Tai chi (taiji), short for T'ai chi ch'üan, or Taijiquan (pinyin: tàijíquán; 太极拳), is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits.

The term taiji refers to a philosophy of the forces of Yin and Yang, related to the moves. Though originally conceived as a martial art, it is also typically practiced for a variety of other personal reasons: competitive wrestling in the format of pushing hands (tui shou), demonstration competitions and achieving greater longevity. As a result, a multitude of training forms exist, both traditional and modern, which correspond to those aims with differing emphasis. Some training forms of Tai chi are especially known for being practiced with relatively slow movements.

Excellent presentation. Step by step. I've been looking this kind of tutorial. Mostly seen in the net is a one way presentation in which you only see a single kind from start to end. In which very dissappointing since you will not know when to start and when to end for the single exercise. There is only start and end. But in this app you will exactly understand from start to end of a certain exercise which for me was an excellent presentation. Thank you for sharing these apps.. It's a big help.

Excellent instruction for the yang 24 form but with tons of extra links to really extend your practice and learn about tai chi. You will not find a better free instructional app. The only downside is some of the links in the extension section are now outdated and the videos are broken or truncated.

I have locked at many tai chi learnig apps this one is the best so far with very clear instructions that hard to find. Works without internet. Really good. But please can you make an update, coz is crushed doesn't open anymore. I tried to reinstalled. I like this app very much. Would be a sad lost Thanks:)

It's excelent app for Taijiquan, only very little room for improvement. But I absolutely love it and I know others will too. Take it from a chinese combat martial artist, try it out!
