* Permissions Notes *
- READ_CONTACTS is required to be able to include contact thumbnails in the created app, and then only if specified by the user
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is required to put the new app on external storage (note: on some devices, 'external storage' is non-removable, which is also fine)
- WAKE_LOCK is required to stop the device sleeping while the app is being created
- created apps do not necessarily have these permissions, only the ones needed for the functions they use

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars... As an IT, specifically one who deals in mobile technology, it's often necessary to use tasker for automation or alert functionality. This lets me create custom apps I can then send a client directly, no need for them to buy extra stuff. It has made my world immesurably easier, and I have used it for years now.
This worked months ago when i first discovered it, but i just tried now without success. From Tasker, i select a task, and select Export from the burger menu, then I select As App, but nothing else happens, no dialogue pops up like it used to. Tried rebooting phone, and reinstalling this app, no luck. Can anyone help? If so, I'll happily asjust the low score.
As much as I love tasker, this app factory is limited. The only apps you can make are toggle apps similar to the toggles on your android and there is no need for that. I've been working to create an app that exports the Profile/trigger events along with the tasks and scenes for an entire day and it exports only scenes that don't work. I'm doing everything right according to tutorials online but when i install the app the app only opens scenes once and then i can't reopen it. It's a nightmare!
Works great on my OnePlus phone. So I side loaded it on my Android TV but I can't pass the Disclaimer screen while creating an app from the Tasker. Can you fix this? The same issue was there for Tasker Disclaimer page but when I hit back on that page a pop-up is displyed to confirm. Something similar would help in this case also. Thanks.
I like it, because i can export my apps and have them working apart and have my Tasker cleaner, but recently i tried sharing one of those with a friend, and there are some tasks that don't work. :(
Initially didn't work on my Galaxy S10+. I contacted the developer who got back to me within minutes. I passed on some information and within a few hours was sent an updated version which works perfectly. 5 stars for both the app which is incredibly useful and also the dev who exceeds all expectations. The store needs more apps and devs like this. Thank you :-)
Works ok. But i miss a feature for including external files. Creating those manually bloats the app with duplicate data. Would also be nice if there was an option for creating Android TV apps.
It cannot save the apk files. It tries to save in the default folder and fails. Even if I set a different folder it goes back to the default folder.
Now people lucky enough to know you, merely need to utter their creative ideas/absurd requests to you, have you design, refine, and put online, and they too can partake in the wonders and awesomeness that is the one, the only, TASKER!
Great app. Now I can run Tasker stuff on any phone without Tasker installed. For the cretins saying this is useless, this is an app that extends another app called Tasker. This app isn't supposed to show up in the launcher.
The package installer crashes when trying to install the .apk created with this tool. EDIT: The problem is solved with using a .ico file as an icon. It should be mentioned somewhere during this process in my opinion. :)
It used to work but doesn't anymore when trying to export as an app, it says to contact developer as it needs an older software 5.8.3 which I am apparently on 5.8.5. Can this be fixed to bring to a glowing review please?!
I think a lot of people on here just don't understand how this works, I've been using it for years on different devices, everytime i had an error was because of something I did on Tasker, the app is not broken, we are ...
Great! I would give it a 10 stars ;-) if it could compile the plugins with it... This would allow to create awesome and potentially lucrative apps...
The simplest was to create a standalone app. Great plugin with excellent support!
This, I tell you, is the best thing Tasker has to offer. My phone has so many apps my friends think are developed by some mysterious friend of mine 😈
Not working on S10+. Doesn't give an error, just does nothing. Didn't need it on S9+...

It always worked for me, you just need correct version for your tasker version.
HUGE fan of Tasker for many years but... Both updated but won't creating an app with the same message to update both apps .
Pitiful that do not create apps and only widgets but it works very well.
Best app dev tool I've come across. One question: Play Store seems to be forcing new releases to .aab format.. Does App Factory support this format?

GREAT! THANKS! It is LEGITIMATE (re the stupid comments) so if you can READ it makes sense! You need Tasker installed (very cheap but GREAT) app installed first.

Why can't I export an app unless running a beta version of Tasker? I did sign up to the beta program, then all my Tasker plugins started asking for beta versions, permissions that didn't make sense and even repeat payments. I have no idea what's going on. Nothing makes me cry, but this is coming close!
