Talking Alarm Clock

I always loved the talking option in my Samsung s5 alarm app. Have really missed it since my switch to xiamo. Alarm clock Extreme has become so troublesome I had to search for something else. This performs the same function as my venerable Samsung app did. HOWEVER, It's much more complicated than it needs to be. I hate the default to "say the time" . Plus there's a vocal label AND a text label so I always have to enter info TWICE!!? 🤯 It needs a template screen and a setting to auto copy labels

This used to be my favorite app until the latest phone update. The alarm now will no longer make a sound. I have missed several appointments several do to alarm not going off. I sometimes still get the pop-upstell me that there was an alarm and when I click on the pop-up then it will talk.But the alarm itself will not make a sound to give me a notification so that I know that an alarm is going off. I hope they fix fix this soon...for now I am having to use an entirely different app for an alarm.

I used this alarm all the time. Now I'm using it on my Lenovo P2 it only works when it's set on that day it's needed. If you turn your phone off none of the alarms work. It's a shame because it was working well. My last phone a Samsung S4, although it had worked well, on reflection fairly often all the alarms would go off at the same time, and nothing you did would turn them off. You had to switch off your phone. Often would only just repeat the whole process again. Why not getting any updates?

I used this app for over a year. this morning it went off and froze my phone. I could not power off or anything. it kept going for almost an hour telling me every minute. I have a note 8 so removing the battery was not an option. finally it went off. I immediately installed it. what happened to this app?????

I have the same issue that Brian Doherty put in his review of the pro/free version... I've loved this alarm clock! But for some reason, some alarms won't turn off no matter what I do (first with my S8, now same issue with my 9+). Same as Brian, by the time I can get the alarm off (90w of the time by doing a hard restart) - my phone would get super hot (like I'd left it in the sun!) Too bad, fantastic app otherwise!

This app was working great until it took over my phone!! The app LITERALLY took over my phone. It started merging the voice message labels together from each alarm, kept saying the message over and over and OVER again! I couldn't do anything else on my phone. I couldn't turn the volume down, couldn't unlock my phone. I couldn't even bring up the option to restart my phone. A HORRIBLE WAY YO START MY MORNING!!! I hate this app!!! 😠😠

When I'm playing light music on another app, and an alarm starts going, the Talking Alarm Clock blasts the volume of my music in the other app while speaking and it's super annoying. It doesn't know how to only increase the alarm volume but instead increases my entire phone volume. Also if i press anything other than snooze or dismiss the alarm screen disappears and i can't get back to it by opening the app and the entire time the alarm is blaring so i have to reboot my phone each time.

Never miss an important event Update 12/1/2021 - went bezerk repeating one alarm at full volume, until finally the phone rebooted. Doing this every 10 minutes. Takes over screen when trying to stop it it keeps snoozing for 10 minutes. Tried to contact website, but it doesn't exist! Halp! Got back in and force stopped the app. If it glitches again, I will regrettably delete the app and find another. This was originally a 5 star review!

DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!!!!!!! If I could, I wouldn't give it any stars! It totally hijacked my phone! The alarm went off at the wrong time, and when I tried to cut it off it wouldn't stop! It just kept repeating itself over, and over again until I had to literally uninstall it, which was almost impossible because it took over my phone. I just had to keep pressing buttons!!!! The problem wasn't the phone because it's brand new. Save yourself the headache, pass this one by.

I've loved this app for several years but now it has stopped going off. I use it for wake up, of course, but take seizure medicine that must be taken on time and my alarms have stopped going off. I loved that it could say what I want but now I'm on the search for another app that I can tell it what to say but actually works. Yes, I've tried the PRO version with the same sad results...MOVING ON.

Solid Alarm clock. My biggest complaint is that you can't snooze or shut off alarm with a spoken phase like "shut the hell up". Lately the alarm will not dimiss, even when clicking the dismiss button. No way to send feedback in the app. The app may be abandoned?

Loved it, EXCEPT it randomly glitches and goes into a full volume, audible non stop, non clearable alarm until device can be LUCKILY allowed to be powered off or battery drained to forced shut off. This has repeatedly and randomly occurred for years. Each time, EVENTUALLY able to SOMEHOW Uninstall the app to get it to stop. (Android phones) I will be finding another app.

Hate to leave this review, because I really did like this app, but lately it has started to malfunction SO much, that it's not worth it. 1stly, it always continues making an alarm sound, even after I click dismiss..but I tried to ignore that since I like the app so much. Today, my phone got so jammed up with 100s of voice alarms, that I could not turn off, and it was so bad that it wouldn't even let me restart my phone! I was eventually able to uninstall it, after constantly closing the alarms.

As others have mentioned, this app was great at first, then it just went wrong, it started going off at 22.40, a time I had not set an alarm for, and when I tried to dismiss it, it instantly brought up the same alarm and kept doing this, making it impossible to use the phone for anything else. Thankfully, my partner managed to uninstall it within 5 minutes, so I didn't have to suffer it for an hour or more like others. Don't install this app, find a better one.

Glitched really bad: couldn't shut off alarm! It turned up the volume on my phone all the way and wouldn't stop vibrating...took hours to be able to uninstall! This app is a total NIGHTMARE! Steer clear! And by the way, this is the only bad review I have ever given ANYTHING, and I have written dozens!

I live my Talking Alarm App! Its my friend for multiple reminders and tasks. The only hiccup is occasionally i cant dismiss an alarm and it continues for a minute. It could be my phone causing the issue with so many functions and apps loaded. We laugh at all of the my voice message reminders! Whatever works!

I loved this alarm! It was so easy to use, I recommended it to everyone and then an alarm went off 4 days early and the only way to turn it off was to take out the battery. Happened again after no alarm this morning to wake me up. Disappointed and uninstalled :(

I loved this app, had it for several years, never had any issues till the latest android update, now it won't work at all. UPDATE: The app seems to be working fine again.

Left phone at home. When I returned the alarm was going off I was unable to turn it off or use any other app or turn off the phone. or get calls. The alarm app finally shut off when the phone overheated after I put it under a blanket to quiet it while the battery ran down. I have uninstalled it.

As soon as I installed the app on my phone I was having issues getting phone calls and then the icing on the cake was this morning the alarm would not turn off. For 24 minutes it wouldn't stop. It just kept talking and talking and talking. It also seemed extra extra loud and I was sure the one of my neighbors was going to bang on my ceiling or my walls to tell me to shut up. I do not suggest this app.

I'm with everyone else on here, for the 1st year it worked great but in last 3 months i've had to uninstall n reinstall this app cuz it wouldn't work. Then the alarms wouldn't go off. Or you couldn't turn the alarm off, you had to just turn phone off.... what's up? Everyone's complaining so why hasn't the developer FIXED THE PROBLEM SINCE WE ARE ALL COMPLAINING, PLEASE TELL ME YOU AREN'T ANOTHER STORM 8???????

Like it but definitely some bugs. First is that any timer set to 12:-- will read it aloud as 0:--. Secondly, every once in a while the timer doubles half way through making it so each timer has half of the correct information.

I use to LOVE this app I have it on all my devices but lately it's seriously lacking!!! 3 differnet random times now my alarm did NOT go off! Making kids late for school. I go into the app and make sure alarm is on YES, volume up YES, time right YES day right YES my phone even has the indicator that an alarm is set and will go off soon but NOTHING! 3 strikes you're out I'm gonna uninstall and find an new alarm app I like

I used to love this app. But with latest Android update I realized what this app permission requirements look like - admin access to phone, storage, contacts, microphone. Really why do you need to access my contacts, phone and microphone - do you want to make calls remotely from my phone??? And of I turn them off I am not able to get the alarm set off, I've been so relying on this cause me to get to office late on few occasions. Pls atleast describe why does this app need those permissions.

I have just loved this app because I could record my own message and my grandkids love to hear me in the morning when they wake up. But it has stop working for me and I cannot make it work again. so I downloaded the other talking alarm. But I miss it. My new talking alarm works good so far.

Love this app however it has started going off at eve wrong time and saying a message that is turned off. Example 3 days ago had alarm set to go to Dr at 2pm, today while in a meeting at 10am alarm went off "its 2pm Dr Smith" and would not allow me to turn it off. I ended up having to remove my phone case and take my battery out. I uninstalled this app a few days ago but can't find am app I like as well, so I am installing it again and hoping it does not do this again..
