I use the app to read the Tampa Bay Times 6x per week. (I still read the paper version on Sun) it works well and I have no problems flipping through the screens and selecting the articles I want to read. The only thing I miss are the comics. They are too small to read on my phone and there is not a good way to enlarge them.

Nice app, a bit jumpy at displaying info, sometimes the display stays blurry and sometimes doesn't stay in expanded (enlarged type). You can link to the continuation of a story and jump back easily when reading it like an in person newspaper, a nice feature. You can choose to see the whole story in text format. Features to jump ahead by a whole section is nice, although sometimes does this by itself. I'm becoming used to reading the newspaper on a tablet but i still prefer holding a real paper.

I've come to enjoy reading the paper on my phone. I like that when reading an article I don't have to flip pages to finish or wait until I get to the page where continues. But the photos are not always captioned correctly, and there's sometimes errors with the way articles show up repeatedly making it hard to get to the next article. I also wish I could enlarge the picture to see it bigger than it shows up on my phone.

Sometimes skips pages, articles overlap on top of each other once in a while. Goes blank when enlarging sometimes. Doesn't always stay centered. So it has some glitches. It does work fine about 65- 75% of the time. Would be ok if they fix these. Needs to be more interactive for the puzzles so you can do them if you don't get the Sunday paper to get the printed section with the weekly ones

It appears that I have company in regard to problems with the Times app. The app abruptly closes, or out of the blue says, 'You are not viewing the latest available edition, would you like to load it now?'. It is challenging enough to read the day's paper, but heaven help me when I also try to read a missed previous edition.. These days, time and patience is required to enjoy(?) the Times. Making the app more user-friendly, and less crash-prone, would make Many readers happy!

This app has provided a very convenient way for me to receive and read the Tampa Bay Times. Because I travel frequently, I don't have newspapers accumulating at my home and can read the days news on the go. Other conveniences include the ability to electronically share articles with friend & family and the convenience of being able to review back issues, and the ability to enlarge print if needed.

A disappointing trip back to early Internet technology via the web. The app is sloppy both in design as well as execution. It will jump about without reasonable explanation and it is very slow in bringing text and graphics into focus. The text view of articles contain errors in spacing and presentation. The newspaper is good, but the app is disappointing at best.

never late and never wet. honestly, l like 👍 the transition to e-paper better. because of choice of and when I read it. oh by the way, no more ink finger tips, recycle the paper bundles. Keep up with 👍 reporting. Also, this paper gives both sides of any discussion. That's healthy. As always, there are some things that need addressed. dropped reception, discounts for veterans, seniors and folks with disabilities.

Overall a great app. I travel a lot and this does a great job keeping me up with home. Sometimes article format gets jumbled and entire sentences get put in the wrong paragraph but it is so obvious that I can figure out where they belong! Still a great app. Happy to have it in this complicated time. Keep up the good work!

UPDATE: The October 2020 update was a tremedous improvement!!! Virtually all of the awful behavior has been corrected. Raising from 2 to 4 stars. -------- This app is awful. Broken links, finicky pan and zoom behavior, insists on loading a "new addition" every time you exit for a second and does it anyway even if you hit cancel. I could go on! If you're not going to offer 7 day delivery you HAVE to do better with the reader app. A simple PDF reader works better than this does!

I paid for a digital subscription, yet I'm not able to click links to TBT articles from anywhere other than the digital paper app. I save my passwords so I should only have to login once to pass the paywall, not every single time I want to read something you've posted, just because I came in through another app. I'm considering cancelling due to the inconvenience. It was less frustrating to just ignore the Times entirely than to wrongly expect to be able to read articles I've subscribed to.

I am a news junkie. I love my Tampa Bay Times and it is a great newspaper whether it's on paper or digital. I read the paper on my Android phone. They've done a good job of digitizing and they're taking more and more advantage of the medium to give me things they couldn't afford to do on paper - more pictures, more depth, more comics. If you're a news junkie who's too pure for digital, you need to get over it! We need the Times now more than ever.

Lots of issues with it. Been using it on a Chromebook for a year or more. Sometimes it displays fine on the entire screen other times it will open and only display on half the screen other times it will only display on a quarter of the screen. Have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. All other apps display just fine. It is a piece of sh**!

For the most part, like using the app. Sometimes I have trouble finding the comics and obituaries. I also can lose my place if I leave the site for awhile. I also used to put the sections aside that I have not read yet so I could get to them another day but now I get lost if I don't finish the paper that day. It's nice to be able to read the paper anytime anywhere on my phone.

I am a daily reader of the TBTimes and have been resustated by the E-edition when paper copies dropped to two days a week. I've read the paper every day for so many years, I was gasping for news when I heard about the change. While I don't like it as much as the paper copies, it is certainly better than none at all. (My tablet is a lot harder to hold and my phone is just too small.)

Just about the worst app ever, which is sad considering what a great paper the TBT is. What's worse is, I'm paying for all this frustration. It cuts out. Don't go away from the page, or you'll have to start over. Many times you will have to start over for no reason. I rarely, if ever, give a poor review for anything, but this app needs to either be overhauled or scrapped. It would be interesting to see a response from the publisher of the paper regarding this.

This app is better than nothing. But it is very difficult to use. I struggle thru it each morning even when it closes, won't enlarge an article, and sometimes just goes blank. I expected much better and really enjoy getting a hard copy on Wednesday and Sunday so I don't have to fight this app.

Ant. A. Feb 21, 2021

I enjoy that the newspaper appears as it would be in print and that there is the option to either zoom in to read an article or click on an article to read it just in plain text. Very well done. No gliches so far and I have been using the app for about a year now.

i love reading the paper, but it is expensive for the limited number of stories in it versus vehicle and hearing aid ads. The electronic version is a good compromise. I just wish it functioned properly each time I used it.

Too many times I have trouble reading articles. This morning was one of those days. Page 2 did not open when I selected the copy. The only way I could read it was to enlarge the page. I never have problems reading the New York Times on line, and that newspaper is much more involved.

Jan. N. Oct 19, 2020

I didn't think I was going to like this, but I do. Occasionally when it's reading me an article it jumps to the bottom of the article missing half of it. I do wish all of the ads would be in. I know these are hard times for you especially as it is for everyone. Thanks

Although I am partial to the real printed newspaper, I must say I love being able to read the newspaper conveniently on my phone or computer. The digital tools makes it easy to move from one part of the story to the next part. I also like less waste from the digital version.

The paper is generally good, and often carries outstanding content. The app is a bit clunky, but works. Seems to be the same app for phone or tablet, better experience with larger screens.

Ali. L. Feb 23, 2021

I love the convenience and keeping the environment cleaner. I get enough newsprint to recycle for home use but it is truly easier to follow through each article without looking through other sections to to get to the end.

Lou. G. May 22, 2020

Absolutely horrible as not have been able to get a digital newspaper though had my subscription for almost a year. And if received on my phone--look at the size of this print! Certainly not fair to a Viet Nam Vet, when I contracted FOR AN ACTUAL NEWSPAPER! To break that contract without my concurrence, would be the same as me leaving to be a Deserter, instead fulfilling MY CONTRACT with 24 years of DECORATED SERVICE! When I try to get the daily digital paper- I get 2016 Headlines and News! Not user friendly at all!

The app is glitchy. The page often freezes and the only way to fix it is to close and relaunch the app. Zooming in often triggers app freeze. Photos are grainy if expanded. Charts and graphs are often jumbled.
