Tao Te Ching

I think that a daily passage/teaching should be sent out to ponder on. The app is clear and crisp and could benefit from swiping left or right to move back and forth through the chapters. Maybe a search function also, where the reader can enter a topic and the app provides chapters to go to and those suggestions are active links to take the reader there?

This is one of the best free translations I've found for phone app, I use it alongside other translations because of its ease of comprehension and clarity, and I also feel it provides more up-to-date perspectives on many passages. I fondly refer to it as the Green Book translation because of the icon. "Hmm, let's see what the Green Book says."

After comparing many other English editions of the Tao Te Ching, this one in particular has had a most profound balance of keeping sense of the original tongue's idiosyncracies and diction whilst still conveying the substance of the Tao in English which is poignant and conducive to it's interpretation. There are a few spelling errors (mainly omissions of letters) throughout; however none of them detract from the overall legibility. One complaint I do have is on my device, any time I switch to a new chapter it copies the text to my clipboard/clip tray automatically. This clogs up my cached miscellaneous data but not much else. Overall still a phenomenal translation and experience well worth 5 stars.

The app doesnt have any intrusive ads or annoying IAP. But the translation is terrible. It actually looks like they used google translate. The interface is nice and easy to understand but please revamp the translation i couldnt get past chapter 10 where it didn't even sound like the same thing as the original chapter 10.

Great app and easy to use, but many typos are distracting. Maybe run through and edit up the text when you get the chance for an update! Otherwise, great!

Great app easy to navigate. The only problem is if I want to copy and paste just a passage, it automatically copies the entire chapter. Not sure what's up with that...

Translation is pretty bad. Not enough time taken to rewrite the text. Other than that, the message is abundantly clear. Good read for certain.

I love it! However, there are many typos/spelling errors that trip me up while reading. As others have stated, a daily or random passage would be much appreciated

Pressing back causes ads to show instead of going back, can't exit unless I press phone home button. This is an advertisment reader sullying the good word of tao. What a disappointment.

I love reading Lau Tzu's teachings, they bring peace to my mind and heart. This specific app is wonderful it keeps me in the spot where I leave off, the ads aren't annoying, and it comes with a daily Lau Tzu teaching seperate. Thank you!

Amazing I could get this text for free. It is the bare bones straight up version of the Tao Te Ching. Not a commentary, not an analysis, original text. Most insightful. Wisdom like this is invaluable.

Nice chapter by chapter display and bookmarking. Some misspelling and grammar issues but can usually infer the correct word or sentence structure.

I have many versions of the Tao te ching. This is easy reading. However I still have to compare with many versions to grasp the common understanding.

I own the tao the Ching book myself with a commentary but I have never made it past three chapters and so I am on 17 on yours and it is really good translation
