Neato! Edit: I've had more time with the game, so I thought I'd make a more substantial review of it. It's really well made. The graphics are pretty, with some really good pixel art and animations. The game itself never feels boring, because of the variety of things available to do at all times. Character/spells progression is top-notch. There is some amount of grind to perform, but it's been really well balanced overall, and I never feel like I'm being forced to spend money to progress.👍

The game is lacking objectives (achievements or quests). The menu is a complete mess. Graphics and musics are good tho. About gameplay, the spells are a mess too, no clear explanations. You kill the same enemies in the same level again and again. You don't see any progress.

I don't understand why people would give this such bad reviews. I absolutely love it. Sure nothing's perfect and there are improvements the can be made. The gameplay is simple. Sort of an idle game but to fully enjoy it you really need to actually play it. I enjoy it while doing the exercise bike. No forced ads which is great. I've watched an ad once myself in 3 months of play. I think double spells should be able to be sold or refined some how. That's really my only major complaint.

This game has a few regressions on the original version, unfortunately, at least in the UI. I can't see mage health, can't find an option for it. There's the coloured bar, but I want to be able to time using my healing runes, that's something you used to be able to do as you could see the percentage as a number but can't anymore. The constant annoying reminder that you should be ever always spending money as the icon underneath the little stats box in the top right. You already have a link to the shop in the bottom right, stop that or let me clear it from the screen. You've lost a lot of usability for the academy here. Originally there would be different colours for being able to start new research, research can be finished with gold, research is finished, and combinations thereof. Now there's an exclamation mark if something is there. Similarly, it's nowhere near as clear to see if you can use gold to finish a research early anymore as the box doesn't change colour. And I'd love to see which of those researches are cheaper, but one costs 10M gold to finish, and then the next one costs 35 minutes. These numbers don't need rotating, you need to have both on screen at all time. All in all, a lot of small frustrations caused by a UI regression for the sake of making it pretty instead of functional.

overall best idle game I've played. i have some minor issues with difficulty curve at times, some enemies being a lot stronger than i think they should, and it feels like the rewards from the gauntlet (challenge dungeon) aren't worth the effort, but overall, a fun game with a lot of content that doesn't demand you play it on a fixed schedule like many others. i do wish a little more progress could be made while the game is off, but if you have a few minutes of down time, you can play this game.

Excellent game, with great graphics and music. I've had this game for a few months now and it's clear that the developer has put in a lot of thought into balancing the game. Each spell has certain uses, lots of spells synergize with each other, and every enemy has their own quirks so some spells are more useful in certain situations. There's a constant feeling of progression due to the Recall mechanic, and the Enchantment, Meditation, and NG+ systems offer further flavours of progression.

A great idle game because you don't have to play idly. I've only been playing for a week, but so far the mechanics have stayed interesting. As you progress you unlock new features that keep it fresh and random chance makes sure you never have the same run twice. It has the freedom that other idle games lack without falling apart at the seams. And huge points for no invasive ads. All in all I'd say it's the best idle game I've played.

EDIT Thank you for the reply, and your interest in fixing the issue! Previous rating: I'd give 5 stars but the purchase icon keeps duplicating with a larger one under the smaller. It's annoying, and feels like a trap. Especially since things to collect wander over to under it, causing me to click it multiple times and disrupt my game. Can't see myself spending money on a game that feela like it's trying to trick you to go into the shop. Otherwise, fun idle game.

This game is an abnormal kind of idle game, it has precise graphics and easy gameplay, some "rare" upgrades may take up to a week to finish upgrading, but having constant good updates and bug fixes is what makes this game unique. For about 1 year or less, I have never needed to purchase anything from the store, meaning that the creator is not creating this game for a quick cash grab. Very underrated game indeed.

Tap Wizard is a great game. The music is reminiscent of classic NES games, the graphics are colourful and eye catching, and the gameplay is immersive enough for an "idle" game to actually play without being bored 5 minutes in. That being said, the zones can plateau for a while, which can be daunting. Tap Wizard seems to lean more towards an active play style, rather than a passive one; however, the AFK aspect is still apparent. I'm impressed, well worth checking out! Edit: 5 stars given

So many in-depth personal controls here. I've sadly lost the ability to use the ads too help with upgrades. Not sure what happened, now if i use the ad i lose all contents in the chest. Not really a big deal but kind threw me a curve ball. Over all this is really neat. Be sure as a player to check out that settings menu and load out info. Very cool.

While a solid and well balanced idle game, I just can't bring myself to recommend it. I was never able to get the offers to work for premium currency, and I don't know if there was a recent update or if I just reached a certain progression through the game, I am now being pushed to spend more real money multiple times per play session, this is after spending a total of 35 dollars to support the developer, remove ads, and to acquire some fun quality of life advantages. It has just become too pushy for my taste.

Well thought out idle game. Active players are well rewarded. There are too many in game purchase options though, but 10 bucks for no ads was totally worth it. I want to add that I'm still playing 80hrs later. This games does not require internet constantly to play which is awesome. this is literally the only game I can play at work. The only request I have so far is this; please add the ability to form custom spells through combinations and something for us to do other than just swipe at runes.

Very fun and addictive. I have some complaints though. All the extras are too damn expensive. Just to get skins takes weeks of grinding or money. Even playing actively things will take a long, long time. If youre not addicted to the grind then skip this one. If you like grinding to level up cool spells then this one might be for you. Just be prepared to dump some cash if you want the cool stuff. Would be 5 stars if not for the fact of things taking too much grinding. We should be rewarded for it

A very well made game, with nice graphics and a smooth combat style. It takes a bit to learn everything, but once you do, everything is pretty simple. The only criticism i have is the amount of time it takes to make much progress. I had this game for about two months, and never got past zone 1 of the dark realm. It might have been user error, but the game just got repetitive after a while. Overall, a pretty decent game.

It's alright game. Can keep you really busy that you can keep clicking nonstop for hours. it seems to be some balancing issues that when i play to around level 27, the amount needed to collect for enhance or research seems very high. Maybe it is a subtle way for the developer to say it is time to pay to get some items to speed it up?

Que. Z. Mar 12, 2019

Ultimately I lost interest in the game when I stopped receiving rewards for completing offers for premium currency. I tried contacting the reward company, and only received an automated response and the developer did not reply to my query on reddit. Aside from that I'd say this is one of the better incremental games. The art is good, the gameplay has depth without being overwhelmingly complex or too simple and the replay value is engaging. has a fair balance between active and idle play.

Basically in my opinion, and it not just you, it almost every game now a days, games have forgotten that it is called a micro transaction. They want to charge the price I would pay to buy a full console game to get a few quick use in game items. Returning to the micro transaction prices for these in game items, I believe you would see a much higher purchases rate an probably higher revenues from it. However that is just my humble opinion.

Edit: Apparently there's a setting for spell transparency which fixes my issue with the game. Only issue with the game is there can be a lot going on on the screen which can make it hard to see and pickup some power ups. Other than that it's pretty good so far.

Epic song, probably the best idle game I played (the only one that I still play after a week, technically 6 months). But I would like the option of not skipping a bunch of levels every time I Recall and would love it there was a "metal version" of the song (would be willing to pay to ba able to use it)

Eli. R. Nov 27, 2018

Cooldown and cast speed... these are the same thing right? None of the spells actually take any time to cast so I can't imagine the two are different. The issue is, though, that some bluffs or researches multiply your cast speed by more than 1 meaning it actually takes longer to recast which drops your damage drastically... I dont think this was intended. Please fix?

Rya. E. Dec 12, 2021

All the in game purchases cost way too much. Takes ridiculously long to get new spells without paying. Constantly trying to get you to view ads or click to open the store, etc. Just feels like it's more of an attempt to soak me for money than an actual game. Two stars because the gameplay itself was kinda fun.

This is one of the best idle games i tried so far. Graphics are good, gameplay is engaging. Reasonable amount of tapping. Way to specialize your mage(fire/frost/ligthning schools with unique spells in each). Multiple ways to make yourself more powerfull(raids, research, prestige and other things i havent unlocked yet). Truly optional ingame shop. Uncapped offline progression which can be 2x'ed with an ad. Ads are not intrusive. Well optimised - game runs flawlessly on my 512mb ram old phone.
