➤ PRICE PROTECTION FOR MONTHS You can lock in gas prices weeks, months, and/or a year ahead. Purchase gallons now to be used through fall 2017.
➤ NATIONWIDE COVERAGETankWallet covers about 20,000 gas stations nationwide, including both big chains (ARCO, Shell, Costco, etc.) and small, local businesses. New gas stations are added daily based on user requests.

2. Later, when you fill up at that gas station, the price has gone up to $3/gallon. You still need to pay the gas station $30 for your 10-gallon fill-up, but we’ll reimburse you that $30 instantly. 2. How do you know if I really filled up?Simply put
- we don’t. We track live gas prices, so you are always reimbursed based on the price at the pump at any given time. You can choose to be reimbursed before filling up, after filling up, or even by not filling up at all! Some people use TankWallet to make money, similar to the stock market. They lock in low prices and get reimbursed when the price is high.

Well I am waiting on over 400.00 from them between may and july. Contacted them many times have not heard back. 8/26 still waiting on payment or even them to contact me 3/18 still waiting on payment. Have turned the case over to the attorney general for my state.
It's great but sadly a lot of the gas prices are marked up more than the gas station's current offering. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be or a miscalculation on their part.
There was no gas stations near the area I was moving to, or the area I currently live in. As a soon to be college student, saving on gas would be heavenly. But I contacted them and they asked where I was located, a day later they have all kinds of available pumps in the area. Best app service.
Sooo what happens if the gas price drops below the reserved price? Kinda seems like a rip off if I prepaid for $3.20 a gallon, but it drops to $2.80 the next week...

The app says it can't find any gas stations near me and shows gas stations near antelope CA, when I live in Oregon
downloaded this two weeks ago, forgot i had it till last friday when the tank wallet ppl sent an email letting me know the gas price was gonna go up in L.A., locked in $25 friday night and saturday the price jumped up 30 cents! prolly shoulda bought more but I really appreciate the heads up!\
Updated: great now i can redeem without keeping receipts, thanks! (Old review: I paid cash at the gas station and forgot to grab a receipt and now I can't redeem :( I know that's on me but it seems pretty inconvenient...)

I drive for DoorDash and found out about this app after making a delivery to people working on it. They told me about it after finding out how much time I spent driving for my job, so I checked it out. And I'm impressed! It's a great new option to have out here. Very cool new product. I used this to buy a voucher for 20 bucks to see how it works... topped off my car and uploaded the receipt for what I paid at the pump... didn't notice the reimbursement was one cent off until tank wallet folks contacted me about the error and gave me a free gallon of gas for the mistake!!! for one penny!!!
I was surprised at how fast the money from the voucher got transferred to my account! It hink they said it takes 2 business days but i redeemedt his morning and the money was in my account a few hrs later. 5 stars for a nice surprize :)
