Target Registry

Been using this to compile a wedding registry and have had some minor glitches with it: the filters in search don't always work and I would add items only to have them not be added. Then the categories wouldn't even populate for browsing and it has completely shut me out today. Something about being unable to retrieve it although the helpdesk says it is still active. But I can't find it on my regular Target account. Disappointed majorly.

I've had issues with adding items to the registry. It use to let me browse items in various categories but for months now I have to specifically search for items which is inconvenient but that's not even the biggest issue. Currently the entire registry won't load. When I open the app and sign in it tells me that the registry is unavailable. Since this is only the first day of this issue I'll see what happens but if it continues then I'll probably just delete the app and just use my browser.

Says "couldn't perform search" when you click on certain items/categories/filters. This has been an ongoing issue since I downloaded the app. There's no rhyme or reason to it, it just randomly won't load things. It always tells me to check my internet connection, but that's not the problem. I have really reliable wifi that I use for work and multiple devices all the time and unlimited data as well. SUPER frustrating!!!!!!

Enjoying this app so far. However, one very frustrating thing I've noticed is the app doesn't warn you when items are planning to be discontinued, or already have been discontinued, while you're browsing. It doesn't show you a notification until you've already added the item to your cart. This causes you to waste unnecessary time when you have to remove the item and start your search from square one again with no way of knowing if the item you select to replace the first is also discontinued.

Absolute work experience I've ever had doing a registry, horrendously designed app. They told us to use the app and use the phone to scan. First off, the scanner had a very hard time working. It would only work half the time, the other times I would have leave the bar code scanner and come back in for it to work. They somehow didn't add an option to manually focus the camera, so have fun fidgeting with the scanner to get it to focus. Also not evey item we wanted would work. Thx for the headache

Somehow the interface for items is better on here than on a tablet (cannot see the clothing size chosen). What is so annoying is that the search filters are useless. I have seen the product amount go up while trying to filter items (like sizing or availability). I search for my item in the normal Target app, and then go back and add it to the registry. Waste of time.

I've been using this app for several weeks for a housewarming registry. At first, it worked perfectly. Last week it began glitching, and I would get an error if I tried to use use "filter" while searching. Then the entire "browse" tab for the categories stopped working. I went to use it this morning and the entire app stopped working and it won't even let me log in. I have deleted and reinstalled the app several times.

Really terrible design. Everything is on 1 giant list instead of being separated into categories. If you have a lot of items on your registry like I do, it makes it difficult/frustrating trying to find a particular item. If you search an item the search tool will come up with a few items that match that description, but if you already have one of those items on your registry it wont tell you so you could end up with multiples of an item. Diff clothes sizes are separated instead of in 1 place ugh!

The app and the website regularly dont work. You cannot view items to add. You cannot purchase. Nothing. Online its a blank screen. The app says there is an error and try again later. Usually down for days. I'm thinking about starting an Amazon registry. When it works its great but the inconsistencies are frustrating.

At first I enjoyed being able to scan items into our registry with my phone, but soon faced problem after problem. The app seems to only sync with the actual registry on occasional items, so that items I've added and/or items that have been purchased aren't reflected. My app was reading 8 items purchased when in actuality there were over 30 items purchased. Adding items manually is also a huge pain, as it appears trying to apply more than one filter in a search is not possible. Very disappointed

Repeatedly fails to let you update your shipping address. I was moving and need to go to my registry on the website because it repeatedly failed to update my address. I had to completely close out of the app and reopen it for it to save the new address. Once it finally saved the new address, it repeatedly failed to switch shipping to a different address until I changed on the regular website. Won't load some items if you're searching through the checklist. Just tells you to try again.

App worked fine for months since I downloaded it. Within the last few days, regardless of if I'm on wifi or data, the app fails to load into the registry at all. Came to the play store to write the review, saw there was an update. Update still did nothing, the app still won't load at all. Scanning is hit and miss, it seems this app does not sync into Target's main inventory like the Circle app does.

This app is not great. Many items have been purchased off of my registry and the app still shows 0. Ease of use isn't great either. It's hard to navigate and change sizes on clothing items. You have to find the item all over again and re-add to the registry. Also, many of the items I've added are now unavailable and don't show until you go to click the item...

Good luck scanning in store! Went yesterday and the barcode scanner kept freezing up. It wouldn't focus so it wouldn't scan. There's no button to make it focus or to take the image to scan the barcode. I gave up after the 5th item and started taking pics of what I wanted. Way to frustrate me and add a step.

It constantly says it cannot search in certain checklist sections. Even more frustrating is when I click the plus button to add to the registry and it flashes and then will not add. I have exited out of the app and tried again. Still nothing. What is the point of this app if it won't let me add things?? This is a great concept if it worked.

The app totally stopped working. It doesn't update my list when people are in store or online. It does not show if things are marked as "most wanted", deleted items show up on the public list still and it doesn't show if things are bought now. The app was fine in the beginning and I loved it. Not sure what happened.

Overall ok. I don't like that when the packages arrive from target there is not paper with who it is from. Which is annoying when I am having a virtual shower and all gifts being sent to my moms house. She has to keep asking me who sent certain items since they don't always include a paper in the package. Also, has to be a way to filter out discontinued and out of stock items from being added to the registry. Its annoying going to desktop site to see if items are instock.

Got the app for my wedding and my baby registry, since the regular target app won't do it. I could never get passed adding our names and date of the event before it would say that there's no network connection. With the wifi on, with it off, with just my regular phone connection it was the same thing wherever I went to try at different times/days. Yes, I took off the app and re-download it and even restarted my phone with no success. Best to stay on the website or even going in person.

The barcode scanner is not even a usable feature. It is super blurry and will not focus on the barcode. Very disappointing. Not to mention the app has some categories that will not load so I can not access things such as burp cloths, swaddles or clothes because of the lack of accessability. All together, a very dissatisfied customer. Registry is supposed to be fun and all this has been is a huge let down.

I personally do not like this app. It was better when it was all in the Target app itself. You have to remove items that are no longer for sale manually because it doesn't do it automatically. There are tons of items listed in the app that aren't actually available through Target. There's even times when I try to add items while in the store and it tells me the items don't exist. I wish they would have just left this in the original Target app so we could add items to our registries from there.

Tried to look at my friend's registry on the regular target app and it pulled up in the browser. Then came across this app hoping I could view it on here but no. This app is only for people to create and manage their own registry. Really don't like that I can't view someone else's registry on an app, it can only be done in the browser.

The registry app leaves you wanting. 1st, why is the regisrty app a seperate one? All other stores have their regisrty in the same app. 2nd, when searching, all products are not shown, unless you look for them specificly. I had to use the target app to browse, then go to the registry app to search it to add it to my list (another great reason to have one sigular app). 3rd, the MOST annoying thing, you cannot shop your registry! When you select the option it glitches & will not open, No 15% off!

I had issues earlier this month and while those issues were fixed, I tried to change my profile pic but I was logged out of the app for no reason, when I tried to log in I couldn't remember my password, upon trying to reset my password I kept receiving an error that my wifi needed to be checked when I know good and well it works perfectly. The people who are in charge of this app need to take things more seriously and make sure it functions because Im sick of all the bugs I've noticed.

Its annoying that targer makes you get a second app to at all, but the bigger issue is that if you get logged in and then accidentally log out by hitting back, the app has you sign in again then immediately kicks you out. After trying to log in multiple times I just give up until a few hours later and then I can sometimes get back in. I know the password is correct because it will say hi and open my home screen, then it refreshes me back to the login page.

Scanning items from the app while in-store is the only positive. Updating anything and claiming the online discount is atrocious. I had to use Target's website to complete my purchase on a desktop and the registry app hasn't updated that anything was purchased and hasn't updated quantities. This is my second registry and don't remember having this many issues the first time. The app needs to have more communication with the actual Target app/website.
