Teach Yourself Library

The app works smoothly and is fairly easy to navigate. It gives an option to continue your last book when you open app but your library should be available on the home screen. If you work from the book it is easy to find the excercise number and you can skip, pause and go back. While it is great that you can exit the app or lock your phone and the audio still plays, it goes back to the start of the audio once you go back into the app. If this could be fixed, it would be a very good app.

Very rudimentary and hard to navigate. There's no way to save or access your books, you literally have to look it up in the search box every time. The audio isn't organized by chapters, you have to scroll through the entire playlist to find what you need. No way to mark anything complete or easily find where you left off. This app feels like an afterthought.

I like the way the lessons are put together in these TY series books, and have an older book of Teach Yourself Thai, but I am unable to get hold of the audio for it to help me along the way. (I am doing the best I can without it.) I came across this app in the hope of getting it, but only found a later/more up to date audio version, Complete Thai. Unfortunately there is no book download available with it, so it's "Incomplete Thai" for me again. Now I have a recent audio version with no book, and an older book with no audio. That makes learning a bit awkward as the 2 courses have slightly different lesson scenarios.

What happen to the original companion apps, bought book with CD with app to go with it, like the complete Spanish. Old app no longer works just searches for files to download. And installing this app to try sort it, it just wants you to pay again for it again. Extremely disappointing.

All was good when I first downloaded the app. Downloaded my book fine and some chapters (why download the book and then chapters though? The double download makes no sense). Then I didn't use the app for a while and when. I went back to it the chapters had been deleted and wouldn't let me download again. I deleted the book and it wouldn't let me downloaded it again. so had to uninstall the app and reinstall it which did the trick. Please make the app so we don't have to reinstall it every month!

I'm using this app for the accompanying audio to Complete Estonian and am having a fantastic, smooth experience so far. Very easy to download the audio and navigate. I'd recommend this app to anyone with the accompanying books!

Would not consider this a learning app at all. Most of it is just a list of other Teach Yourself books available to buy. I purchased the hard copy of Teach Yourself Spanish. The book says to download the companion app for 'learning on the go'. Please tell me where that learning app is, because I sure don't see it anywhere here.

Same experience as others have described: Downloaded and installed, attempted to open, got a blank screen. The lack of response on the part of the author is a big red flag waving, IMO. I uninstalled the app.

In the ebooks, whenever you press the play button for audio in the embedded player it scrolls to the left. Noticed this in complete german ebook. Should be the same issue with other ebooks as well. Kindly address this. Will update the review if i get a positive response.

After loading issues and various other problems, version 1.1 of my Italian book finally works. The audio controls are still not perfect but work much better now.

Helpful, but if you add all the mathematics-related knowledge, I'd love it even more. Also, I need to improve my skills in physics so, if you could also add all physics-related knowledge 🤗.

I downloaded this app after purchasing the Complete Italian: Teach Yourself book and CDs. It says Complete Italian is on the app. But it isn't there at all. This needs fixing. Otherwise it will remain at 1 star.

I can't even get by the first page, the instructional voice is talking over the author's introduction. I have reloaded many times and the same thing happens. Disappointed!

Poor performance, had to reinstall, it has deleted downloaded audio more than once. Why can't we just have mp3 files instead of an app with our forty pound language book.

I used to like this app, but now the playback pauses every 30 seconds when my phone screen locks. Why doesn't it keep playing in the background? Very irritating.

App for Complete German seems to be just the audio (available on TY website) & a vocab list. Book claims app has other features - or perhaps previous, better, app no longer available.

Can't open the books in my library. I instead get a blank screen. Crashes frequently when trying to go to settings and other places.

Very bad app. I tried with Complete Italian and the screen becomes white or the app just closes. It was impossible to hear any audios

I bought the book in Waterstones UK and it states free audio and app. Downloaded the app and it wants me to pay again!!! What a rip off.

The app does not work, a blank page appears once you try to open it, the authors need to respond as it is too bad to see a potential success go bad like this.
