Bought an almost $300 supposedly smart Christmas tree I could control with my phone. Got it all set up, connected on my phone and the app immediately ran an update to completion. The app worked the entire first evening and into the next morning. By the time I got home from work the app wouldn't connect at all, even manually pairing the Bluetooth. I've resent the control box following the troubleshooting instructions and it doesn't even reset the way it's described. This is clearly an app issue and I'm a bit shocked that Target doesn't have the developer power to effectively execute a fairly simple app. Hopefully things get properly programmed soon so that this wasn't a waste of $300.
Bought a Bluetooth connected Christmas tree (Slim Balsam Fir Smart Lit Tree). Got it all set up. Downloaded the app. Connected to the tree and was immediately told that firmware update was required. Allow for app to begin firmware update. App freezes and never completes update and forbids connection without update. Restart app... Repower Christmas tree... Nothing seems to help. Merry Christmas...in the dark.
App no longer connects to our star cloud island smart lamp. Says connecting then disconnects instantly every time I launch the app. I even tried removing the lamp from the app and it magically reappears as if I already connected it even after deleting and reinstalling the app. I have force quit the app, cleared cache and contacted technical support via chat on Target's website and they say nothing is wrong and for us to buy a new lamp. But the lamp is no longer in stock or sold online by Target.
The same people that wrote this app must have been transferred from the credit card security team after the major breach. The app over and over prompts to install updated app and never does. Hangs forever. Total abortion of code.
Not really worth all the confustion unless your doing a full shopping list. I should lay more attenchion to the deals but I feel I end up gettings things I want and dont need just because there on sale at this pt in my life. If my life was as stuctured as it was 2 year's ago then haveing the confusion of wjen or why only cetin brads or things are popping up when I search id be worth it so its all about how u shop and budget.
Dont update firmware for smart cloud island ligth. worked fine till it did firmware update on my device, now my ligth wont stop pulsating flashes. I dont mind not being able to use the app, but now my ligth is useless. I see this connects to a Christmas tree, im wondering if firmware got mixed up..
Works Great. Steps that worked; plug in Christmas Tree, turn on smart phone/devices bluetooth, Open App, Add Tree to devices that app can control. You can turn lights on/off, select color, set timers...
got a light up whale as a baby shower gift. downloaded the app and got it working quickly. next time I opened the app and it crashed. I keep trying every now and then and it still fails to launch
Not sure if it's an App problem or the 7.5 Slim Smart (NOT SO SMART) Tree. Had the same issues as another user. Pretty disappointing.
If I pick a color then tree is that color but if I want it to start fading in to all the colors there is no way to return it to that function. Target has no real Christmas tree app
This app just doesn't work anymore. It won't connect at all after 1 day of using it. Please fix!😡
Keeps failing to launch even after uninstalling and reinstalling several times.
Connected the firat time then went into an unprompt update and will not connect again with any device
My Targets stores that I like, are Everywhere! From the smallest to the Extremely large!
Can't even get it to work . I used to be able to go in and take www Target and it would open up and I could I don't understand what's going on with these appts

It never worked on my phone. It crashes just one second after opening it. What's the point of buying a bluetooth controlled Christmas tree if I can't use that functionality? If you're thinking about buying one of these "smart" trees, the choice is clear: don't waste your money. It's one week until Christmas and the app just had one update since the Christmas lights functionality was added, and it still has problems.
