That makes it incompatible with current community edition, Mainly with the lack of support of the sidecar files, that the current community edition supports.
A distinguished and smart application. I would love to see a paid version of it. There are some revolutionary apps but don't find support
Good approach but very slow responding and inconvenient to use in UI
Good desktop app but mobile version is horrible! I hoped if there was 0 star
While I like the UI, the app itself is very slow when loading the file. At first I thought that the app wasn't working but after waiting for awhile, the contents show up but the cover of image still not following so instead I was facing with the blank content which makes me become uncomfortable while using it.
I do like the idea, but not really suites my needs. Also I found that text editor and markdown editor have glitches when editing text, cursor jumps one step forward or back usually in begining of the line or ended of the word when you need space.
Good app for read only on phone and tablet, and only if you really want tags or markdown. For some reason, words are appearing vertically, like word wrap is set at 1 character. I hope this can be fixed. Feature request: adjustable font size. I need larger text.
It's getting much better. Now the phone keyboard doesn't hide long notes in editing mode. some features are still missing though: the ability to swipe across screens, an exit button and ...
Stellar. I personally wouldn't use such a tool on my phone, but I absolutely love it on my Linux laptop. :) Great work nonetheless.
I tried using TagSpaces to manage files on my external SD card of my phone. But I could not get TagSpaces to save the changes I had made to my documents! It said the files had been saved, but in fact nothing happened.
It is too slow and buggy. You should consider rewrite it in react-native.
Crashes here and there. After enabling thumbnails, crashes become inevitable...
Can't write to external memory
I use tagspaces often on desktop and this Android version is exactly as good as the PC one.
Great concept.. Flawed app.
I like it, been using the desktop version for sometime now and I am planning to move my notes to it. One thing though, and I hope the devs answer me, if the application is totally offline why does it have full network access permission? Thanks
It's a great concept, and I like the desktop application well enough, but the Android app UI is not optimized for mobile, but rather is a direct translation from the desktop, and so it is cluttered, and not easy to use unless you have small, pointy fingers. Furthermore, the "known keyboard issue" affects me, and so this app is little more than a file viewer for me on my Nexus 5x.
Instead of keeping an external database, it actually renames your files WITH NO WARNING! I knew there was a reason I removed this "program" from my desktop. Now, I'm off to repair the damage caused by trying this app. Luckily, I didn't trust it and kept its access to a limited number of files. I do *NOT* recommend this app.
Keep up the good work. Not sure why people are having trouble with their files. You just save the file as usual.
I don't see any way to connect the app to my Dropbox folder that contains tagged files created on my desktop.
Amazing concept. It would be great if it could read files from a USB OTG on Nexus 5x
Doesn't work with nextcloud
There are lots of usability issues here - app doesn't render properly on tall phones, doesn't support subfolder-based tagging (which is supported on desktop), doesn't work with an SD card or the virtual storage setup provided by many modern phones - Also doesn't even really appear to be maintained, given the last update was in 2017. A shame, really - this is the only real file tagging app on Android at all.
