Taste - Movie & TV Recommendations

A great app, I'm kind of addicted to rating movies in this app, the only suggestion I have is to integrate a way to find people with the same taste in movies or shows to you and follow them. Add a bit of a social aspect to the app. Now I know this might be a large move in a new direction, but I'd definitely love this Edit: the app keeps crashing at startup after the update Edit 2.0: the crashing issues got fixed. I appreciate that you care and take time to read feedback.

It's a good app that I still use, though some features I'd like to see again are: having a favourite movie as your cover/bsckground/banner, really allowed personalisation, showing the genre count of movies watched (its available to see on PC but not mobile) and I'd like to see perhaps a night mode to be implicated into the app. Overall its great and easy to use

Update update: functionality has been restored to the free version, but in the process, they have introduced many bugs. For example, it is impossible to review multiple movies in a row. When you try, then the review you wrote for the previous movie fills in automatically, and cannot be edited. Have to kill the app and open again to fix. I have hundreds of movies to review! Argh Rating unchanged. Still 1 star.

The app is a bit buggy (rating a new movie blocked by the input of the previous) but it's a good tool for finding interesting stuff to watch. Update: yes still having bug issues.

Fun! I enjoy sharing ideas without the excessive interaction you can have on social media. The app is designed for you to accumulate points while rating movies you've already seen, in order to recommend what to watch next, according to the streaming platforms you already have. Brilliant! Totally worth the download

Still waiting for dark mode to return. Interesting recommendations. Displays streaming availability! But doesn't show which seasons/episodes. Trakt integration (or similar) to import watched shows/movies would be awesome and a huge time saver

I used to like this app but the choices i get are all the same. After your update it seems i only get series ( i don't even watch series only movies ) preferred the old version as it was more clear i honestly feel it's become hard to navigate and a bit messy

It is fun to rate movies and shows. But the app is broken. It asks me to save my interests every 10-20 seconds and makes it impossible to dismiss without navigating to the Interests page. When selecting interests it's impossible to save, so you have to backtrack upon which it will just ask again for you to add your interests. So either make the interests page save youe options, or allow that notification to be dismissed properly. Edit _ the most recent update fixed this issue. Thanks!

I enjoy the app and the idea of the app. Biggest gripe right now is that posting reviews is completely broken. When I go to write a review, I will proofread it. The app always freezes when I go to make corrections to my review before I post it. The app then proceeds to be stuck to where I cannot post the review or go back to the previous page. This continues till the app crashes. Please fix, reviews are the best part of the app.

Maybe I just need time to get used to the new UI, but I'm not digging it. The savelist page's icons are massive. I have a lot of movies on my list and I have to scroll forever to see them. Also can't sort by rating in the watchlist when slicing under the search watchlist section.

I was really enjoying this app until the update. Before the recent update, I could pick a category and it would organize results based on my streaming apps and match% to my tastes. Now I get No Results on the home screen selections and the new top matches category includes what i've already seen. When I pick a category now, I get some random result that isn't even highly matched to my tastes. So disappointed. I personally didn't use it for the social aspect.

Solved undesired prompted issues with update v.1.30. There's an additional bug on the fonts at the bottom of the Discovery screen. The app would knock it out of the park if the watchlist could interact with Google's API that uses a watchlist so I don't have to go back and forth between watchlists.

I had downgraded to an earlier edition, and was forced to update today. I'm glad because you guys significantly cleaned things up.

I loved this app, but since the update, the scrolling isnt smooth. I also really wish they added an option to sort by year, you are able to sort by streaming service, genre, and mood, but not year?? This app could be fantastic, one id even pay for if they added more old movies and fixed these issues.

Lacks interests like thrillers, suspense or action. That should improve ratings and suggestions.

I would like if when you search for the actors, you could also see the series. The app is so movie focused that they don't let you search as much for TV series.

I like it. The reviews are simple and the way it matches what you might like seems to work. In a simple way it makes a game out of reviewing. Unfortunately the quest to rate other people's reviews doesn't work for me and it's limiting in that way.

Good information if you make an effort but this is easily the neediest app with the notifications that I've every encountered so I uninstalled it after spending a long time using the swipe system to improve recommendations

I would love to see a feature to select form previousely watched movies to watch again or in a tab where it asks "dont know what to watch, watch again" or something like that.

So with this latest update there seems to be an issue with the "rate these reactions..." quests. Other than that, I really like the direction thats being taken with the app

Love this, would it be possible, in the future, to click a section where it could suggest movies to watch that I've already seen too? When I look for suggestions sometimes I want to watch something I already love again

The Jan 2022 update is complete garbage. They removed the useful categories where you could see all your most compatible movies, there is no way to browse shows, and suggestions are still random and pointless.

App has lots of potential, but is also quite buggy. Current version gets very slow when scrolling long watchlists. Movies still show in "watch together" watchlists even after the have been marked as seen.

Pretty good. After a few ratings, the recommendations are uncannily accurate. Add a dark theme, and I'll give you a 5th star.

App stutters a lot. Miss the feature to be able to sort my "interested" list by highest percentage I'll like it. Nothing is easy to find. Very confusing.

The new update makes this app horrible, it now runs so poorly that i cant properly use the app, and the organization makes it harder to find the movies im looking for, i use to use this app everyday, but now im thinking of deleting it since its been ruined (Edit - yes it is now usable since the latest update, but still laggy, thanks for the continued work on this issue)
