One of the best card based games available. The depth to each class is astonishing, the 3 different modes of game play are refreshing & challenging, and the sheer amount of replayability, has left me pouring hours into this masterpiece of a mobile game. Few tweeks here and there I would Ike to see, for example; the grammar on some cards needs revisiting to make it clearer what the interaction will be, double debut interaction carries over. Would be 5 star if I was able to sync saves.
Ok, I have a few problems. Currency drastically goes down after you've watched the first set of ads. One playthrough could last 30 minutes to over an hour and the amount you get is terrible for that amount of time. Higher challenges seriously rely on ads, I agree with the guy who pointed out huge decks are terrible and makes the challenge that forces you to pick up cards seriously a difficulty spike. They need to prioritize making the cloud save! Last thing, really? Putting an ad on the exit?
Would give these guys 5 stars if the cloud save feature would work. Fun game, great roguelike crawler with a high degree of repeatability. The extra dungeons are great. They're worth the 10,000 gem price. However: the cloud save is busted. I just re-downloaded the game on my new phone, again, in hopes the cloud has updated: to no avail. I literally have the old phone on, connected to wifi, game running. New phone accesses cloud: cloud save date- August of 2020. It's been like this for months.
I've put more hours into this game than any other game I've found in the play store in 4 years. There is a lot of unlock, the ads are very light (unless you want additional accessories during gameplay), a good amount of repayablity, and a variety of styles and strategies. Being able to have multiple games going at once without losing progress. Here's the cons though: it's very buggy. Some things don't work the way they are supposed to, the game can freeze up a lot, especially World Tournament.
Fun game with great replay value! The reason I docked a star is because it has several ways of exploiting things to make the game ridiculously easy, and I just can't help myself ;) If you make a mistake in battle you can simply force close the app and try again as many times as you want. You can also watch an ad to receive a power up, exit to the main menu, then resume your progress and another ad is available along with another power up. Bosses are easy when you have 10+ swords and shields.
The game is addictive and challenging. It is a well-designed game, albeit the challenge in unlocking new decks. I would, however, like it better if there was a prompt button upon pressing the "End Turn". Sometimes, I accisentally tap on End Turn and it just skips my turn without any prompts; this causes me to be dealt a huge amount of damage, which instantaneously lost my interest in continuing.
A very entertaining game. There are a few changes that need to be implemented, however the game is in early stages still. Also everything is beatable, with every class. The people who complain about the difficulty simply don't know how to build a deck. My main concerns are that the 'story' is only 3 bosses long. I hope to see a longer mode eventually. Although I haven't ventured into challenge much. Another is that it is difficult to read what cards do when they're so low on the screen.
The app is great. Obviously, it takes inspiration from games like Slay the Spire but the gameplay is vastly different. There are a lot of unique cards yet they feel strangely the same. You don't get a certain disconnect like in other games if you suddenly switched classes. The opening class is great; a good mix of tidbits of what you can see from other classes yet it still holds a certain uniqueness to it. Great game. Note: Add more user-friendly features for summoning? | A little too much ads.
Please, fix the grammar. Also, complete the details. It's really confusing if the texts in the cards are missing words that makes the idea unclear. The graphics are unique in its own way so thats a plus. I just hope that it wouldn't have unnecessary heavy graphics in the future so that it's just lightweight like it is now, and that makes it for people who aren't fortunate enought to have high-end phones. Hope the devs continue to work on this. Good luck.
I find this game completely addictive! There's a lot of complexity and replayability in the mechanics. The pace at which you're able to earn the Gems just by playing, makes unlocking new content easy and fast enough to feel like there's always something new to explore. The art production quality isn't super polished, to put it generously. But I still enjoy it because there is still character and personality in the illustrations of the cards and monsters.
Fantastic grid based, deck building strategy game! Developer updates the game about every 2 weeks introducing new archetypes and modes. I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience. That being said I have now lost all progress twice. I cannot recommend this game in its current state as you can lose all progress at the drop of a hat. Fix the backup save issue.
Game is extremely fun. It's a great way to kill time, but some of the bosses are completely out of tune. The mutated leech does way too much, and shouldn't even be a first tier boss. I also wish you guys kept the buffs whenever you start a run as it allowed for a better gameplay experience. Besides some of these cons, the game overall is really fun.
I've had this game for some time now and since the beggining I'm having an incredible time playing it, pretty original gameplay and although tough it feels rewarding finishing a run. That being said, i pesonally have a harsh point to make. The last game mode, with the champions, is incredibly buggy with the robots. Some aoe ability, some multi kill effect, many cards drawn. All those effects will freeze my game and restarting doesn't help, it will happen again.
This is an amazing game in concept. My only complaints are that the touch sensitivity is a little unresponsive at times (using Samsung S20+) and it REALLY needs an ability to tap a card and see what it does rather than pull up the "hand" menu to be able to read card text. Also it has a lot of ads. Granted, the ads are voluntary but I'd appreciate an option to remove ads and unlock all characters. With a bit more work on the touch issue, I'd pay 10-15 for this game.
Really fun and fast-paced roguelike card game with ton of replayability but also with some weaknesses Pros * Borrowed many ideas from Slay the Spire while adding enough own elements to deliver a refreshing experience * High replayability due to offering many different classes * Offers enough ways (watch optional ads for rewards) to keep it free to play * The team keeps introducing new elements on a regular basis * Good amount of strategy and tactics involved while not being overwhelming * While not perfect, the game feels balanced overall despite the large amount of content Cons * A big problem for me is the option to see ads after each(!) enemy encounter during a run to get gold (which can be used to update the deck) or a buff for the next enemy encounter. If you skip it, you feel like you're handicapping yourself. It also greatly disrupts the overall flow and atmosphere of the game - heroes crawling through a monster-infested dungeon while watching ads after each little progress? I would gladly accept more ads in the Tavern or pay for ad-free games but seeing them during a run will make this game unplayable for me at some point. * The reward system for playing the actual game is not satisfactory. If you complete a run or quest, you will receive less reward than by watching an ad. This gives you the feeling that the games have very little impact on your overall progress. One solution could be to separate the content that can be unlocked by successfully playing the game or by watching an ad e.g. adding content that can only be unlocked by playing the game. * The visual presentation of the game is not great. I understand that this game is still in the middle of development, but at the moment it is still far from a coherent fantasy world. * No tutorial. The game is not complex but it might be hard to understand for people new in this genre
I quite enjoy this game. It is very good. The gameplay is fun and it has mechanics that are thought out or standard and easily understood. The only problem i have is that even after having won multiple times and having completed challenges i am still nowhere near unlocking any of the other people that are playable. Other than that it is a wonderful game.
This is a very fun game, I love the way everything works. I can get past most of the issues I am going to list, but some people might not. The game becomes repetitive quite fast since every class has mostly 1 optimal way to play it if you want to win. Some final bosses are cute puppies compared to the others. The game has content to ocupy many many of your "coffee breaks", but since the meta is so strict, it gets dull fast. Overall I love it but there is so much room for improvement.
I really like the game and want to add a suggestion: Could you add a Co-op mode where you can team up with your friend and play the game? But make the game 2 times harder or something. Also maybe make game mode like easy or hard because if you just start playing at the start you will just continue to lose because you don't really know how the cards work even though it says how it works and stuff. So like if you are new you can just change it to like easy and progress to normal and then hard.
Oh there is SO much content in this game. There are five distinct classes to choose from, each containing about 100 unique cards (~70 units and~30 spells). You only start with one class, but you can earn all of the others in game for free, you can also get a free pass for any class 3 times a day by watching an ad, or buy the classes one at a time. One other great thing about this game is all ads are by choice\ watch for rewards kind of deal, totally optional. It's a good game, try it and see!
It's a good + challenging card battle game. The cards are fun and generally the translation is understandable. The big problem is you lose your progress at random when you close it and have to start from scratch, must have happened to me about 3-4 times and the last time triggered me uninstalling. Another small bit of feedback is that the gesture to view your cards is a bit awkward - frequently you just end up picking them up instead
I have to give you five star, just a few things. First it feels way to hard to get those gek things. Even beating all three levels, I still only got 15. Since I need 10,000 to unlock a new class, it is pretty bad. Second of, I think the squire card is too OP. Yes, I love it so much, but having four of them and a good many knights makes it very difficult for the enemy to defeat me, which is fine, and makes it fun... And I need easier ways to heal myself please. Good game though. 😁
Really fun mechanics, though it could definitely use some feeling of meta progression. Even just being able to take a successful deck into a harder replay would be cool, instead of your run just being gone with no trace. As others have said, the unlock costs are absurd. Daily quests are a nice idea but being given quests requiring unlocks we don't have, especially with no way to refuse/remove a quest, completely defeats the purpose.
Great game, honestly one of my absolute favorite games I've played. It provides a great experience that can feel different each time due to the diversity of blessings and cards. The only thing that I can say that bothers me is that, as a completionist, I've played the hunters guild through almost 200 times (I'm at 197) and still haven't gotten the Ninja Assassin card... I literally have all the other cards in the encyclopedia except it. Other than that though, It's a fantastic game.
I've had nothing but good experiences with this little game, even with just the starting area. However, I've recently come into an issue. All my gems, missions, and progress have reset. Not everything was reset, because it remembered a Magick Academy run that I stopped in the middle of. However, all my unlocked factions and skins from previous events are gone. This won't keep me from playing, I'm fine with restarting, but I'm just sad my fav skins are gone.
Lot of grinding to unlock content... I'm weeks in and only like 15%. It also requires the deck to be reset and all progress lost each time you lose or complete a run. If there was more ability to tailor the deck strategy each time instead of hoping for randomness, this would EASILY BE 5 Star, I haven't seen anything like this before, and I want more. Great job devs!
The game has potential to be fun even though it's clearly unfinished. What ruins it is the ludicrous monetization. I've played for 15 minutes and I've been prompted to watch ads more than 10 times. Had I watched them all, pretty much half the time I would have spent on the game would have been watching ads. You can watch an ad to x10 your end of run rewards, so basically if you don't watch it, you'll never make any progress in the game.
