tastytimer - Professional Cooking Timer
A unique interface provides a graphical representation of the cooker/hob layout that you actually have in your own kitchen. On launch you will be presented with the different cooking ring/burner layouts available on existing appliances. Simply select the one that represents the layout you have in your own kitchen.
If you place something to cook on the top left ring of your stovetop/hob then just tap the top left ring on tastytimer. If you put something to cook on the bottom right ring of your stovetop/hob just tap the bottom right ring on tastytimer and so on, it’s simple and incredibly useful. Our ‘Number Grid’ system is by far the quickest method of entering a cooking time, just tap to set.
Moving between rings: If you want to literally put a pan ’on the back burner’ there is no need to reset, simply tap the relevant ring, tap the move button, then drag to it’s new location. The timer will then continue timing on the new ring.
tastytimer is intended to be permanantly on screen while you cook, however if you do need to take a call or answer a message it continues working in the background.
The settings section allows you to change the ring layout or change the alarm sound to one of many tones and rhythms. Settings can be found at the bottom right of the time selection grid.
A large amount of time has been spent (with people who actually cook) creating the unique interface for tastytimer which has resulted in an app which ‘just works’ and, once tried, will seem like the obvious and only way to do it.
For home Cooks and professional Chefs we believe tastytimer to be the very best App of it’s type and hope that you find it as useful as we do.

Finally someone else that designs using the KISS method! Very easy to learn, and even easier to use. If I had to make a suggestion, I'd suggest to allow the user to invert the colors or (preferably) do custom colors. That's the only thing I think that could make it better, and it isn't hurt by not being able to do that. Nice app!
The concept for this is perfect, simple and clean. 4 stars because the time setting lets it down, a page of numbers including 0!? please put the ability to input whatever time you want into the timer in hours, minutes and seconds
There's no way to go back and change the layout, the alarm is not audible, there's nothing in the notification bar to bring up the app. I have high hopes that this would be my go-to app oh, but it needs work
Used it for major roast dinner cookfest, brilliant for keeping all those separate items timed to perfection. Love the way you can move the timers when you swap hobs.
I had certain issues when I first installed. But I found a 1 star rating below that had the same issue as I did I followed the reply on how to fix the issue it works great has been very helpful.
Worthless. They somehow made the simplest of tools (a timer) into something unintuitive. And why, in the name of beelzebub, is it forced into landscape mode? Dumbest design decision ever.
Did not play nice on my Galaxy S9. Just green circles and squares, no words. Selecting items produced screens that I could not interpret the meaning of.
One of the more original apps I have tried on mobile. Incredibly simple, fast to use yet great functionality.
Nice and minimal design, just need some funky electro now with which to boil my eggs!

stupidly simple. brilliantly clever
This is now working and I will be using it again, the customer care responded to my issue in good time, thank you for that. this is a great app this stopped working after 5 days, shame as for the first 5 it's exactly what I needed and it worked perfectly. Now when I open the app and I set the time it does not count down, and when I pick the format of the cooker top view I prefer it just just changes it back to the one I dislike, all very annoying. I've moved onto another timer app now.
