I really like the beautiful procedural wallpapers. And I have purchased the premium version. However the recent update is a step back on several points 😟 - wallpaper automatic change is often not working anymore and I need to open the app and change manually - option to auto like when applying the wallpapers is gone - option to fine tune with a slider the probability for a pattern to appear is gone - several patterns have been removed - all my liked wallpapers from previous version are gone

Just noticed the entire app was overhauled on my Pixel today and I must absolutely say, this is FANTASTIC and I LOVE IT. So much. Huge kudos for the redesign and everything! It's so beautiful. That said while I will give it the 5 star rating it deserves just for the sheer artfulness of this app, I will state a few words more on the update: Unless it's not completely obvious here, there's no auto-save. Is there? Hard to say. Specific pattern repeats: this used to be a slide interval for each pattern, however this too has changed, and it's not clear if that's a feature still. That said I noticed that some patterns are history now, which many of them I did not quite like to begin with. I do like that you can drill down on each pattern and see variations, so that'll do. I must say the color picker is a little confusing. After you have set your specific colors and tell it you want ONLY those colors you've chosen, when you back out of that feature setting, it does revert to the default color picker screen and that does throw things off a bit. That said I've not seen my chosen color palettes stray on the patterns that have come up so I will leave it there. Lastly, this may be a device thing more than anything but the path to save generated patterns doesn't seem to stick, at least if you're trying to save it to a custom folder. I still however say that unless the auto-save feature is now default for the app, I would still miss the feature all the same as there's no setting for it at all. UPDATE: Beat me to it. Auto Save is back. Thank you much for bringing it back!

Does not work as expected. I regret paying for this app. The main problem is that when I open the app and pick a wallpaper, it does not show the modifications that I am applying to it. For example, there is no way to tell what the blur effect will look like until I actually set it as my wallpaper; also, when I am in the app working to tweak a wallpaper, it changes pattern without notice. Considering that this is an expensive app (relative to the Google play store), I'm very disappointed.

UPDATE: Changed my rating from 5 stars to 1. The most recent update erased all of my custom colors and backgrounds. Even the backup folder was gone. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the most fantastic app for wallpapers. The best is that it saves your settings and favorited wallpapers so that when switching to a new phone, they all are still there. Another really great feature is the level of customization. I hope they keep adding more and more patterns. I really love this app!

It's nice and I particularly like the possibility to lock it to specific palettes of colors of my choosing. My only gripe is that with my Fold 3 it only changes the wallpaper of the screen where I started the app and not the other one. In my case I started the app on the internal display and didn't go on the outer. I tested it the other way around and did the same thing.

The latest update is garbage, all presets are gone, the amount of patterns are way less, most of my faves are missing, it is harder to use (settings spread out). I paid for the upgraded version of what I had not this garbage. I see the developer saying they rewrote the app and things will get better but that is BS. I paid for what was there not this experiment; if they want to improve it fine but don't go backwards. Also the color preference seems to be broken, or 100% worse if WAI; I turn red..

The app works very well without any bugs or issues. However, the gesture feature is terrible and difficult to use. I change my wallpaper once in two weeks and I get confused about the gestures always! I have missed soo many good patterns and colours while trying to generate a new pattern or colour for it. Maybe you should put buttons for generating new designs rather than swipe gestures. It'll also be great if you could implement a feature which keeps a history of our used wallpapers

I want to get Premium as soon as I can. I didn't think Tapet would get revived, but here we are, and I gotta say, the options and colors are more gorgeous now. I would love to see more patterns inspired by the old versions as well. I love wallpapers, this was one of my favorite apps, and now I have it back on my phone. Props to the devs!

They new ui is not as efficient as the old one and the missing features make this new update a 3 star. Previously it was much better. I'm missing the own photos as wallpapers, and also that you could make color pallets out of unlimited colors and not only a limited number they are now. Also the feature where it only picks from your own colors doesn't work in the new version.

I'm sorry to say that I haven't really explored all that the Tapet app has to offer. Upon installing, I clicked a random generator button and instantly fell in love with the first result! It really spoke to me. As such, I made it both my homescreen and lockscreen image and have not opened the app since. 10/10

Needs better options for adjusting the Top Overlay effects to hide the 'hole-punch' front camera. Using Top Overlay alone is not currently enough to hide the front camera but I can hide it quite well using Top Overlay in combination with Vignette, but Vignette also unnecessarily darkens other areas of the image, which is not ideal. I have the Tapet Premium license. Thanks for your consideration.

Still giving it 5*, despite the latest update mercilessly deleting my custom pallettes and dozens² of favorites I've collected, simply because it's still the best WP generator for my needs & taste. The custom pallettes took a few minutes to repopulate and though not exact, they're close enough. The favourites will take a bit longer, but the new effects & patterns, as well as the improvements in the selection process(history and go back gesture) will make for a better overall experience.

Been using Tapet for years. Never had an issue and every update has only made it significantly better. I wish every app I had was as good as this. Been looking at the new update. I like some of the new patterns but one of my favorite patterns of old got cut from the new lineup, which is a shame. As long as garden and splatter stay there I'll be happy though. I think the pattern was called Tojy. It was similar to garden and splatter.

Can I just say well done. Although I do miss some features that were removed and I couldn't use my older color schemes that I backed up, this new app design is just *chef kiss*. Everything just works and it works great. Well done and thank you for this.

An amazing app, so far I've seen no glitches, it makes truly epic wallpapers! You can even use it to make wallpapers for other devices! The design is awesome, too. A masterpiece of programming. I'd give it 6/5 stars if I could!

I wish I could attach pictures of all the amazing patterns I have generated with this app. There's a tremendous feeling of satisfaction garnered from playing an active role in generating custom patterns, colors, designs, etc. I wish I had found this years ago.

It's pretty neat. A lot of good random designs that keeps things looking fresh. It makes you wonder what the next one will look like. I was thinking of buying the Premium until I saw the price. $8 for wallpapers, for a tablet that's mostly sleeping on the couch? Too rich for my blood.

Exceptional. I don't know how I came across this app but I'm certainly glad I did. The simple, elegant and eye catching design stood out. An hour after I downloaded this app I decided to but the premium version. The design is intuitive and easy to follow. However what really made me feel good about the purchase was the Dev's ability and willingness to respond to a question or two with vet sage advice. Great app and even better support. Thanks.

Best wallpaper generator from random patterns combined with thousands of colours. The newer update made the very much exciting with lot of new patterns and vibrant colours. But one thing I miss on the new update is the quick settings tile which was there on the earlier version. Please add that feature too..the quick settings tile was really helpful

Such a great app, the wallpapers generated look awesome. I wish I could buy a premium version but unfortunately the price is too much for me. Nonetheless the developer has done a commendable job to create an app like this. 👍 Keep it up.

Great app with a brilliant interface. I'd love the option to constrain colour palettes to a set brightness and/or saturation range - the current brightness and saturation effects don't offer much control.

Deleted all my favorites, reset on my preferences, removed the ability to insert other images from a folder, and my shortcuts are gone. I still like the app, I'm just not sure that this last releases an improvement.

I purchased the pro version of the app, and it has less functionality??? I can't use my photos anymore as an option? I can't place shortcuts on the home screen anymore for changing patterns and saving backgrounds like I can in the free one?? time to uninstall

Whoa, new update! Given the refresh in interface, it emphasizes how the wallpaper looks with buttons to change it overlaid. It's a bit jarring compared to last update and my palettes were cleared, but that's overcome with the new filters available! A great app for geometrically generative wallpapers!

Great app. Some more customizability would be great. For example: the 'chance' for effects, right now it's fixed at 30% and maybe some randomness in the effect strength.

Earlier we could sort the patterns alphabetically. With the new update this feature seems to be missing, atleast I could not find it. Please look into it. Otherwise the app is amazing.

Downvoting from 5 to 2 stars. Latest updates have removed widgets options which was very useful in changing wallpaper from homescren itself with just a touch. Now we have to go inside the app and search for the desire ones. Expecting widgets to be back in next updates.

I'm in love with this app. The designs and colors it generates look great and I love that you can set it to automatically generate a new wallpaper at specific intervals. It's my new favorite wallpaper app!
