I can log into the phone's browser but cannot log into the app it will not even tell you it's a wrong password but just refreshes you to the same page and nothing happens.. With IT jobs they post, the apps fails..
painful to use. Has no way to return to search after applying to a job. Has no way to save a search. Web site is much better. With the Dec 1, 2020 update crashes on applying to a job or trying to update profile.
I uninstalled this app after about 30 minutes of use. Then a co-worker encouraged me to try again. i uninstalled again after another 30 minutes of trying. The amount of things wrong with the app is baffling to me. The app doesn't seem to save data correctly (so spend time entering in data for your profile and it then go back in and it's all gone). You can't upload resume from phone. User interface has bugs. Save yourself the time use a different app.
Fairly good. Job options are there, but the accessibility is what is key. Easy to apply and look up new positions.
If you are going to push website traffic to your app, make it work! App crashes when I click "apply to job" on every listing. Also, one company I found through a listed position was, after my own follow up, a scam for my personal information.
I like this app but I see that I may need to further my education to land one of these good paying carriers. I'm just starting out but this helps me to understand what I need to do to progress and succeed 🙂
I get more opportunities through Dice than other sites. Unfortunately, they are almost exclusively contract positions. I would like to see more full-time opportunities. Also, I want to restrict my searches only to NYC but the smallest surrounding area I can select is 20 miles. I get lots of junk nowhere near my home. Please add option for 5 or even 3 miles. People in cities often use public transportation only. I get tons of calls from very questionable "recruiters" outside US using US phone #'s.
it's good if you're looking for a tech job. however, this app is terrible at filtering out jobs. for example you can't filter by date of the job posted. if you live in a big city it'll shoot out thousands and thousands of old jobs. It's so bad it takes away from the rest of the app. please update your UI for job searches. Please add a more detailed filtering system so I dont have to scroll through thousands of old jobs.
I like Dice but this I need a proper tablet app. If you try this on Android tablets/Chromebook it will not work because everything is sideways. Always develope for tablets because tablet is backwards compatible but Mobile is not unless it's Apple.
Downloaded and just getting constant errors. I'm unable to complete my profile, add ideal jobs etc. Unable to use app as is
Dice has been and will continue to be one of the best places for targeted tech jobs, the app is solid and a perfect addition to a job seeker's arsenal.
Not that good. Not able to make resume public for view. Always an error when trying to make visible. Can only upload one resume at a time. One replaces the other and you have multiple jobs applying for. Uploading a edited resume, wipes out your current fields of info and you have to fill them out again.
Sorry an error occurred. Please try again later. Is displayed once downloading the app to my cell phone. Needs an update asap. My phone is a LG v60 thinq.
Very buggy and overall a complete waste of time. I won't mention alternatives because I'm not trying to promote anything, but there are other job apps that actually get you responses and interviews and have a better UX. App is overall not user friendly (didnt like the resume uploader, lots of missing search functionality)
Update: I am now able to connect. Can't get logged in. Provide credentials, it spins and stops. Will not go any further. Downloaded the app hoping to edit profile that I'm unable to save from the website. Not a good first impression.
Ridiculous file size limitation on resume. My .pdf resume/portfolio is nearly 10mb with no way to reduce it. Please change it to 20mb so that creative professionals with large resumes can look for work. Also, your user interface is absolute garbage, especially the add/remove skills section. You should be able to adjust the years of experience, the last year used, and remove skills, all from one screen. You should be able to look for virtual jobs as well.
Much more tailored to those looking for positions in some sort of tech career, including more than "I've seen this technology before! Put it on my profile!" And advising on how to grow your skill set to net more attention, higher salary, etc. It has so far been more preferable to use from mobile than LinkedIn job searches.
The website itself is great, but the app won't let me login. When I got login with existing account, it loads for a while then stops loading and nothing changes. Redownload the app and can't find any solutions.
It is a well designed application that ease the process of job search. Using a well defined recommendation system, job seeker receive job alert that are related to their skill set.
I wish there was the ability to filter out head hunter postings. Also, sorting based on experience level for each posting would be helpful. Good mix of jobs and easy to use so 4 stars.
Doesn't care at all about salary preferences you input in your profile. Just seems to show random jobs.
This app is awful for job seekers. You can't search effectively, you can't go back to your search results after applying instead you have to start over. Just a bad app all around. I can't say the competition is any better either.
Generally like a "lite" version of the website...unlike website, doesn't return to search-terms page you set after you apply (with website on laptop, I use new tabs for each job link -- which doesn't work even through browser on mobile, let alone via app)...also totally fails if you need to apply through external website (such as MyWorkday, ICIMS). Ok as "doorstop"...use to apply when only mobile is available.
Searches are filled with what you've applied too already. There's no way to return to your search after applying, and you can't report anything if the job is a scam. The interface is clunky, the website is much better.
