Love the aspects of party management, resource management, character growth, item variety, open world map, consequences of choices/actions. Would be better if: 1) the travel time is faster with autoclick on resources, 2) uses less RAM [it once crashed on my 6GB RAM phone], 3) specific numbered speed on the travel speed slider, 4) shows the "ETA on moderate speed", before starting a journey, 5) more details on what each Stat & each spell does [e.g.: Sleep, Stun, dodge/counter chance factors]
Not sure what happened to my first review...My game is stuck and will not move on. After u visit the first castle and talk to the king. U get back out in front of it, and let what's her face go or forbid to go to the scribes to make sure her comrades are remembered. I have tried both ways. To let her go and forbid her. No matter what, game will not move on past that. I tap & tap & nothing happens. I have spent $ several times. Need to be able to restore purchases bcuz I need to try to reinstall
there's places it could improve, some of the art rendering, sound effects, maybe an expanded, trading economy. None of that really affects the quality and care put into this game. It is thoroughly engrossing, relaxing and intense. The art is impressionist and immersive, hand drawn for every region and season along the parralax scrolling backgrounds. Combat can run on auto, but benefits from pausing for proper commands, so don't fall asleep at the wheel.out of characters, Thumbs Up!!
Another good game ruined. It was awesome when I first bought it but now it's clearly been turned into a cash grab. The slaver battle right at the beginning is completely unwinnable with your starting assets and must be defeated to advance the game. Of course you can buy the equipment directly by paying even more money. Charging for the game and then making it pay to win as well, that's just wrong.
The story is great. It becames hard through the time. The money are most important thing and there is a lack of them. Also narration would help. It's more pleasant to hear human voice then read long dialogues.
Brutality difficult. Save, load, save, load. Some interesting game mechanics add a star but not recommended. As for claims this gets easier after putting in dozens of hours I wouldn't know. Didn't find it interesting enough to make that commitment.
Played for about an hour so far, and it's been great! The concept and depth is good, and really draws the player in. However, it's very laggy, making it quite a pain to play. I've to wait till I've a big block of free time to even attempt playing this.
2 hrs into the game, loving it...! Love all the choices you have to make... keeps you on your toes. Just like real life ; )). Edit : Wow, thanks for your email response, will get stuck into EP3 asap...! (got it now, hehe). The diversity of events, characters and decisions you have to make just makes this a really fun game to play...! Cheers
I have finished the game before the new year 2019 and forgot about the series , and now that it came to my mind , I went to the store and couldn't find the sequels . What happened ? P.S. I love the game so very much since the title is intriguing too , also my homeland is a direct descendant of the great Illyrian empire . Much love . P.S.S. The last update was in 2016 , why so long without an update ar even a tiny bit of new gameplay ?
I did love this game. I beat it after a few tries, after I did however, it ended. Nothing else to do but replay the final battle, it's just..I wanted moar! I spent many a hour playing instead of sleeping. Was very addictive for me. Was hoping to the west would unlock after..or get to the islands. Or get the chance to spend the literal fortune you amass in the last chain of battles
Giving it 5 stars for the lovingly crafted development that went into it. You can tell the dev really put a lot of heart into this. It's charming looking and has a story book feel. Ultimately the play style wasn't for me, but i was impressed by the production value. I recommend this for everyone to try and buy the paid version to support this type of labour of love app development!
Best game I have ever played on mobile hands down. Story made me feel immersed and part of it. I love how I felt at times that I was reading a book and almost writing it at the same time. Downloaded chapter two. Onward!
Very difficult at first but you need to learn a lot to fully understand the gameplay but take my word for it, once you get how things work you need to grid a lot of experience and gold...
Beautiful hand drawn animations and so much depth for a phone game. Storyline is great and the old school feel makes me think their is hope for the games industry. Kinda scoffed at the other reviews for complaining about difficulty. Thin skinned people that would hang themselves if they came across an old dragon quest emulator. My only quip is the generosity of NPCs once you have a saintly karma, I'm only hours in and I feel like a hero for just blocking a cave entrance. All in all a gem in the play store I was lucky enough to pick up for free.
I love it so much it mixed final fantasy, elder scrolls arena and Oregon trail combine. It's actually an easy game even without in app purchases. If you know those three games I recommend playing it. I know this is a review but what actually inspired making this
Needs to be updated, lags non stop. I downloaded a game booster in cunjunction with playing this. I love this game, works flawlessly now. Use a paid game booster to optimise if you're having issues. Wish you guys still made games, absolutely gem, love it
A great fantasy setting. Survival and turn-based combat combine to create a large world with several opportunities and original storytelling.
1 star because the sequel (Beyond the Iron Wall) has been removed entirely from the store. Paying for a game and then having it taken away is really poor behaviour. Is there any way to get hold of it again? I hope you can bring it back Chad.
I can tell whoever made this game had put in a lot of hard work into this game it has extremely a lot of dialogue and stories which is Non-Stop this game is unforgetting I don't know how the developer do it it's like one of the most perfect RPGs in the app store
Amazing, waiting for "Tales of a Distant Galaxy". Perhaps "Space Station Illyria"? These games are fantastic and my whole family has played through them several times. Ready for these guys to walk me through the stars.
this is a very good game. the only question I have is about the sequel: what happened to "tales of illyria: beyond the iron wall"? I purchased it but can no longer download it from google play store?
Good game, used to play this from years ago, in-game stories are very interesting, gameplay is quite easy, but get harder as it came near end.
I love this game and the art style is amazing. The best way to put it is simple and amazing! There needs to be more games exactly like this
Crashed on final battle lost all my progression. Really annoyed me won't be playing again
The other 2 Ilyria games are far better than this one unfortunately. This version is very linear, can't customize the main character whatsoever (doesn't even let you do his skills), gold is extremely scarce despite how much you need (but you can buy gold for real money! yay...-_______- ), has unbalanced combat and DESPERATELY needs a skip dialogue button. Can't even speed through the dialogue, you're forced to hit constantly moving Continue buttons dead-on to advance them.
