takealot eReader

Very frustrating to use. Slow to load and doesn't take control over and retain screen brightness like Kindle does (unless you're speed reading the screen dimms halfway through a page, requiring you to touch the page, which then often goes to the next or previous page).

There's no option to zoom in. Makes it almost impossible to read a book, especially for people with vision problems

I am not sure if I just don't know how to work this app, but I am highly frustrated. Currently reading a book that has references. If you click on the reference, it takes you to the place in the book...Cool...however, how do I get back to where I was!!! References are in the back of the book, I was still at the introduction and now have to page back hundreds of pages to get where I was. Help!

I am really disappointed takealot. I have bought 4 ebooks from you and only one appears whenever I go to library or downloads it requests for my pin which I've entered a gazillion times and yet it doesn't work. Please fix this

This app is useless. i bought a book but can't seem to download it. it just keeps on saying "processing " after I click download, but nothing happens.

Very disappointed, purchased a book from takealot followed instructions, this app is too outdated for my hauwei p20 pro, there is no download option even though there is proof I've purchased on the app, will not even work on my iPad 6th Gen, 🤦🏻‍♀️

First and only time I use Takealot to purchase an ebook. 😵

OK so maybe I missed it buy this app is seriously missing the functionality to synchronise my last position read in books between devices... That's somewhat fundamental as many people don't read on only a single device...Big bummer to an otherwise great app.

My friend Monde told me to write a better review so here is. Im disappointed in the app as honestly this is the first time Ive had any kind of problem from anything offered by takealot. I use them often and have always recieved great service from them. I need to use this app for a college textbook and fpr some reason it keeps uninstalling itself from my device for no reason or simply wont open.

Regret buying ebooks from Takealot. Staff are also not interested in assisting although I did receive constant feedback. App does not open forcing me to uninstall, reinstall and redownload my books...very frustrating and it doesn't look like the will be fixing it soon.

Disappointing. Despite setting up precisely according to instructions, my purchased e-book was not digitally delivered. In other words I lost my money. All my complaints and queries were equally disappointingly handled with, needless to add, no positive outcome.

If you buy ebooks from Takealot then you have to use this ereader and its useless. Will never buy another book from Takealot

This is the most frustrating thing. I downloaded the takealot eReader so that I could read my textbook. That works okay but could definitely be improved... But every time I try and download something from the internet, or try read my study guides which are available on the internet in pdf format, my tablet keeps opening the pdfs in the eReader app, even though I'm selecting chrome as the platform I want to open in... and then the eReader keeps crashing! Some help would be great...

Waste of money to purchase a book on this app

On my SamsungGalaxy 10.1 keeps getting, 'force close', error message. It is not worth buying Kalahari ebooks due to this problem

It needs to be fixed. It often crashes whenever I try to highlight something. Also, I don't see the point of having to create a new account with another company just to use this product. Honestly, this product needs to be examined and fixed, because it is really unreliable as it is.

Used this app before to study for the K53 learner's test, now I have to go for the driver's in a week's time and I can no longer read the same ebook, I'm guessing the turnaround time to fix my problem is not going to give me enough time to study, now I'm going to have to buy a new book to study from, what a waste of money, you let me down takealot...

The app doesn't work. It quits as soon as I open the book I bought. I emailed Takealot customer service but received no reply. Onclusion: Don't buy ebooks on Takealot.

It would be nice to access downloaded books in your library throughout devices, instead you are limited by amount of times you can download books you've paid for. Other apps are much better. Disappointed in Takelot. Not like the standard I'm used to from Takelot.

I've downloaded this app and reinstalled countless times and still it doesn't show the book I've bought from the site. Useless app. If I could rate it 0 I would.
