I just uninstalled the app. While the articles are (mostly) well written, I don't see much point in installing an app, when the RSS feed gives you as much. Why I actually installed the app: to report delivery problems and manage subscription payments. If both could be done, it's still not worth the space on my phone. The app has a very pretty interface. It seems to provide access to few news stories, and it constantly requires (and rejects) my password. Overall, not worth the bother.

I'm a TBT subscriber & only get the paper on wed & sun ( not at my request TBT made that change). Thought I could get my news on the rest of the days w/the app. It was fine until the latest update. Problems with share options. Have emailed, called, used chat. No one has heard of this problem. They only rec uninstall/reinstall. That doesn't work. No one responds. Customer service is pathetic. We've had our subscription for decades since it was the Tampa Tribune. Considering cancellation.

Terrible. Hate the split screen and way page will not recover if you expand it to look at something carefully. It wasn't bad before changes but so difficult to use now that I doubt I will renew my subscription when current one expires. A shame because it's a good newspaper but the app to read it from has destroyed it.

Ability to get news from my hometown is wonderful. I don't have to ask family to save articles anymore. This newspaper wins awards for journalism & reporting. The Sunday edition has a feature article, or series with a multi-issue story running that many are awarded multiple times over for it's integrity, honesty & high quality. I moved to the West Coast & no newspaper out here even comes close to the TBT (formerly St. Petersburg Times).

There is no obvious way in the app or webpage to create an account. Do you not want money? It limits you to 5 articles and then tells you to login. I want a subscription, or at least I think it's called a subscription or account or login who knows because I can't find the page. If you Google tbt account it brings you to a subscriber login page. Just found a tiny subscribe button at the bottom of the webpage. Maybe I'll find it in the app some months down the road...

This app reflects the quality of the newspaper it represents. I've been getting this newspaper for over 30 years. It's won plenty of Pulitzer prizes and is just great reporting. In an age when nobody is interested in local newspapers anymore, Tampa Bay has got a treasure. Recommend this app to anyone who wants fair and neutral quality local and national news.

The paper is excellent but the app is clumsy. Takes forever to load. Can't save or print articles. Difficult to transition between pages and articles.

Would prefer that the app remained logged in when reopening it. It's annoying to have to log in each time or get the reminder of how many free articles are left.

Automatically logs out on a regular basis making your paid subscription useless unless you know your password offhand. Not a great experience. Update may 23, 2022 The app still logs you out weekly and in still throwing away money for an e-subscription I can't read.

This is an excellent app. Very well designed. For example if you're reading it and you're on page 13 and you get a phone call and you switch over to the phone call. When you come back to this app it marks your place where you were at last.

frustrated, as subscriber my log in info is requested and then rejected multiple times daily. what nonsense!! customer service resolved issue 5/9 but it resumed today 5/19. this is a frustrating issue 😠😒 7/27/2021.. Hard to imagine app could have gotten worse but it has. I have paid subscription yet denied access after reading 10 articles on digital unless I sign in again daily. CS no help.

There is no way to log in, as it always says wrong log in or password. No way to reset. No way to make contact to get assistance either. I paid for one year subscription. This is a rip off. NO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY, CREDIT CARD, OR SUBSCRIBE!

The app does not allow for easy access to news by locality, or other articles in the actual print edition. You only see top articles by category. Do better TBT.

Pretty good app - nice and smooth. Two complaints: 1) There's no search feature?? 2) Needs a night mode (or support Android 10's native night mode)

Any app which doesn't allow you to see the password you typed or to easily retrieve/change your password is, by definition, an inferior app.

A good way to view the headlines, but I wish the app offered links to the TBT entertainment features -- funnies, puzzles, advice columns, etc.

I paid for an annual subscription to use the app. But not only does it not remember my login and password, it logs me out about once per week, so I need to go to my laptop again to redo the login.

App is way too touchy push it a little bit the wrong way screen goes blank will not come back on have to start over again try to expand screen lose whole screen drives me crazy someday

The new format is very difficult to navigate. I want to read the regular paper version starting with the front page that used to come up before you changed the app. How do I get there?

Cannot open this app. Tried to get it changed from ebook and it won't do that either, even when reinstalled. A bust!! Would give it a 0 if it let me.

The app refuses to recognize my username and password for my local paper (Hernando). Therefore I can not access the news I most want to read!

Used to work, but now almost a week of a screen with the Tampa Bay Times logo but nothing loads after hours. Worthless at this point.

1st you download the app and then after a period of time you have to subscribe then if you don't and uninstall the ads keep coming up and won't leave you alone how do I get this crapp off my phone

Embarrassingly bad. Horrible authentication process. Doesn't remember anything and gets lost so correct info is rejected.

Seems instead of removing this app you're letting it die on the vine. It's a should be taken down so people don't waste their time with it.

It quickly blocks reading any stories unless you buy a subscription. Very deceptive to call this a free app.

Doesn't give you full access to the news like other apps. I guess the advertising dollars aren't enough to keep them afloat?

It's not opening up. It just is stuck on the logo screen. Please help. Otherwise I love the paper.

The new format is terrible. There is no news, only sports. I have uninstalled it.
