It's a top security issue, after sending confirmation email. Waiting on request or not to be able to log in on desctop. Obviously even desctop web ain't adjusted yet. However the verified icon by Google makes me quite ok. Not only that, but I really like the fact that TD Ameritrade cares about the security, not the perfect release or marketing of a very important app. Keep up the good work!
Not working at all. It doesn't grant approval to the account even after clicking approve button. After I reinstall the app, it doesn't even send approval confirmation when I trying to log in to this authenticator. In short, I got locked out from this so called authenticator app, how ironic it is.
Thought reinstalling might make it work, it's totally a blank now. Got a "this site can't be reached" error message. It's made my account really secure, so much so that even I can't access it.
After going through all the processes to get accepted, I end up getting endless cannot log in please try again later. Contact them for 2 weeks yet still no reply.
Worked like a charm. Felt a need to write a review after reading all the negative opinions. You can only use the authenticator on ONE device. Once you have downloaded the thinkorswim app and logged on to your account, if you had selected two factor authentication, then signing into the device with the authenticator will bind that device to your account. The TD Ameritrade system is probably more secure than SMS or email based 2FA.
Super bad experience! Can't sign in even when I approve on this authenticator! After uninstall, and reinstall, data was gone now I can't sign in to my account, any idea how can I sign in again? Email is taking too long to reply, and phone call requires 40 mins waiting time.... Please help....
What a joke. TOS cannot do a simple update they have to add some nonfunctioning app that will require a 45 min call to their IT people. Doesn't matter I have had my account for 10 years and put in countless deposits over the years. Way to show customer appreciation.
Simply bad, it's going in a circle prompting me to login then approve via authenticator... This problem can only be resolved by giving a call to Amtd customer service, by the way, from the tone of your customer service, they are likely overloaded with calls.
Terribly designed app. Login journey into ameritrade does not work at all. After resetting my phone needed to reinstall the authenticator app. The setup of the authenticator app requires a 2FA login authentication from the app which is no longer available.
The app is not functioning. I can't login to TOS desktop even after I approved the authenticator. Please help to improve. Getting frustrated. Thanks.
If they are binding this "authenticator" to one device only. Then you are screwed if your phone breaks, gets stolen or replaced. This is NOT how 2fa is supposed to work. Now they are forcing people with their hardware tokens to use this app instead.
I installed the TD Ameritrade 2FA app. I entered my username and password. My account opened. I DIDN'T RECEIVE A NOTIFICATION FROM THE APP WITH A SPECIAL PIN NUMBER. NOTHING. I LOGGED OFF. I THEN LOGGED BACK INTO MY TD AMERITRADE ACCOUNT. SAME THING HAPPENED. I WENT STRAIGHT INTO MY ACCOUNT. THE DEVELOPERS OF THE TD AMERITRADE 2FA APP MUST BE LAUGHING AT HOW THEY ARE STEALING MONEY. CREATE A USELESS APP AND TD AMERITRADE IS STILL PAYING THEM. ZERO STARS!
Horrible app. Tried several times to log in via authenticator but authenticator cannot log in by itself after I changed a phone. Don't even have other methods like security code via msg or email to log in. PLEASE FIX THIS .
Fail to login on desktop or mobile phone devices using this app. Totally, i cant trade at all. Now, i am losing money due market panic. TOS send advice letter and request close my position or i will bar from trading.
Loaded in a Samsung Galaxy S8 and it is so far working flawlessly. From the very first login on my PC I was able to approve it on my phone. Exactly what I wanted.
Not working, the request often doesn't appear or if it does, it turns error after I click approve. Please fix this!
I used to download this on an old phone. Now I changed phone and I cannot log in to the authenticator itself, this is really dumb.
Stops at a certain %. Have been trying to download this dumb app the last one hour to complete my application. It just does not get downloaded.
How do I disable this app? I have selected "no" for my 2 step verification in my account, however, I still had to verify via td authenticator app when I log into my account. Please help
Absolutely terrible. It kept showing connection error. I can't get into my account.
The authenticator is asking me to use the authenticator to login. Its like a running in circles. Terrible!
The authenticator is binded with the TOS app, creating a more secure, verifiable line, no issue whatsoever.
This TDA Authenticator App is a big disappointment to TDA users. It is not being tested thoroughly before launching it. It sure adds another layer of insecurity and inconvenience to users.
Authenticator does not work 95 % or the time. I deleted it in order to reinstall and it will now not reinstall.

Dropdown notification "approve" function does not work, fix it, else don't use the dropdown notification
Couldn't login to my account despite approving on my authenticator app. If you have the same issue, please call customer service directly. Don't bother emailing them. Problem solved in less than a minute. But waiting for the call to go through was long (almost 15 mins in my case)
