Talk to deaf

Perfect for taking to my deaf mother! She has recently gone completely deaf. This app is great because it only transcribes the sentence you want it to. Other speech apps just keep putting new words on the screen, which is confusing for an old person. A good enhancement would be to have a swipe-to-delete a block of text. 5*.

Exactly what I needed to communicate with my deaf Mother ! Text size easily changed so she doesn't have to put on her glasses to read it either. 🙃

This app may be a nice idea but does not work for me. You have to keep hitting the microphone button and doesn't pick up other voices. Plus shifts to Google. Google's Live Transcribe works better, but I want an app that doesn't need to be linked to WiFi to use.

Needs improvements: 1- Ability to change text and background colors(black background white text..good for nighttime) 2-As others have mentioned, voice times out too soon. Needs PTT button to toggle voice input ON/OFF. I.e. keep voice input on until YOU want to end it. No updates in a long time, doubt there will be more.

Pitiful, brings an additional anchor to the deaf and hard of hearing. Might be better served as a personal dictating machine. Does not pick up conversation unless the talker has the phone and speaking into it. If a lull in conversation it quickly switches to retry and misses the conversation while you fiddle with it start again. You really must hate deaf people to inflict this app on them.

Works best for short conversation. Tried to use for a meeting. The microphone needs to stay on until I press stop. It should not stop when the speaker pause. That is frustrating that I lost important information.

5 stars if issue is fixed The option to keep the mic open when ur in a group settings insteade of constantly having to hit the microphone button every time somebody else speaks up. Just keep it on or open for a set amount of time as determined by the deaf/ hoh users in settings - LoneWolf_Outlaw

A great app with a very simple design, making use easy. This is s proving to be a great assistant for helping people talk to my deaf Mother. No ads also helps reduce confusion and accidental screen selections. Appreciated and used continuously.

I work with a deaf coworker and this app has been extremely helpful in talking with them. I like that it doesn't have ads and that it has Pro features, I just wish it was a little cheaper.

This is my first time using a speech to type. The transfer would stop, then I missed what was said. The screen often cleared and I would have to turn it back on.

Very handy and useful. I work for a non profit organization and a deaf person came to our office asking for help I didn't know what to do so I thought on look for an app that convert voice to text and I found this one. Helped me a lot.

Please how to design this app so that if someone speaks from a distance of at least 1 meter, then it gets typed in equal and!Type without any internet connection. It would be great to develop it. We thank you very much for this.

Excellent and amazing App👌. It has enabled me to communicate with the hearing. But kindly, improve voice detection to at least 2 meters

This could be a great app if it had the ability to change a few settings, like background color, text size and screen orientation.

I am 100% deaf. My son use this technique already. It's too good to me. Whether if I install this in my phone and want to open always and conversations or if someone want s to talk me and what he speak phone will relieve n I can read if it is possible then 6 star .need to clear reply.

Really accurate voice to text, but there is no option for my non-verbal friends to type a response to me.

I have a Galaxy 10 plus and right now I'm talking to text and this app is stating that the voice options for this device is not compatible with the app any suggestions

Great app my mom went DEAF a few months ago and this app has been a God send.I want to THANK whoever made this app.

Please add support/option for other languages. It's easy: Google's speech engine already supports this. Thanks!

This app only turns your voice to text. There is no way for the deaf or hard of hearing to communicate back to you

I loved this app, until they upgraded it. Now it is nothing but frustrating. I'm looking for a different one.

It's been great for communicating with our 91 yr. old friend. Used have to write out everything. Not now.

Can't hear a teacher teaching

It's great to communicate but you really have to talk clearly and slow as it changes words

Very good, tried to speak clearly but several times it misheard what i said, very handy to have on phone.

Horrible. Hard to use takes way too long and it doesnt type while your speaking!

Finally I can have a great conversation with my neighbor and not wonder if he clearly understand me. A great app.
