Update 29/4 App now constantly crashes making it unusable! A few glitches here and there, but the dev team seem quick to fix issues when raised with them.
Wish we had , had this app years ago , making it much easier to run our team , only down fall is we can't put our scores in as it only takes 2 digits, we play rounders
The chat with real time live humans is super useful. Rest of the app is a bit tricky in places (not always obvious what button to click), but it does do the job, and quite well overall.
I'm surprised by the number of negative views of this app. Having switched over from Pitchero this year, many of our members have commented on how much more user friendly it is. It has it's faults like all apps of this nature, but on the whole it has been great for our club. One issue is that clicking on a notification doesn't direct you to the message or alert concerned, just opens the app - people have found it hard to find the corresponding message. I'd have thought it would be an easy fix.
I think designed as multi platform/multi OS? But I could make a list of problems. Slow to respond; poor design and not intuitive to use; doesn't behave like other (high quality) apps, for example the 'back' button doesn't work; often says the wrong number of unread chats when I have none; chat is often not synced and won't sync manually; notifications don't open the app in context of the message. Overall really not a fun experience. Often unstable. Otherwise great. :(
No problems so far, good communication and honest replies. Open to suggestion/views.Team members like it but not tested in the field. I am a little concerned regarding taking payments but haven't set it up yet on instructions of the treasurer. As a management tool I find it more than adequate and allows a one stop location for membership records. All in all I would recommend it.
While the idea behind this app is good the execution of app is literally terrible. The app is a horrible and buggy experience. Nothing ever loads. When you change anything in the app it's 50/50 chance that it will save or not. Chats don't send which can be very disruptive and leave people upset when they don't get selected etc without any communications!
Here we are 7 months on since previous review and there is no improvement. If anything the android user experience has got worse. The app is forever trying to reconnect despite strong signal, unable to see updates even though there is an indicator showing new updates, unable to open notifications and yet my son's hockey club continues to use it. Please don't tell me to make sure I'm using the latest version as I have re-installed the app numerous times in the last few weeks
Doesn't work well on android devices. I have to use 3 device to use Teamo, it works well on a computer using a web browser. When I am at home I use it on an ipad because it works faster on that than my phone. When I have to use it at matches I have no choice but to use teamo on my phone. Then it is deadly slow, if it will load. I often get asked to complete my profile, which I have done more times than I can remember this season. It can take 15 minutes to get to the team sheet.
So slow that it can't function. For example when I select calendar it takes over a minute to load and won't register me clicking to change my availability. Have already uninstalled and reinstalled with no improvement. Not sure how I'll be able to get through a whole season with an app this poor.
Great App concept! Can be upgraded massively to make transitioning through options and menus. Also the main club information can be awkward to access. I would recommend this app to any sports clubs looking for a selection/track and trace system. I expect in a few months this review will be 5*
Both parents followed all instructions to create an account linked to our daughter. So we ended up with two different accounts... asking for double payments and even different training times. It is impossible to delete an account which is linked to a telephone number. Also, the app works with symbols and initials without legend. So if your initials are the same as your child's then you can forget about finding your way around. Absolute rubbish!Please give me a simple table with training times!
Promises so much, but it's very buggy. The app support are responsive to feedback, and I think there's great potential, but there are too many issues currently that would make it unreliable and frustrating for everyday use in our teams.
Unstable platform. Despite having 4G and 3 out of 4 reception bars the app would not maintain a stable connection and was constantly attempting to reconnect. Not looking great if you're in an area where there's less than absolute 100‰ perfect signal.
Probably the worst app on my phone, but no choice because it's what the club uses. I get tantalising previews of messages but clicking on then takes me to an irrelevant calendar appointment. Every update seems to introduce new bugs. I hate this app Anne so does every other user I know!
It's slow, constantly connects, syncs and disconnects. The buttons are unresponsive. I can see there's a team update but not the details, I can't say whether I can make a match or not.
Really bad app. Gets pretty much everything wrong - from design, to settings, usability ... It's a compete disaster zone. Almost a paradigm on exactly how not to build an app. But: my son's football team uses it, so I'm stuck with it.
App is slow and keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Often have to restart to get it to work. Not easy to navigate and use as it's so unreliable. Seems other people have the same problems on Android
my club uses this app but i cant log in on my phone. i have had code sent through, i put the code in but it just crashes as soon as i put this in. i am ysing an android device. this is going to cause so many problems for the upcoming season. get this fixed soon so i can keep up todate with everything thays happening at tje club.
Update: issue now seems to have been fixed by new version, thank you to the development team for quickly identifying the issue and fixing. I'm not sure whether it is because I am not familiar with the app but I still seem to have a white screen on the chat page. I know I should only be able to see chat from when I joined the team but I seem to have a cut off message with a white screen, will email details
A good idea but just too clunky. Also dont like that there is one touch payment from my stored card with no authentication. Should require security code or fingerprint to confirm Review revised 12/2/21 Money was taken from my account without authorisation by this app. I had no debit set up, and had not clicked on the make payment button.
Frustrating. Has anyone found a team management system that works. And I don't want to keep being asked if we've won! Wanted to edit review to zero stars but it won't let me. Keep having to reinstall to update new members. And it doesn't appear in Play Store. Even worse on a laptop.
Mainly use website interface and on iOS but also occasionally test on android to ensure all of my club members can access it ok. Great features & support team feedback generally in a day or two to answer questions, fix bugs & consider change requests. Early days for me but loving it so far as a club manager even though the app UX could be improved.
Good idea but poorly executed. The app is full of bugs and I regularly have major issues with the fixture attendance features and thr chat is just completely broken. Using WhatsApp was easier! If they can fix the bugs it would be a good little app.
Freezes almost every time I open the app and is forever slow. Only positive is the payments side of things is good and makes payments for games very easy. A good idea that needs a lot of work.
I am still getting notifications after disabling them. When I edit details they are not updated on the dashboard and you have to click on the event and go in to it to see the changes.
Need to fix it for Android it seems. I'm using Samsung S9 with the latest One UI update available in UK. The Teamo app just keeps throwing exceptions such as registration error and doesn't let me see anything.
Edit** app updated 23/3/19 bug seems to be fixed and app appears to be stable. well recommended. * original post - looks really good - but it only keeps me logged in for up to 12 hrs - 4th install in 48hrs - but if they fix it it will be excellent.
I'm sorry this app is awful on android. Crashing not syncing clunky the list goes on. When is an updatr coming to fix it all. I cant select availability due to reconnecting or erroring constantly. When i select an availability it hangs for ages.
The concept of the app and what it tries to achieve is great but the execution is lacking. You could do with recruiting technical staff specifically for app design or maybe even just pay a fee for somebody to overhaul the software and solve the bugs. For example, somebody has just replied to my message on a chat but the chat won't let me scroll down far enough to read the message. Why have a chat feature if you can't read messages.. Happy to upgrade my review to 5 stars if glitches are resolved
