Tank Check
This application is designed to be used with the Mopeka TankCheck sensor. The Tank Check application can measure the LPG propane level to tell you the exact fill level and when your tank is empty. It can be used on tanks found in RVs, heaters, BBQ grills, etc. The Tank Check sensors are magnetically stuck to the bottom of your propane tank and will periodically measure and wirelessly send the fill level or percentage to the Tank Check app. Stick it on the bottom of your tank and know exactly when you are running low on propane! This technology is patent pending.
Usage:1. To pair your Tank Check sensor to the phone, simply press the "Sync" button on the back of the sensor while the app's main screen is visible. The first time you use your Tank Check sensor you must press the "Sync" button 5 times in a row in order to wake up the sensor. 2. Place the Tank Check sensor in the center of the underside of the tank. Most tanks have a small "flat" spot on the center and this is the nominal location for the sensor.3. Flip the tank over. Once the fluid has settled the app will display a reading. Note that the LPG fluid will be sloshing around in the tank for a few minutes and the quality of the measurements will be low until this has stabilized.

This is the second time I have used this app. I sold the trailer that had the first set. I had an issue with one of the previously deleted sensors popping back up after deletion but after following the developer's advice below, I have changed my review to 5 stars. these are very accurate. I have never had the issue people talk about with the magnets or sensor sticking to the tank. And I actually like the rubber feet better than the aluminum ones referenced in some posts.
Most impressed. I put a standard sensor on the propane tank in my motorhome five years ago and it still works well. Sensor Battery (coin type) lasts about 8-9 months and is easy to change. The adjustable low level alert on the app is most useful. Far more accurate than a pressure gauge or colour change sticker, just remember to take it off the empty cylinder when you exchange it!
The app and device works so far. I have two complaints. One: the app really wants you to register and I have no desire to do that. Exit and restart to get past registration. Two: the instructions are *too wordy* and not straightforward. They can be simplified to this: a) sync the app and device by pressing the activate button on the device 7 to 10 times, b) clean bottom of tank, c) put a pea-sized dab of grease between the magnets on the device, d) place device on bottom of tank. Done.
This is great tool for not having to guess whether you have enough propane to heat and shower ect. No more midnight tank switches.The sensors are also worth the money just to sabe gas if you develop a slow leak. Works great for me!

Awesome! Easy install, easy to sync, works great! It picks up a signal over 150 away. People who say they don't work probably didn't follow instructions or think they could skip them.
Why does this app require a data connection to work when it's simply using Bluetooth to read sensors? This never use to be an issue until recent updates. Everyone I know that uses this uses it ok their RV IN THE WOODS CRAMPING.. with NO DATA CONNECTION. Absolutely no reason this should require cell service to work.
Works as it should. Use it on 2 tanks in 5th wheel and 2 tanks on barbecue and fire attraction.
Works great! You have to use the grease they recommended on the sensors especially when colder or they don't make contact. What the Mopeka sensors do versus the percentage gauge on my 500 gallon tank is in cold weather climate like where a live in north central Montana where been down to -42.1 below is gives you what is actually left that you can use in that temperature range where the % guage shows how many gallons left in tank but it's not useable cuz it's to cold.
Works pretty darned good... have a minor problem now and then, but mostly does exactly what it's supposed to do! That's keep you from GUESSING what's in your RV's Propane Tanks when you're on a long trip and need to know your status - especially during cold weather camping up here in the Northeastern US!
Worked reasonably well until most recent update. Now app will not open. Tech support contacted but still not working. 03.06.21 Tech support must have worked their wizardry because phone app is working again! Had to re-sync sensors.
The app only displays metric measurements for tank size (Kg). Looked at the help file (shows lbs) and no way to change from Kg to lbs. Have two sensors and only one works.
Updated: the alerts can not be turned off in the app. As soon as you disable them and close the app, they turn themselves back on.
Sensor problem. I thought this was going to be amazing but they don't work. I used the grease it came with but one sensor reads zero% on a full tank, empty tank and half used tank. Second sensor reads 60% on full tank, half used tank, and empty tank. I guess I'm returning this stuff.
Have had mine for about 18 months. They work great I have filled my LP tanks twice and the readings have been pretty close. Just changed the sensor batteries for the first time. May have to buy another set for my grill tanks..
Android app doesn't work most of the time. Sensors don't connect to the smart phone, even with new batteries.
app works, product support does not. first tank change sensor stuck to tank when taking unit off tank, wires broke. contacted support and they were quick to say they would replace unit. 6 months plus later and no replacement. tried weekly to get a response, none.
Sensors sync'd up was as advertised. Very disappointed with NO APP available. Have to keep going to play store to get information.
1/30/22: Battery is significantly affected by cold. Changing the battery is a PAIN & tears up your sensor. Terrible design! Sensor & app regularly do not sync. Bluetooth shows zero signal. Getting more disappointed with this purchase as time goes on. 1/3/22: Would only find signal via one device. Does not accurately show 20 or 30 lb bottles & the "arbitrary" option for larger bottles shows as poor quality & doesn't register anything. May be returning this rather than buying two more as planned.
