Overall this app is outstanding (disclaimer: I've been using Taxslayer for over 10 years, so I may be a little biased). The app itself is very intuitive and easy to use. However, when switching from vertical to horizontal on your phone, it requires you to sign back in. The same thing happens when you're using split-screen mode and you adjust the size of the split-screen. Other than that, I would highly recommend this app (4.8 stars).

I wish it was more apparent if you could choose a free version which I thought they had other than the premium version. Also if I am requested to go back to double check my W2 please make it easier to go back to the end of the process so I don't have to go through everything again from W2 to the ending hitting Continue a million times. Frequently it was hard to get to the menu because the auction would just disappear. There are a few glitches in this app but I was able to file in under an hour.

Wasted enough time to more than make up for any $ I might have saved vs TurboTax or something. I have a lot of documents to enter this year, and I couldn't even get through the first one. Logs you out if your screen rotates? Yup. It does. Go to another app to get W2 info, come back and it asks if you're sure you want to navigate away. After a ½hour, I right I got smart and went to split screen. Except it logged me out w/o saving all my work.

This is my first rst time using this app and so far it's wonderful. It's very explanatory. Also NO ADS. You can't mess up and every page has the option to go back to previous pages in case you need to change or correct anything. Thanks for developing an app that is so easy to use, especially for whomever is experiencing tax deadline anxiety. I definitely recommend TaxSlayer for your tax services.😊

Very annoying app, autofill doesn't work very well and constantly brought me back to the log in screen, as did any accidental screen rotations. Not to mention the mandatory "upgrade" just to pay for services that where free last year. If it's not a better app next year I can't see myself using it again.

Constant, and I mean constant panhandling with the: "Surprise! We've upgraded you to X membership!" And it appears to be a mandatory charge, making you think it's part of the process, until you scroll down alllll the way and in itty bitty text see "no thanks". Press no thanks thirteen times. No guarantee it won't force Classic on you again the very next page of your return though. Signs you out for twenty seconds of inactivity, repeats pages constantly. Like pulling teeth every year.

Complete garbage. When I went to try to sign in this year it says that since I'm on a new phone I have to verify it's really me. All fine and dandy. Except that I can only verify through email and this garbage app isn't sending me an email with a verification code. I've tried changing the email but to do that I have to add a photo id pic. Again, that's fine. Except that damn app won't let me add any pics!

Has issues online, website and same issues on this app too. same problems kicking you off in middle of working on tax's. same problems not letting you progress when trying to move to next section when clicking on Continue! No good. need to get it fix ASAP. Not as reliable and easy to use as TurboTax. If they don't fix this app or make it easier to navigate and use?... then they won't last long. I give this app 2 star at most. Vs. 4 star TurboTax. So which would u use? 2 star or 4 star app?

Got all the way through the process and was set to file using their "free" service and then was told I was upgraded without my permission and that it would cost $76 to file. No option to change it back to the free option. It's a scam people, don't bother using TaxSlayer.

Has major glitches. When you rotate the phone with auto rotate it kicked me out of finishing filing. It won't let Google finish filling in my email. It deletes it. That took me wayonger to finish filling. Also I had to keep resetting my password because of the auto rotate issue

Really, really glitchy today on tax day and apparently the last few days. However, I was able to submit my tax return I had completed but not submitted months ago. I have no idea how people are getting through the pages while getting bounced out over and over. All I needed to do was pay and hit submit and it took me 3 hours.

App seems to work fine, but I filed my taxes with a desktop browser. It's nice to have the app, but it's even nicer to have a tax filing site that isn't owned by Intuit who lobbies against automatic tax filing (I'm looking at you, credit karma). I'm glad to have found my new tax partner.

On Android, I can login just fine but when trying to upload a pdf on my previous years tax return, tapping on the upload icon doesn't work, nothing happens. I just hit the SKIP button and manually entered my information.

Very easy overall. Normally I use the website, but was on the go and wasn't near a computer. So I decided to check out the app. It was just as easy as their website, 15 mins later and my return was done.

Everything was great until it was time to file. The server repeatedly crashed and I was not able to process my taxes until the day after tax day. I called Taxslayer hours before the deadline and it did not appear there was a concerted effort to appeal to filers attempts to process their taxes before the midnight deadline. So now I'm late and shall have to pay a penalty for that.

Mostly easy except the app and mobile site force you to use a number keyboard without a "." button. So if you like cut and paste. I'm using an LG This year its still that same BS. Its otherwise easy to use if you have an easy tax return.

Love Taxslayer! I always somehow get the highest refund on my return with them. I use and input all my tax info into the top 3 Tax Prep apps/programs just to compare. TS won again by a landslide. This is because they are truly better at finding deductions and most important CREDITS which increases my refund. Thank you again TSlayer!!!

It's a very easy app to use to file your taxes. If something is filled out incorrectly then TaxSlayer will be sure to tell you exactly what is incorrect and even give you steps and little tips here and there.

Though TaxSlayer does make filing quick and easy, you pay a hefty fee to file through them. It used to cheap, now it's costing me over $100 for a simple filing for Federal and State. They need to lower the costs for their services.

Had my refund rejected five times. At the end it says "we noticed a few problems with your return" after the fact it's been sent out... Why can't you tell me the problems before I waste my time. Now they took away my option to file and go which pays after I'm accepted by the IRS. I'm not going to pay first just so it can be rejected again. Total waste of two whole days trying for nothing. Don't waste your time

Update: I was able to log on (doesn't accept autofill) and see all of my info easily. Biometric log on available, but even after selecting it and signing out, the option isn't available once you log on again.

This app needs an overhaul. Every time my screen flips, it logs me out. Every time I go to a different app while using this one, i get logged out and must restart what i was working on. Such a pain.

Native app is working for me. Pixel 6 Pro on wifi. Does not auto input my username/password. Received 500 error. Could not begin process to change password from too many login attempts. We through mobile website to create new password. Went back to app and it recognized my new password but received 500 error.

I used to use TurboTax for years. Tried something different this year. And compared to TurboTax, my projected federal refund is two times the amount.

Welllll I'm not sure what the issue is but you can't log in. I'm wondering if TS just haven't launched the tax year or something yet because it's still January? Or they need to do an update or something. I guess I'll be using the website instead. Bummer that's disappointing. Maybe the app is trash considering the reviews.

I used this app because I wasn't able to go back and correct something on turbo tax! Very happy I did because my return amount was way more than what it would have been if I would've used turbo tax! Will definetely be using tax slayer from now on!!!!!! Thumbs up fershure!
