This is just a helper app for Tasker. It allows you to change some settings that Tasker can't change by itself. This app won't do anything by itself.
By having this app installed, Tasker is able to change some System Settings that isn't able to change normally:
- Notification Pulse
- Most System Settings in the Custom Setting action

Does what it says it does. I use it with Tasker to automatically disable ADB access when connecting to the car Bluetooth, so that Android Auto will work (OnePlus OxygenOS bug). And also to reenable ADB when disconnecting from the car Bluetooth.
Contrary to what most assumed, this is not a "free version" of Tasker. This app is a support app for Tasker itself. This is a great decision as it keeps Tasker very modular and those with concerns for some of the permissions can choose not to use this one. A very supportive developer too and thus we should support him as well.
I'm giving it 4 stars instead to support the developer against those who don't know what this is but I also can't give it 5 since it's too old for my device. Well, it didn't work properly on my os but it could be that it isn't compatible fully with it. Anyway I know this is very useful (glad Tasker has better reviews itself) and I don't always leave reviews but wanted to give this a boost no matter how small.
Not compatible with Android 10 (S20+). I am looking for an app that just simply can enable and disable my dual SIM in a certain time frame. Internet searches mentioned this app. Unfortunately, like another user mentioned, this app is too old for my device. Hope there will be an update soon!
It works if it doesn't work for you, you probably should study up on Tasker first. The developers behind Tasker are competent and have proven that to their core users who actually know what we're doing 😉. So before you knock it best to know what the heck you're doing. Have a wonderful day 😁.
Tasker is awesome. I wanted to disable unlock lock sounds at a certain time of the day when I tried through customs settings, i was prompted to download this app. It didn't work.
The developer is very responsive with support and did a great job. Btw most if not all of the low star comments and people who don't know what Tasker is or thought this was a trial for Tasker. Please read the app description before you install you laggards.
adb says "Package com.joaomgcd.taskersettings has not requested permission android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS" so i haven't been able to use the app... but 5 stars because THIS ISN'T TASKER! and people should learn to read before making a low effort, 1 star "dosent work" review. edit: i downloaded the tasker settings apk from r/tasker and it works flawlessly
I thought it was the free version of tastker, with limited functions too, but it's not. So bad Tasker only available on paid version, for sure I won't buy it without trying. I gave 5 star because it's explained in the description, not because I liked the app.
This app is almost a redirect. I read the description-D10, but I see no reason this app can't be put in Tasker. It'd be helpful if the D10 had more info about what this app lets tasker do. Tasker already has permission to mod sys settings-S7. Tasker S7 can mod sys S7 on install. I'm confused about why Android allows this. Finally, I don't like how the app hides from searches. I want to see the app info without using Settings. It should ask to hide itself, but I'd like to know how you hide an app?
The app does what's described, it's a helper app for Tasker. Joao has been adding to Tasker for years and recent picked up development of Tasker from the original developer. This is not a scam.
Works great. I was able to create a toggle for Samsung's fast charging with this and the help of the internet. Thank you!
When I install this app it tells me it's made for an older version of Android. Is this still a good app or is it even needed anymore for tasker? Got it. Thanks for the quick response
Useful but could be improved. The plugin has a place for variable name, but it should be left blank, plugin fills in as %settings_value, which works. Other variables may or may not work. Variables in lists should be sorted.

Rating 5 stars in order to compensate the 1 star review from the idiots. This is just an addon. You still need to install the paid version of tasker. This app is great and very useful.
Integrates some broken functionality caused by google API targets back into Tasker. Looks like the github version is more capable than the Play Store version because of some Google restrictions.
This is a great helper app for tasker though I find it very sad that people don't bother to read the description and say that it is a scam. Keep up the good work!
Works great, it allows tasker to switch my audio from stereo to mono, and vice versa
I had a few problems setting this up but after sending an email to the developer he helped me solve all the problems I had.

I can't install it on my Huawei P10 Lite for some reason. I keep getting an error message. Is it possible to fix that? I know what the app is for, I just can't download it

Can you hide this from the app drawer? Edit: still remains, even after a launcher FC; goes to its app info in settings upon launch

This seemingly innocent add on for Tasker allows changing many settings normally inaccessible to Tasker. Using this plugin, it's also possible to change many settings that are specific to phone vendors. For example, this plugin (with tasker) on my Samsung S10+ allowed me to turn on a "detection" mode, change a samsung specific setting (AOD display) and the plugin told me what low-level setting was actually changed. From there, it was trivial to set up a task to change the setting on demand from within Tasker.
