I've successfully used this app for years. But, now, it doesn't work as in won't even open. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my phone, updated my OS, uninstalled, reinstalled and NOTHING works. There's a glitch somewhere. Not my job to figure out. So frustrating.
EDITED App finally works again for Samsung Galaxy S21 as of ver. 2.57. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app. For the last 2 or 3 versions, it wouldn't even boot up. I've only hired one tasker so far, but I had a positive experience. She helped me move furniture from my brother's apt. to mine. She was prepared, had a fair rate and was very nice. Would use Taskrabbit again.
First task booking went smoothly. For the second task, the app repeatedly told me try again later. (Actual issue is that tasker is not accepting jobs.) On third try I got to check out and it told me to select payment method, which I did. App did not show payment method selected or show hourly rate. Had to redo on website. Now I'm getting push notifications for messages but the notification doesn't take me to the message. Service is good, app is not.
I downloaded with thoughts that i would be able to become a tasker... But no the app wont do anything when clicked. Well it gives the option to open with the app or online. Ive clicked both, nothing hapoens if i open in the app and if i click open online it tells me "this can be done in the app, would you like to open in app?" Regardless ofmy selection im still not a tasker. Please fix
Very disappointing experience. Booked a morning session for IKEA furniture. The tasker contacted me to tell me that it was booked for... the afternoon but that he couldn't come before 2pm. After the surprise and having to rearrange my plans I said OK. Eventually on the day, the tasker cancelled less than 24 hours (in the evening) before the appointment. I was offered a replacement but didn't work out. I had to reschedule, took more than 24 hours for a tasker without any experience. Useless!!
Every client, I have to remind for info on builds. It's never provided properly. You know I need the Ikea numbers, everytime. You know that if I don't get this it's a booking issue for me, it's a booking issue for the client. You know this. It's my time, it's the clients experience, it's the fact that I have other clients and it's there time and experience that depends on clear info. Customer service is everything, I got that in spades, task rabbit has to do more for these fees. So disappointed
Absolutely useless app, the person i booked was fantastic but the app is an absolute joke for the fees they add on to the service. They have charged me for an hour of service, then they refunded it, now they are sending me emails that my payment failed yet I'm not able to submit new card or Google pay, it's just not going through.
*Edit A supervisor has reached out and although it's still broken at least a supervisor reached out. Basic support has no info on anything so push for a supervisor immediately if you want anything answered The search Doesn't work and support is non existent. They will just transfer you in transfer you and put you on hold. Don't bother trying to search for ikea with this
This app is broken. * When you try to have Android remember your password for you, when you click to have Android enter it it does not actually fill in. * When you try to select a scheduled time, The list of times does not display properly. You have to click in an empty white space to make it magically appear. * After booking one task I could never book another task again because it would ask me to add my payment information, which was already added. Still broken 04/11/22
I love this app! We've used it to install electrical in our very old house, to install a spiral staircase to the second floor. I like the format of the apps usability and they have great and experienced skilled trades to hire.
Used the app for cleaning. Pretty bad experience . Following are the frustrations: 1) the time you specify in your request can be overridden by tasker. Which means you have to go back and forth with each tasker. I have a feeling this is because tasker doesnt get to pick working slots for each task. 2) after the booking the tasker can start adding random constraints like "i have a new minimum hours". 3) when you get the bill, it has this steep fee 4) reasons for cancel are presumptive and ads fee
Overall app was good. A bit frustrating that you can't simply respond to text msg's from your tasker. The app forces you to communicate through the app.
I am a single, older lady and struggle with getting things done around the house because I am not able to do myself. Recently heard about TaskRabbit and my first experience was great. Looking forward to using in the future.
Can't Login Tried to get help with login problems spoke to support and i was told to wait to hear back. It's been almost 10 days and still can't login. Ticket # 4959160

used task rabbit for the first time. absolutely wonderful the gut was on time as planned. built everything to perfection. very happy😁
I'm a tasker. I lost my Elite badge for the first time after 2 years. The month I lost it I made way more money than the month I had it. The elite badge means nothing. Taskrabbit can take there analytics garbage and shove it where the sun don't shine.
Badly designed, at least for the android version. When I tried to enter my postal code for the credit card info, it only let me input numbers, not letters. When I tried to send images within the chat, it would never succeed
once you cancel, it's hard to rehire the same tasker, customer service was friendly but they can't book for you, they can just give you directions. Customer service is in different countries, make sure you pick the right one.
I have used it for moving and all was fine. Then I was trying to find someone to clean my flat. Some people were offering 1-2 hours house or office cleaning per week for some price and when i tried to book it about 5 of them declined. I have cats, could have something to do with that. Then the page sent me an e-mail that i need to change the description of the task because it does not match what i need (it did). So i stopped using it, the cleaning companies are more reliable.
Tasker had an hourly rate. We scheduled but then she sends her number and asked me to text her. I did. All of a sudden she was asking for $150.00 per hour instead of the $30.00 at the last minute. Watch out users. With your billing card already added a tasker can charge your card for any amount and clear your bank account/max out your credit card. It's a rip off in my area. Not sure any of these 5* reviews are legit!
It's handy and convenient. One star off because it's part of this crazy tipping culture. There is no reason to prompt for tips when you are paying someone an hourly rate that THEY set themselves...
They will connect you a contractor who will constantly reschedule you until you give up, then charge you a cancellation fee. It's a scam.
Taskrabbit is an awesome App. Its a must have App with the world becoming so versatile. Its set up with prompt, professional and dedicated solution experts!!!
I hired a plumber with good reviews from TaskRabbit and he did not have the expertise to solve my shower drain issue. I lost 47 Euros for the appointment without any result. I wouldn't recommend booking services on TaskRabbit because it's not reliable!
Horrrible!!! Only let's you choose from 2 cities in whole state!!!! And if you are a tasker and do not live in those 2 cities...you have to drive to them to get a task!!!!!
Needed help to assemble some furniture, had taskers assigned to it repeatedly cancel on me. How you lot snagged some sort of exclusive deal with IKEA is beyond me. Do not recommend and will not be using your service again - I'd have better luck pulling some random off the street with a lure of free beer and pizza.
Having the same issues some other reviewers have talked about. The service is great. My first booking went well. I liked it so much I figured I'd use it again. I've been trying to book my second booking for two hours. Each time I go to pay, it won't provide the payment option or hourly rate. Uninstalling doesn't help and neither does restarting the phone, app, or readding the payment method. So disappointed because it could be so helpful.
