This app avoids using data transfer, and that's good for being on the move. Instead, you download the dictionaries you want once. However, similarly spelt words do not appear in this app nor in the Android compatible teanglann website. They appear in the Windows and Linux compatible websites. This is essential for a language with as many spelling variations as Irish Gaelic.

I love the website. Use it daily while studying. The app, however, is very buggy. On three different devices now, many or most of the words that should be clickable links are not, and the audio does not play for any word in any dialect.

Fantastic reference! My only suggestions would be: 1) Enable the app to open teanglann.ie links (I frequently use Anki flashcards that have links to the site, and it would be nice to have them route to the app). Teanglann is so awesome that when studying other languages, I frequently find myself wishing for "Teanglann, but for ". Teanglann allows Irish to punch *way* out of its weight class as a minority language when it comes to reference material.

Extremely useful and full featured dictionary resource, with examples from every day and complete grammar, plus pronunciation for most words by native speakers. if you are learning Irish or even if you just love dictionaries, get this app!!

Love the website. Grammar database especially useful, but was disappointed to find I can't choose to download dictionaries to my sd card, don't have enough internal storage so had to delete the app and continue using website

Go to settings and enable developer options. Scroll down to the bottom and enable force allow app on external. Now you can move it to your sd card. Best dictionary out there besides it taking up so much space lol. Sláinte!

Very, very helpful in explaining much about Irish grammar and rules and for looking up whatever confuses you. Words are explained and it's the resource I go to the most for understanding the Irish language.

While the app is great, could I request one tiny, little fix? Rather than the app icon's title being all uppercase in the launcher ("TEANGLANN"), could it be made mixed-case ("Teanglann") so the "N" doesn't get chopped off the end awkwardly?

Update didn't fix this major limitation. Would be greatly improved if you'd allow moving the huge data file to external storage

The app only opens with the word of the day. After downloading one dictionary it only opens to the menu and that's it. :-(

In search results can't scroll through all the results, only the first page (June 2018).

Basically it was working fine until today when it just isn't opening and just tells me the app isn't connecting to the server even though my wifi and everything is alright. Please fix it omg I have November exams!

entries appear very quickly, but I'm finding scrolling through long entries to be very slow, jerky

Fantastic app. Has an annoying bug that doesn't let me scroll to the bottom of the search matches. Rarely do I get pat matches beginning with f or g.

Amy. O. B. Nov 20, 2017

Crashing every time I try to type in the search bar - unusable!

Ric. O. May 17, 2018

Good app, but a major problem is that it is taking up nearly 1GB of space on my device and won't allow me to store on an SD card.
