Pretty close to the original Tamagotchi experience. Notifications sometimes don't show for when your Tamagotchi needs something, but this is rare. I experience a consistent bug where I cannot change my wallpaper, uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix it. Overall it is well worth it, though.
I love the game, but when the Tamagotchi goes through the pooping animation it soft locks the screen. Changing from App to Toy mode during this frozen point freezes it on a white screen. Restarting fixes it, but it can get annoying. Notifications are also not going off.
It's a simple but fun game. If you had one back then, than you will be very familiar with this app. The new APP mode makes some quality of life changes (touch support, updated sprites, music, and new game). Of course, you can play in the original mode too.
Getting rewarded the more pets you raise is a nice incentive. The color mode is a nice touch too! But what really ruined my experience was the push-notifications being silent, vibrate-only. And sometimes they wouldn't even show up when your pet needs attention.
OMG! THIS IS PERFECT! I kept trying to find a game like this for months now! I finally found this. I do have actual re release tamagotchis, but I think this is easier to have on me at all times. This is amazing! It would be cool if they made v2-v5 versions of this. Thanks!
So when will BANDAI remove this one? Is this a TNT app too? Did I purchase to own, or did I purchase to rent? I paid for Tamagotchi L.I.F.E. (had both Gen1 and Gen2) and I paid for Tamagotch Angel L.I.F.E. Only to watch them be removed, no longer supported, and no longer working on any of my devices. I believe it to be rediculous. Whats the guarentee here that the same thing wont happen again. I miss my ANGEL dang it. Gimme back my L.I.F.E. apps BANDAI. Whats wrong with you? I wasn't aware that it was TNT (Temporary and Terrific), or rentes for a limited time. I believe I should have what I paid for.
I'm giving three stars because one I don't think this app is supported anymore and that's a shame. So no matter how hard you change up your routine of taking care of your Tamagotchi I think no matter what you will be stuck with Kuchipachi and I think the evolution system might be bugged.
good for nostalgia. push notifications are buggy and often never alerts me. i havent been able to get the game to update wallpapers or other "features"
not worth even a dollar when i play with the pet it is a boring rock paper scissors mini game and it really doesnt live up even close to what tomagatchi is. you cant pick food variety or anything. its all set in stone and not fun at all, dont waste your money on this. It might be better to just save up for a real one.
I keep getting the same exact evolution and it's really annoying like I dont wanna take care of a tamagotchi for like 4 days just to find out it's the same one every time. I have only gotten the orange one with the tail like 5 times and its ugly but also just making my game boring it already has a lot less features than I remembered but I think that's because this is the original like the one that came out in 1996
Downloaded it but after using for less than an hour the app instantly crashes. Even after resetting and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Was okay before that
Though I love the fact I can raise tamagotchis the bug where it restarts your game and you loose all progress still exists. I figured years later it would be gone.
Love that you came out with an app.. BUT why make it a pay app of your tamagotchi dies after 7 days EVERY TIME.. I can take care of the tamagotchi perfectly and it ALWAYS DIES after 7 days!!!! Grrrrrrrr
I love this! It takes me back to a simpler time and I enjoy the wholesome fun of tamagotchi! I wish it had wear is support!!!!!
I like the ability to collect wallpapers, shells and of course care for the virtual tamagotchi, fun app.
It's really good except why does it always die after 7 days it makes no sense I used to get like 20 to 25 days out of them as a kid fix that and you get 5 stars from me
I had these as a kid! It's exactly the same! Ain't no ps4, lol but still love it! Though, no shortcut on phone??? Help?!
I am editing my previous review. I think the comments on no mater how you take care of it your always going to get the same one in the end.... which really is a huge let down.
Love this app the tamagotchi is so like the real one I knew cause I have A few I mean the notifacation is sometimes silent,late,or none existence but it was still totally worth it .

Has a Classic mode with a collection of the original shells, and black and white LCD screen like the toys. It also contains an accurate simulation of the original toy. On top of that, if you hit the magnifying glass, you get a full color mode with changeable wallpaper, and easier controls. I can just press the feed button, instead of pressing left button a few times to select, and middle to confirm selection.
