Talking Caller ID (free)
Talking Caller ID speaks the caller id of incoming calls based on your phone's stored contacts. Talking Caller ID uses the built-in Android text-to-speech engine to voice the caller id when your phone rings.
The full (paid) version of Talking Caller ID is very configurable allowing you to customize it to voice the caller id only when you want it to. While the free version is feature limited, the core functionality is present. The paid version also removes the ads.
Talking Caller ID is great for any hands-free environment. Whether you receive calls while driving or you just don't feel like looking at your phone Talking Caller ID will tell you who's calling so you don't have to mess with your phone.

GETTING HELPIf you are having trouble, please contact me. Also, sending a debug log is very helpful when determining the root of the problem. This is done by going to the menu in the app and choosing 'Get Help'. Then click the 'Send Log' button.

i spent lot of time just trying to know which application is generating this very annoying advertisement. after each call i make a banner comes up with timer (10 seconds), the mobile hangs and i can not do any thing until this advertisement finish. this is the worse adv i ever saw.
It is so nice you don't have to dig out the phone to see who is calling, I hear the message and it gives me a choice as to whether I want, need, or deny the call. I don't talk on the phone when I am driving. I still think the state of Minnesota should ban the use of cell phone, no texting, for the old and the young generation. I live only 6 tenth of a mile from my work place and I bet I see 4 to 5 people per day who are abusing the rules. Sad to say it's going to continue to get worse. DON'T FORGET
Very much disappionted with the app because it automatically lowers d ring volumn & that way i have missed many important calls. & 2nd major problem is that after every call have to wait for 10-7 seconds to make another call... Not worthy of downloading... I'm uninstalling it... Hope to see the bugs fixed then will install it again.
I've had this app for a long time and it worked amazingly! Have even told many friends about jt. But Now it will only work for a few calls then stops. I go back into settings, make sure the text to speech works, then it starts working again but only for a few calls again. Please fix! I really love this app. I don't want to switch to another but I will if it doesn't get fixed.
I use this app. The best talking caller I'd in markert recommend to all. But I have one problem I use paid virsion of this app in my other gmail is and now I use my new gmail is this app is running but as a free version and can't use some future of this app. So I request kindly help me in this problem n solve if possible.
Don't know what's up, but I can't get the app to work with my new phone (htc DNA). Everything seems to be in order, but isn't functioning. Would go to 5 stars if it worked like it used to on my thunderbolt. I actually have the pro version too.
Free version doesnt work at all on Android phone. Dont known what paid ver does. I just deleted it & will try another app.
Listening to hear who is calling and a screen pops up saying unfortunately caller Id has stopped working. The purchased one is worse it waits until the caller hangs up before it starts to speak and gives a numerical value to the phone number.
I always know which one of my contacts is calling me before I look because my phone tells me. I really love that. Thanks
I appreciate it. There's about 6 second delay to use the phone after the call unless you press the back button yourself. A bit of extra work if you need to make an immediate call. Other than that, it comes in handy to just hear the caller ID read.
This will hang ur mbl frequently....even after cut of the phn or pick up the phn it still speaks for some time
Phone rang twice before being announced. Not announced through earpiece on call even though it did during Preview.
When someone calls, nothing happens. Then sometimes all of a sudden it will work. Not working now. May have to get rid of it if this continues
I really wish that your caller ID system was able to play through the Bluetooth headset. It would be a lot more convenient to check calls while using Bluetooth.
This app puts an annoying pop-up on the bottom of the screen after every call that dims and locks the screen for 7 seconds. home or back will clear the pop-up. No good. Uninstalled.
Somehow this thing went from English to Portuguese and there's no way of setting it back I didn't choose to change the language it just did it on its own. And I can't find any way of making it back to english

What have gave this app a 5 star but you guys need to do a lot more work in make it completely free it ain't worth it
My friend had this app and it worked like a treat on her phone. She has the same phone as me as well. Frustrating or wot

I love the convenience of it especially when I'm driving it announces the name or number of the caller so I don't have to take my eyes off the road to see who's calling. PUSH my Bluetooth to answer. I would recommend this to everyone that have nothing to hide...LOL!
I like it when it works but that's only about 10 percent of the time. I also don't like the fact that you can't answer the phone until the annoying ads are finished playing . This causes many of the phone calls to be dropped or lost.
Simply does not work. Nothing else to say really. It says nothing no matter who is calling and no matter what its settings are (galaxy S6)
Worked exactly 3times and now it does not work at all. App is zero ...do not use this app unless you are desperate to show off in front of people.
I have the paid version of this app, but after moving to Samsung GS7 it has reverted to the free version, and the paid app is no longer available. Mailed developer but no response.
Now I am alert from sms and caller buddy without seeing and picking my mobile in office times.
It don't give you the option to take off the ring tone still figuring out somethings.
It helps to hear the caller's name but I'd prefer not to hear an announcement of calendar appointments. I don't like being forced to pay for what I think should be part of the free content.
It really works hundred percent for sure 1 of the best apps I have seen in a long time . 99% accurate
Piece of garbage. Used to work with no problems. Now the phone rings and no voice notification of who is calling. I guess that if I buy the paid version that will be a feature that they unlock. I'm not falling for it. My speech to text is working but this app is always showing computing. Will get rid of this crap until I find one that works.
