I use the desktop version of tabledit and I think it is the best tab player on the market. I've been using it for decades now and wouldn't switch to any other program. Although the tablet version of tabledit is scaled-down, I still find it very useful to practice songs when I'm away from my desk. I like having the greater portability with the tablet.
Frustration Just installed on a Chromebook and find the UI to be clunky. A "simple" operation like opening a file turns into an excercise in futility. Why does the program open the last file always...make an option to shut that off. What is the method for opening up a file on an external drive...right now I have to move the file to the "downloads" folder local to my chromebook the progam will not open it otherwise.
Horrible right now. I am using a galaxy Note 9 and all I every see when a file loads is a full page of whole rests. I have tried multiple TEF files from Banjo Hangout with no luck. if this could be fixed I would buy the full version. But without a way to test it out I don't think I will use it again. update. I got the app to work but had to switch mobile browsers. it doesn't seem to work with Chrome on a note 9. It will work with the Samsung browser though. would give it 5 stars if not for this
I like this app, and I have been able to learn multiple songs with ease especially with the playback capabilities it offers. I have already recommended this app to others. As for slowdowns it corruption issues I have encountered none, it's probably because your are using a stupid Chromebook and it's too busy using all the ram to share your information.
It used to work really well, but all of a sudden stopped playing files. Everything comes up blank. Ive tried downloading both the app and files over and over, but nothing seems to work. The same thing happened on my old phone, too.
It's very good for a free app with no ads. If you have time please add option to always keep screen on and maybe a back/next button. Sliding with the finger or with that seek bar is not very precise and moves more than one score page. Thanks.
Plays Tabledit files. Allows playback with different instrument voices and allows speed adjustment to playback at various our speeds. Great for learning a new piece at slower speed. Various print options if phone has a printer or save to .pdf
The help isn't always helpful. Stumbling around, I find enough of how to do things to make the app workable and worth spending time on it. But I do get frustrated at the lack of explanations.
Hello very good app easy to use and all but I've noticed an issue when i tried to open a photo or pdf it TEFview always appear as a choice not just for .gp5 or .tef ,its not really a problem but its disturbing. Pls consider this for becoming a flawless app
Absolutely Great App! So many tablature files types can be edited, played and so many functions as well! A must have application for any musician! An A++ and 5 stars for such a small app with so much!
Ive given 3 because i havent been given ample time befor being bombarded with request to rate. Really, no one is able to give a realistic rating for anything given the time all apps request. When i have time to really use this app i give a real rating so GIVE ME SOME TIME!!!!!!!
as described... sounds better than most paid... ad based alternatives... gp3 not playing well...but most of the newer formats... no problems... devs:great job... thanks for a nimble, to-the-point , fully functional app... am using samsung Note3 & samsung tab S2
Has simply stopped being able to open any tef files. It just comes up blank when the app launches. Disappointing.
Great tool for previewing and listening to tabs. It's MIDI only, but hey, it's free!
using on chromebook, leaves a little to be desired. files get corrupted and really slow. but its better than nothing
Does not work with some .tef files. They just fail to load. I thought perhaps it was some of my files. But it is like the wit 60-65% of them.
Very Nice App. Guitar Pro files can be easily opened here. Loved it. Thanks for such an amazing application.. Hope it will be more better and user friendly in future..
1 out of 10 files actually plays! And I tried a different browser...same thing, blank page! 😡 Several different sites.... no notes!
Very nice. Loads, displays, and plays my Tabledit banjo tablature on my Chromebook perfectly. Bonus: Zoom rearranges the tablature to fit.
Doesn't play .tef file I request, it just plays the last one opened. Close app multiple times and just plays last .tef file. Can't play anything new. This is on Moto g7 power. Works fine on Lenovo Tablet?
I would like to be able to select a certain number of notes to be repeated like when highlighted on the desktop version.
None of the tabs will load that I have downloaded for the g tuned banjo . I have found the app to be useless. I wish it wasn't it would sure be nice to have

Supplied tef files work. Dowloaded tefs not downloading correctly so not fault of app. Will have to try another source of download. Thank you for the supplied info.
Sorry me! It doesn't open a "Guitar Pro" files. Please fix major bug!!! My phone S8 [ S/V: Pie (9) ] .
It doesn't work at all for me. I did look at the file and it was a fully legit PDF but it still didn't work for me :(
This app loads in music notation files in MIDI and ABC format and displays a score with guitar tablature. You can play the file and alter the instruments and see what it sounds like. It is very good compared to many other free apps which do this. It works both on my Chromebook and my Samsung Galaxy Tab2. It is not a very big download and does not use a lot of memory on your device, which is good. If you get a mysterious clicking sound, it is the metronome! You can turn that off!
