SCIENTIFIC APPROACH
This app uses a technique for teaching tai chi that has been used by Master Li now for over 30 years. He has found that students who learn the 18 qi gong (or breathing meditation) set before tai chi actually learn the tai chi much better and have a stronger understanding of body mechanics and flow in the movement.

The app follows a scientific progression of
1) short warm up
2) breathing qi gong exercises
3) tai chi basics
4) short tai chi practice forms
5) and finally the 24 step Yang style form

Eight levels give a seamless progression to learning the 24 step tai chi form. After going through all 8 levels, you can choose your own training regimen to suit your schedule. Practice and learn at your own pace any time, anywhere.

CUSTOMIZED TRAINING & PROGRESS TRACKING
There is an 8 level progression that teaches basic postures, breathing and fundamentals of tai chi. After unlocking the 8 levels, you can tailor the training to your own needs and skill level. He is senior disciple of legendary Six Harmony Grandmaster Wan Lai Sheng, former member & coach of the Fujian Wushu Team and Chinese national champion in spear. Master Li co-authored a seminal book on the use of Chinese martial arts in basic self-defense entitled Fang Shen Shu.

Really enjoying the app, which has been a great refresher from classes many years ago. 24 part needs to be broken in 2 so you can choose set without having to go through the 4 segments first. Also really enjoyed the step by step approach, just needs a better menu to be able to return to a step without having to do the earlier ones first. Make those adjustments and you have a 5 star app.

The movements are clearly described and the breathing patterns are very helpful as well. However there are some things that would improve the app a lot, like the ability to select between the individual moments instead of having to go through them in sequence just tp get to the one you want.

Disappointing. The app has no clear menu. It starts by a compulsory sun salutation, a whole sequence not for beginners. I'm up to section 2 some of the basic qigong moves broken off in 2 minutes bits. That's great but I'm up to move 5 and can't go back to see move 1 or two. Also the baggy pants of the lovely gentleman make it actually hard to see if he's being his knees or not. Would be great to have a slow mo option and have the teacher face the same way as student some of the time. On the plus side no annoying adds and wasn't expensive.

App did not open on my phone, always shutting down immediately upon opening (Android 8.0.0). I contacted the developer, but they were not responsive. Lost $4.00 on this. Google does not refund so if you risk to buy this app, be forewarned you might be sacrificing your money. Very disappointed with this experience.

This is a wonderful app they do the moves slow enough to follow along and the person who helps guide is both calming and insightful definitely recommend this especially if you are a beginner to tai chi

sadly none of the sections wanted to open, it always told me that "this section" is locked which applied to all of them despite payment. I had the same issues with "meditation moves". Maybe due to the fact that i have an Android phone?

The only Real Tai Chi app in the Play Store. They also offer 7 minute Chi, which is Brilliant for quick easy Chi practice. Both are Brilliant apps and the developers are commended.
