It's loading time is slow and when it does load it constantly gives me an error.

The app was working great on my previous phone. When I got my new phone and apps were transferred over automatically, it stopped working. I reached out and after a few days of back and forth support I had a zoom meeting with 3 people from talking points. Together they were able to figure out the issue and are now working on a broader fix so others hopefully don't run into this same frustrating issue.

I figured out that you can send PDFs using this app from the computer. My favorite thing so far is that parents don't have to sign up or download anything for this to work just like regular text messages. I just make sure to tell them it's really me (even though they can't call; it's just text). I also like the option of pressing "send" once and it goes to everyone I choose. It offers a lot for a free app and I'm sure it'll get better with the technology world thriving nowadays.

UPDATE: I fixed the issue myself. For some reason the permissions were automatically turned off after updating. You need to turn them back on in order for the app to work. Was fine now I only get a white screen. I have reached out to customer support and was only told it would get forwarded to texh support. I will be forced to cancel this app for my classroom.

Manually create classes and contacts list. It is arranged by student name. Translates automatically as advertised. It works well! Only dislike is that I cannot menu my contact list for easy editing. I have to enter a message screen, tap the contact from there, and then can tap an edit icon. Would be awesome if i could edit contacts from a menu.

Talking Points has helped me communicate with my students and families in a more modern way. I'm having interactions with families I was unable to reach last semester.

I used this app last year and had great luck in increasing parent engagement. The past few weeks however, the app has crashed everytime I open it on my phone. I have Uninstaller and re-installed 3 times....no luck. I only have access to my messages if I am on a computer. SO disappointing!

This helps my job a lot. However having a 200 student maximum means I cannot text all of my students and end up removing a students to include more kids on the edge. Some things in the alphabitizing is a pain and uploading them takes a lot of time. It is language fluid so parents can opt for their language. And you can mass send messages and announcements.

This app is not nearly as useful as Remind - which does similar things. Two things that bug me about this app: (1). When you get a message, it doesn't include the parent's name with the message. You only see "parent" or "mother" or "father." So you can't reply with a personal greeting. (2). In the app, you can see notifications that you HAVE a message, but you can't easily SEE the message. You oftentimes have to scroll through your entire class to find the new message.

I've been using for the past 3 months and all of a sudden today it isn't working. It keeps shutting down. I deleted and installed again and its doing the same thing. This is frustrating because I rely on this app to connect with my parents who are all Non English speaking. I'm soo bummed😔

The app was not working so I left a message here earlier. I received a message about how to fix the problem from the app owner within an hour, and I can use it again. Best app and they work extremely efficient! I'm very impressed! I would give it a 6-star rating if I could. Thank you for such a wonderful app and effective supports! You guys rock!

This is a must have for teachers. The translation function of this app has opened a whole new dimension for parent teacher communication. I love that I can send individual messages or group/class announcements. Parents are also granted 24 hour access to teachers without the teacher having to reveal any personal information. Responses can be sent quickly from phone or computer. Finally something that is easy to learn. i miss the old way of selecting students for smaller group messages.

Thanks for your help was getting the app going... It was so simple once I got a response from customer service. I enjoy using both the online version and the app to stay in contact with my students. It is a great tool, and very easy to use!

This doesn't work. I created a teacher account and tried to setup a demo parent account with one of my cell phones. I received the SMS and was able to create an account, but never received any of the messages that I sent. I specifically used my prepaid phone because most of the students and parents that I interact with do not have an annual contract with their telecom; so, I suppose that may have something to do with it. Either way, it is useless for my purposes.

I used this app last year and it was great but this year I cannot get it to load, when I open it the screen is just blank. I have tried un installing and then re installing as well as restarting my phone.

I never leave reviews, but this app absolutely deserves a 5-star review! I am an EL teacher, and this app has allowed me to communicate effectively with my students' families who do not speak English. There is even a feature for a human translator to review messages if the translation was poor due to grammar issues or mixing of languages. I love this app!

so useful: an easy way to communicate quickly and efficiently. especially helpful when parent does not speak English. App automatically translates to and from desired language so everyone can communicate in his/her preferred language. phone to phone access is key...w/o parents knowing your number!

Overall love this app but was disappointed with it crashing at least once every time I used it. Now, I've gotten a new phone and cannot get the app to load. I don't want to lose all my contacts stored in it! How can I retrieve app my info??

It's not allowing me to log in with my Google account on my phone I didn't have this problem in August but now that I have a new email it won't allow me to log in with the new email

I used this for the first time 20-21...best way to keep in touch with parents. However this year, I'm having to use my laptop because the app isn't loading. I hope it's fixed because I like to share pictures of students working from my phone. I do love Talking Points....please fix app for androids!

Great app too keep in touch with parents. I used to use Remind, it had a glitch that would sometimes send my messages to the wrong recipients. No such issue with Talking Points.

It is great for talking to parents, they appreciate it. But, not sure how well it translates, I get some weird translations back. I usually figure it out but not sure that I'm getting everything parent is saying.

I loved this from August til Dec. Now, all I have is a white screen on the app and am missing all of the parents messages until I get check them on my laptop. I've tried uninstalling it and installing it again and same thing. Just a white screen. What happened over Thanksgiving break to the app?

Great for communication with multi- languages

I love this resource for my student's parents that don't speak English at home. I wish that the class announcement feature did not have a limit for characters. often I have to send multiple messages which can get confusing for parents.

Like many others, I have a new phone and now I can't use the app. I get a white screen every time I open the app. This is very disappointing. I now have to reach out to patents through the computer. This is certainly not convenient in the middle of instruction. Thank you for reaching out and telling me how to correct this problem.

I use this almost daily as I teach English Learners and have multiple languages spoken at home. This is a great way to keep parents informed and help them communicate with me without feeling overwhelmed and lost. I love this app!

My app won't open on my android. I have to go in on my desktop/laptop. Not cool!!! I was contacted after I placed my review and received a successful fix. Thank you!

Great app, however I don't like the fact that it tries to force you into an upgrade that I didn't want. It also tried to force me to send an email to my admin as an advertisement.

I love this app because it allows me to communicate with my parents instantaneously. It also translates whatever I type into their home language and when they type to me, it translate it back into English.
