Great game but some of the controls are a bit wonky. There is an option to move the power up buttons to either bottom or the side but it doesnt work, the buttons remain on the side of the screen even when I move them to the bottom in settings, so I'm constantly hitting power ups when I dont want to. And randomly the fire button stops functioning, I'll be in the middle of shooting plane and then the fire button will only shoot one bullet when I hold the button down, great game but some issues.
Ok, this is just mindless fun! The big band music and images from the era are a great touch. I really liked the floating targets in the beginner levels which lead the enemy aircraft; helpful for honing your skills a bit. (Side note: I grew up learning to trap shoot so the simulation of leading the target is really accurate.) Especially impressive is just knowing that this game was developed by a team of one; great work.
Great game, well thought out, great graphics, and addictive to say the least. Ads are kept to a minimum. Allows for several different game and practice levels. Cons: I don't know if it's just me but seems like the Jap planes take more damage than they could in real life and occasionally the game just stops and goes to the home page. You can go right back in to the game and resume play but it screws up any kind of momentum you may have going. Definitely Top 5 material.
Very cool ! Graphics are great ! This game could be improved however, to make it more user friendly and easier for a disabled person such as I missing a left arm! For a person missing their right arm also! Having only one hand, ( four fingers and one thumb) obviously, makes it pretty difficult to get Beyond a certain level!! So try to improve it in that area guys and gals!! Good game!! Keep up the good work!!
Pros: The gameplay is smooth and very detailed and is probably the one thing that keeps you coming back every time. Cons: Easy Mode should give you an appreciation of several levels. However, aiming and firing takes considerable concentration and you would be lucky to get to level 30. I can't imagine what the "insane" mode would be to achieve any merits from the gameplay. This is another profit driven game that ramps up your entertainment value to the point of having to spend your $$$$.
Fun game, easy to pick up and get decent at, but man... Those "Zeros", and to a lesser degree the ME 109s are too damn maneuverable. I get that their whole point is fragile and fast, but it's way too much. It wouldn't be so bad if their movements made sense, but when the plane is on it's side slightly inverted then suddenly zips from the bottom of the screen to the top without rolling back to level... either nerf the maneuverability or make the animations make sense. Hitting them is 90% luck.
It just stopped working. I really liked it, but then the second time I found time to play it, it would be longer aim. I tried everything including a re-install, but you cannot aim anymore unless you choose the aim with touch mode..... And that is awful. And yes, I switched back and forth from different modes to no avail long before I reinstalled it.
Definitely having a lot of fun with this game. Most mobile games usually isn't my thing but I like how this one feels like fps shooter from the arcades. There aren't too many ads and you can earn a fair amount of War Bonds by watching ads. There's only a few game modes and the gameplay can feel repetitive. Overall really good game and a fun way to past the time.
Plays exactly as described. Easy to understand the controls. Ads are not working, so I can't use them for powerups. Seems to need a little more something -- maybe the ability to go down a level to get points for upgrades, online gaming against others, and/or team play. Still, a fun little shooter!
This is an edit to my last "IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY" review. After carful consideration, I will call this one USER ERROR! I'm embarrassed to say. It wasn't the game. It sounds really dumb, but I was trying to aim the sight in the wrong direction. Don't judge me I'm old! After getting the feel of the aim, I quickly became a pretty good shot. The gameplay is smooth, graphics are awesome. This is definitely a five-star game. Thumbs up to the developers.
During the first 10 rounds the controls are sluggish, they stick, the AA has to be tapped multiple times before they fire and the same for the water coolant. I'm not very impressed with the game so far but it still in the early stages so will reserve final judgement until I've played longer.
Lots of Fun for WWII Air War Buffs! I like that the no-ads version is totally playable unlike some games. While the power-ups aren't exactly historically accurate, the overall experience of shooting at enemy aircraft gives a fair impression of what it might have been like to be a tail gunner. Nice game, lots of fun, well done!
Finding this game to be alot of fun. Challenging enough for me without being over the top with difficulty. It is now three weeks on from my initial review ( the first two sentences). The game has started to become very glitchy with such things as freezes, not adding all your kills to your war bond total and not always resetting your shields to five at the end of a wave. Spoils what is otherwise a great game.
This game is truly addictive! I love everything about it, no exaggeration! What pay features are offered are done so unobtrusively and are completely unnecessary to fully enjoy the game. Also, you're given ample opportunities to upgrade via ad watching - which actually works. Seriously, other app designers could learn a few things from this game.
Game plays well but would be nice to be able to select earlier waves to get some easier practice rather than only tough level you are on, minor gripe though. Not too plagued with ads or rate-me-hassles. Epic music! Poss just me, but wish didn't judder when enemy passes. I understand this is to simulate taking hits 'cos didn't manage to hit a plane, but makes it nigh impossible to hit the other ones. Thats probably the point, yeah?
Fun, and free. You can build up points rather easily so no purchases are needed. No ads if you don't want them. If you have no skill or concentration I guess you're boned as this game needs a bit of both. Very well maintained and updated often. Works very well. No annoying ads if you opted out. Outstanding support. The best action game on my Android 5+ stars Update, performance and options increased. Excellent developer support.
Fantastic arcade game. Simple and intuitive gameplay with lots of room to grow more skillfull in your aim and leading. The enemy planes are all very well-modeled, so you could easily learn to ID many Axis planes just from playing this game a bit. Very light on ads with an option to disable them entirely free. Good controls, too. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because there's no achievements, objectives, upgrades or anything else to work towards, making gameplay feel a bit pointless after awhile
This would be great if I didn't have to recalibrate the gyro after every level. I should say "try" to recalibrate because most of the time it doesn't work. When it does work and I choose to watch an ad to regain shields, after the ad it stops working again. The game has potential but too many bugs for now
This game is awesome. Easy to handle as far as the controls. But the game is very challenging to move forward in the rounds. I really enjoy how visually realistic it is and how realistic it seems to be as far as the equipment is as well. It has a lot to offer in several different age groups. I find myself playing whenever I can. Thanks again for making this game. Hope you make similar ones in other areas of combat.
Id like to give it more stars, but you cant get extra lives after the shields are wiped out. Giving it similar scores every game regardless, unless one buys upgrades, which gamers shouldnt have to do just to advance through the game. After awhile,,at some point, boredom sets in leading to un-installing it as theres no more fun to be had. Bad form actually.
