The search button can't work properly when looking up for kanji and words. I can't see all of the explanation of the words when the sentences explanation is long. The apps is great if the search button works and we can see all the full explanation of the words/kanji because many got cut off.
For months now, the app can't search for words anymore. Used to work so fast and reliably but now it's completely unusable. Will change to 5 stars when fixed.
The name category is still missing. Searches work almost never. This has been happening for a long time now. The site has trouble working too since it started showing ads.
This app used to be good, but recently, you can't even search with it. The website is also problematic, being slow or not functioning for "names" search.
Loved the app but it's many months it stopped working. Search doesn't work. Page change doesn't work. I wish I could rollback...
This app has many more example sentences than other J-E dictionary apps. That's one huge feature and reason I often use this app and highly recommend it.
Echoing the other negative reviews, the app is literally not usable. I can't even type anything into the search field.
Returned no results too many times for me. I figured I might as well use Chrome.
Very reliable and does the job quite well
Useful, easy and simple to use!
I think the devs do not care bout the app anymore. Last update on 2014? Such a shame coz it was a good app
It didn't even work. At all. Literally nothing happened.
Just want square icon, please update😅
You can't even look up anything, whats the use of this app 😬
needs history of searches
Please update the app!
AYO! UPDATE THE APP 🗣📢
I don't know how to say, but this is a good app with good quality from free app like this, and you can't find some apps like this on out there. The first things that is great about this app is, offline. We know that in 2017, Internet almost on everything is required, but not everyone have a full 24 hours access of internet, so without data package this is good app. P.S: I love the UI.
The app's alright, but for the storage space it takes up, it should be and could be A LOT better. The website version searches words a lot better than the app. The thing it could improve on the most are the example sentences. especially on the website. They're very long and complex. They should be short, simple, and use the word being searched effectively. I know it'll be a lot of work but please fix those example sentences. Some of them are horrible!
This app is very helpful. But, there are some bugs, including: - keyboard being closed and opened by its own will when you tap on search bar. - endless detailed info about kanji if you tap on kanji while looking at a full word. Also, it'd be amazing if you added search by a radical and kanji favorites list (I see the star icon but cannot see the favs tab and whatnot). Overall, this is a nice and stable app. Thank you.
The best dictionary app for Android. Interface is very clean and easy to use, also examples are very helpful and I like the ability to expand every word and sentence. This little app can replace your big and bulky 電子辞書.
The app doesn't work I don't know for maybe a year. It crashes all the time, although the website works just fine. I'm frustrated, it was the best Japanese dictionary app for certain. What a shame.
Romaji transliteration of words, meanings AND sentences in Grey makes life easy for those learning the scripts. Going paid totally worth it!
Mostly using for example sentences, but didn't realize it also shows kanji radicals.
Although I bought this on launch because I love the website so much, and want to support it. Hope this app improves to become almost as useful as the website.
I've tried them all. When it comes to having all the conjugations quick and easy to access this one takes the cake.
Doesn't work as expected. The Android standard for back button at the top level is to exit the app. If every app reinvented the way to exit apps, the whole Android ecosystem would be a mess. At least have a toggle switch to allow standard behavior.
