Developer suggestions: To set the record straight, I'm not giving a bad review because I'm divorcing. I'm leaving a bad review because there are features that are missing that if added, this would most definitely be a five-star app. Those are two features in particular: 1) after a period a new sentence needs to be capitalized. 2) messages need to save drafts. I typed way too long a message that was lost because I left the app and came back.

Two reasons for the Rating. 1. I was required to use the app with knowledge that this is being monitored. 2. Was not informed we would have to purchase a subscription. I don't mind because my children are more then worth the security the app gives. Finally the biggest reason for the 2 stars is the ability to rig the system by having free subscription. Either make it all free and charge more to extract data for use or remove the free subscription and make everyone pay.

The user interface is adequate at best, both on the website and application. Minimal functionality for $25 a month. On top of this, they charge for transcripts of messages. Overall, its email with extra steps and a worse interface.

The app is stable, if not a pain to use. The interface is clunky, and the calendar app is particularly annoying to use. I wouldn't say this app really helps parents work with each other - just protect each other from the other. And you have to pay to do anything on the app.

So you pay over $20 a month, it won't verify my number and the video calling is trash. The nothing that's a plus is the texting and scheduling. Oh and you charge for minutes and are only aloted so much each month. I wish someone would make an app to take advantage of a bad situation... Wait you did.

The general idea of the app is great. The features that do not suit me is that you have to pay an extra $5.00 to turn on your notifications on the $19.99 plan. It, also, makes no sense to pay for the extra perks like video call or call button when only one parent has the plan, it's useless. They have a free plan that you can only access via web and not through the app.

The $5 a month which Is now 9.99 just scks. I didn't find it any better than simply texting, oh sure it dated each message but wasn't worth the pain of using the app. Also, if you change your phone and password, good luck trying to get a hold of someone to resolve the issue. You have to send them an email via support and just hope to get one back.

Billing issues, connection issues, missing messages. Good features not worth time time. We have constant issues with attachments. Double billing even though we can even use the service. They cancelled my subscription and raised the price without warning so i had no option except to resubscribe higher. Issues with calling connections. Issues with messages not being received even though they are sent on my end. Cool features but it's not cheap and we are required to use it..... Seems shady.

I get that things cost money in this world... but any parents that are using this type of app its for specific serious reasons and are most likely struggling enough already(with everything) to have to also worry about having paying to use the important features of this app.... In my opinion, it would be so much better as a whole if this app was free with all features included. Hence 3 stars.

I have had trouble with the app since I've been using it. Video calls are terrible it freezes up then slow motion and then it fast forwards. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

It works well especially for parallel parenting. It's missing other features like other apps, but at least it allows a parent to use for free, although it would still be better if it has solo mode and agreements list like coparenter. It has plenty of room for improvement, but overall it works well for basic needs.

This app can be helpful however, as a parent that has to use this to call his kids, it's ridiculous that I have to pay to make phone calls to another party on top of Child support and child care. I do not need calls recorded but as the state of CA mandates I use this to call my daughters this is the only way I can talk to them.

Best experience! It's easy peasy. There is nothing to it but to do it. I'm able to start an accountable conversation with the other parent with no worries. Thank you talking parents you are a life saver!

Really convent, it's a great way to communicate without worries. When I have problems the tech support respond in less then 24 hours.

Needs a function to search out keywords in message chains. It looks like it has one, but I can't get it to function properly. Hopefully this app helps me in my next court case over parental alienation!

Simple extortion. This is a court ordered app. In order to video chat for 2 hours a month, it costs $25/mo. If you want another 100 minutes, it's another $25. All this for the WORST video quality ever!! They must be in bed with the courts as the whole system should be illegal. Just another way to take advantage of someone in their time of need. Everyone involved should be absolutely ashamed of themselves!

To sum it up. This company will spam you, bleed money from you consistently, and is so poorly organized that even if you pay for the premium it is more akin to paying a really bad mobster protection money than a useful tool. As a custodial parent, and a dad, this court ordered app falls apart if the other party doesn't want to use it, even if it is court ordered. It is poorly organized, and if you try printing transcripts, let's say after 6 years? It would be a 6 year unsorted c*@st@r f*@k

I had to use this app and I honestly do not care for it too much. I wish there was a way to PROVE that I am really speaking to my child's father instead of his mother!! I know how he texts and the texts sound like his mothers and I do not see that as fair. You should not be able to download the app from any phone if it is court ordered. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Like, not knowing if they are really speaking to their co-parent? Also, I have messages that seem to be just disappearing?

Absolutely horrible. Expensive. Talk to text is inaccurate. Calls will not connect. On going issues which is hurting my child causing more emotional suffering. As well as myself.

Ridiculous! This app constantly tells me to upgrade to standard or premium whilst using the Web version or disable pop ups which i have 1000 times and yet still can't use the damn thing! This is meant to help and protect me/parents and yet is completely unusable u less I log on to a computer which isn't always possible!

Parts of it work great, but one extremely frustrating thing is if I answer a text or want to look something up when I'm typing, the entire long messages I have written are gone if they are not sent. There has to be a way for them to at least be saved as a draft.

Terrible! I paid, my child's father paid the $30 and the video won't connect or freezes and hard to connect. Text is just fine. We didn't pay for just fine. The amount of minutes is so little.

I LOVE THIS APP! This app is going to save a lot of heartaches! Whoever invented it is my new favorite person! I wish I knew about it sooner!!! There seems to still be some issues with the video chat. I'm not sure what it is. Internet is generally strong signal. Perhaps it's on the co-parents end. I give it still 5stars because the idea of it is brilliant.

Calendar posts are not listed as to when item was created. Calendar view is completely unusable on mobile devices and cannot view as monthly spread. Thumbnail views of attachments is non existant. I WOULD NOT USE THIS APP IF I WASNT FORCED TO USE BY RULE OF LAW. What a scam.

Absolutely love this app! Would have given it 5 stars except I can't use the financial transactions feature for Canadian accounts. Although the app support was very responsive when I submitted my request. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Terrible reception and cause a reason to not call me when I need to talk to my kids! Thanks talkingparents! Some kinda joke making money off this. Whatever way you want to make money. No one that works at TalkingParents would even use it! I asked lol Bye thanks for making my divorce even worse

Easy to use, wonderful app, helps to ensure positive communication and facilitate strong coparenting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This is a brilliant app for parents that are struggling to negotiate separated family relationships. I love the fact that it is "Time Stamped". It shows a clear record of healthy communication, as well as non responsiveness to genuine efforts made In relation to organising, and maintaining parental changeovers, communication, and other important details concerning the wellbeing of our children. The Journal is great too... Thank you ❤️
