New update has done all sorts of things that aren't applicable to my plain white bulb. The main reason for me getting in touch is that the timer function no longer works as in when you try to select your device, nothing happens

Hi, there's some kind of a problem when I'm trying to link my Google Assistant with Techlife. After the username and password screen I get a message Can't connect to tech life, try again later. I'm doing all the correct steps.

The app is designed to control smart devices. Unfortunately, it fails to do so most of the time. It constantly looses connection with devices and requires hard reset of the device to reconnect. They also provide Alexa Skill which should integrate voice control, but the issue is that this skill doesn't work either due to some cloud server issues. One of my devices is constantly unresponsive for Alexa and even factory reset didn't help. So far, I had to constantly communicate with support.

Very badly programmed app. It can't tell if the light is actually on or off when you start it. There is a 50% chance that the app will say your light is on when it isn't. Therefore, automation often fails. The app also doesn't stay logged in when running in the background, and takes a really long time to log back in and reconnect with the light when you switch back to the app. There are a number of other issues too, but the character limit prevents me from listing them all.

I have used a lot of smart switches recently. But I have only one device that operates through TechLife Pro. That is a smart rgb led controller. I connected the device correctly and without much hassle. But everythime I close the app after a custom color setting, re-openning the app can't show that color setting on the app screen. But doing just On/Off will turn the led with last custom setting. This is very unfortunate. It would be great if they can immediately update their app to fix issue.

The app is really bad but it works. The trick is to turn off your mobile data. You should either be connected to your non 5g WiFi network or to the WiFi hotspot for the bulb but not your data. The first time you connect to the bulb WiFi hotspot, your phone will give you a prompt to confirm that you want to stay connected to the bulb. Say yes and check the 'don't ask me again' (if you get it). App keeps crashing if you connect to your data in the middle of installation. Good luck.

App worked about one day then it would not connect with the lights. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and got it to work for just over two weeks then it just stopped working again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app 12 times, changed my password and nothing. Simply over this problem. Follow up: After several more weeks and resetting each light dozens of times they began to work once again. It has been 8 days now and everything has been working, hoping it remains this way.

Overall the program works, when it works. Very slow to access and control lights. Some times the program will not let you log in, and leaves you with uncontrollable lights. Just left in the dark unless you want to manually turn them on and have third brightness level. You get what you pay for in this case!

Account will link with Amazon alexa but the Alexa app can't find the devices. Weirdly, even though the devices aren't listed, they do turn on (red) when I tell Alexa to turn on all my lights..... But that's the only way Alexa can do anything to them, and there's no way to not do it. After messing with them, I can tell Alexa to change the colour. They usually work... But they still don't show up under devices in the Alexa app. This app itself has very few features. Can't make your own program.

I would love to give this app 5 stars especially now that you can control the color spectrum on each bulb. However I am sick and tired of having to uninstall reinstall this app every single day just so I can use it. And even after doing that it still doesn't work everytime. Hence this rating, today I can log into the app but the app will not log into the servers according to the error message when it decides to show itself. Very tired of this frustration.

Got it to work eventually and I thought great , sadly the lights turns on when the app fails, so 4am is not fun, now I often can't even log into the app, or Google or alexa cannot communicate with the bulbs.. if the connections and the app worked 100% of the time it would be great.. I have even rebooted and 're downloaded everything.. don't waste your money

I wonder if i can rate 0 star. It was good in the beginning. But soon after, every devices added to techlife can't be reach. No matter how strong my internet are. Google home keep saying couldn't reach techlife. What is the point of having the smart bulb where i can control using a command but i keep on switching on/off the main switch to keep techlife connected to internet! Such a trash.

App works but is clunky. Google home integration not the best. Tell Google to turn a light on and it does it fine, but then says no response from techlife. Reducing to one star due to continuing Update 6/6/2020 Google assistant integration appears to be fixed. Techlife server was down overnight and is now back and working much better than before. Thanks guys.

Fcmila Smart bulb is awesome! As long as I remember to leave my internet on it works great! I just wish there were a way to turn it off red and it turn back on yellow. I want it to be soft dim light at night when it goes off and bright light when it comes back on.

Works but with issues .... when you open the app the device (a bulb in my case) is shown as ' on ' but it may not be on in reality....you must first refresh the device (bulb) icon for it to connect to the device.....i.e. it does not connect automatically....then it will still show as 'on' so to be sure if its really on you must turn it off and then on....also to set a timer on/off is easy but you are limited to about 6 timer settings ,the app works but it should show tge correct device status

I also bought few bulbs sand managed to set it up. However the timings never work. Schedule doesn't work in most cases. App quality and WiFi functions are mostly not working or reliable. Very disappointed and does not recommend people to buy it. Also bought a WiFi holder and that never connected.

App is very primitive, no IFTTT integration so far. Interface is very limited. I wish those lamps could connect to already existent SmartLife app, it would have been ideal. Having said that, basic operation of lamps works well.

Terrible interface and horrible integration with Google Assistant; service keeps disconnecting from time to time along with wrong info about the device status. Because of that last mention, the device keeps turning on by itself randomly.

Not even worth the 1 star. Not only did lights stop working with alexa within 24 hrs (said couldn't communicate with bulbs), they stopped working on app too. App constantly says lights could not be added then comes up with all set up only to not appear in app. Don't waste yr money unless you want to buy expensive bulbs that you still need to physically hit the switch. 24 hrs later and I'm ordering more from somewhere else

Works great for what it's designed to do and has cool options like controlling dimness or setting times beforehand for lights to turn on/off. The English is kind of bad though and the instructions are kind of confusing.

PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE AND UPDATE FOR PULSATING ORANGE!!! How can you overlook one of the most common colors for home use. Alao some customize options would be nice like set a style and then set whatever color or 2 or 3. Not only presets. Otherwise Good for the money and works with the PC 4pin connector.

Make sure there is no AP-TechLife AP on your WiFi AP list. Connect to the Access Point you use to connect to the internet. Plug in the bulb, turn on and follow the instructions. Connect to your usual Internet AP when asked. When the app auto connects to the APTechLife AP confirm to keep it connected. It will say connected within 20 seconds and you can control the light. For Alexa. Click on icon of person, 3rd party access, Alexa and follow instructions. Firmware update 3/1 fixed disconnect problems.

After today update it no longer works with google assistant. It worked perfectly until yesterday! What did you do ? Please fix it asap. I even try reseting one bulb to factory settings and now it no longer can be added to this app. I tried 4 times adding using the app instructions (with reset procedure that implies 6 times switch the light on/off to turn to sync mode blinking) the bulb blinks and then the app says unsuccessful and asks to try again. Did it 4 times :( not working. Pls help
