This app doesn't work. All I get is blank white screen. I tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall, still nothing. When I went online to access profile and I tried to sync with my calendar the events all appeared 5 or 6 times and I had to manually delete multiple events. Please fix these issues and make compatibile with Android devices!
This app is horrible on Android. I have to use it for the team I coach and it has been a constant headache. I have to uninstall and reinstall every couple of days just to view messages. I get zero notifications when players send messages. The app won't let me post to the feed and just says "try again later". It continues to crash every time I try to use it. Would be nice if the developers did anything to make this app work on android.
It was good. Now I go to Standings and it goes landscape mode and there is way to stop it! A decent app is now average. UPDATE: I have since deletd the app. Too frustrating. It worked well . It was a lot of steps and redirecting to find what you want but it worked before. It got worse. Ill just go to the website from now on. Its not much better but it doesn't get sruck sideways!
While it is easy to use, the app fails to understand how football statistics fully work. There is no way to enter a negative yard total for any player despite it being an actual thing. There is also the same problem that exists with the website in that it doesn't know what a half-sack is and, despite there being a decimal in the number pad, won't let you input such a number. Apparently this is something that this app doesn't want to address? No, there is no negative yards option on Android. There isn't a negative button on the keypad. There are only numbers, a decimal, and a backspace button.
Has potential. I am not receiving notifications from the app (android) which I see is an ongoing issue from reading other reviews. Would like to see that fixed. I also do not understand why random chats were recently added by App admin. They are extremely frustrating as they take up space in the chat area, are unnecessary, and are unable to be deleted. I think any adult coach using the app should be perfectly capable of creating their own chat boxes; no need for App admin to create them for us.
I love the app, it will be my 2nd season using it but my coaches on the android format are not receiving notifications of messages going through the app. IOS users are fine. I did update the schedule today and notifications worked for that but not messages. Can this be fixed ? It worked fine last year. Thanks Mike
My son has a Galaxy A51 and after downloading, all he gets is a blank screen. There is nothing he can click on. We tried to update his profile online (height, weight etc), but after clicking "Save", nothing happens and nothing is updated. The app works on my phone (parent), but when I turn on calendar syncing (Google calendar), everything gets sent to my calendar 4, 5 or 6 times. I now have my whole calendar cluttered with the same events multiplied several times - which I have to remove manually. So far I am not liking this app at all...
After the last update it's been useless. App was posting to my MaxPreps page even when I select for team only. Not cool. Would no longer let me attach links either. Pre Season I was thinking this was the app for me. Now league is here and I'm back to texting because this app has totally flopped. Already contacted support multiple times, no answers or solutions after a delayed response.
Totally useless! I tried to connect with my daughter and her high school team and I couldn't. Teams app only allows the player to connect. The coach wants to use the app to communicate with players and parents but all the parents are having the same issue. Theres no technical support either.
The app does not allow to change seasons making it useless if your Maxpreps defaults into wrong season. Cannot even submit request, because the form has missing fields and does not load Captcha. Wait until they fix it, after that it may be a useful app.
Was unable to access my daughter's team because ("linked to another account"). This was unsurprising because my daughter shares two households (divorce), but many/most athletes will have similar situations. This alone was frustrating but the app would not process the "get help" page it directs you to. I was rejected twice, apparently because that page appears broken (loading links). Perhaps the coach or some app admin needs to link my account, but it doesn't generate positive reviews.
Force close, force close, force close, that's all I get. I was ok with the lag and the lack of notifications as Android has a work around for that. But now as it's equipment issue day and 2 days from the start of the season and I can't answer the many questions I'm getting from players and parents as all it does for me is force close..... I left a perfectly function app for this....[I see the responds about an update but 6 mins to midnight no fix and I'm forced to use another chat to comunicate]
Doesn't work half the time. Doesn't sync to desktop computer. When Calendar does sync it repeats the same event several times. Can't updat athlete profile. Alerts are usually 5-8 hrs after they are sent.
Push notification wont show up anymore and there is no option for it. So i have to check the app every so often. Its kind of an inconvenience. Yes its still an issue and now it erased all my players and chats...
Would have given a five of the setup was easier. Entering scores is fine but correcting or editing is a bit tricky. Also the messaging part does not send notifications
Worked great until the update on 8/8/19. Now the app crashes when trying to view chat. I have tried clearing cache, clearing data, uninstall reboot then install nothing seems to fix the issue.
Having issues with the App. Can't do or update anything. I keep getting this error..."The remote name could not be resolved" then it has a long URL....???
Navigation is not the easiest. Can't add player of the match from app. Otherwise it's a perfect app to link to the website.
Like this app, as it ties in to Maxpreps website. Would be awesome to have admin access & more control of app via web. Bulk actions would also help (loading rosters). Set up our Fresh., JV and Varsity teams, but it looks like there's no way to make an "all" in chat (a group of all parents or all players). Would also like option to email groups & "all." Could have a single password for "insiders" (let them select from our 3 teams), and a "fan" login. Calendar items should be able to apply to all.
It has duplicated every event about 10 times. I have removed the app I even deleted my calendar from my phone and when I reinstall my google calendar the MaxPreps Calendar is still therr! I can't get rid if it!
I log into my account and then nothing shows up. After countless reinstalls, the same thing continues to happen. It has gotten fixed once I contacted the staff.
The app was great until the latest update on 8-8-19. After the update when you click the chat the app closes. I tried reinstalling, but no luck getting it to work.
Just starting off using it for the first time as a way to communicate (calendars, stats, notifications, etc) with players and parents. Would be 5 Stars if there were better instructions on how to set up the app.
Everytime I try getting onto my group chat, it says that I have no messages even though a notification on my phone says I have a message from the group chat. Then it pops up that I do have messages but I can't access them. Also when I try to get into the group and tap on it, it says this group has been deleted.
Phenomenal on every level. Team management, stats, ranks, communication, everything!! User friendly and easy on the go!!
I can't claim my athlete on the app. Instead I get the message "This athlete is associated with an account other than yours." I have filled out a get help requested multiple times with no response. I would really like to get this resolved before the season is over.
I cannot get this app to notify me when there is messages from my team. Very hard to communicate when you do not know when parents or players are sending messages. I have installed and reinstalled several times. Any advice ?
So far, so good. I had some troubles with it last year, but so far this year it is working smoothly. Much easier, faster way to communicate and add scores, stats and video
This app doesn't work properly on an Android. I've reached out multiple times for help, and still no response. Super frustrating.
Media downloads in chats fail, but only on Android. The dev needs to step it up. Those same downloads work fine on iOS. Leaving a partially typed message unfinished will delete the message if you have to leave the chat interface. This is uncharacteristic behavior for Android apps. The announcements offer no way to reply to the sender. One-way communication only. This is less than optimal, even for an announcement.
