Telecom Color Code Translator
All cable tech knows not every cable count in the field starts at 1. So, the app allows you to start the count at any number making it useful in many situations. Simple enter the starting pair number of the cable and the pair number you want to find and it will calculate and display the Pair Color, Binder Color, and Super Binder Color.
The app not only works with simple cable counts such as 1 – 600, but also mix cable count. For example, a 1,300 pair cable contains count 1 – 200, 601 – 900 and 2151
- 3000. This often happens when an engineer merges several cables into a single cable. It can be difficult to work with this type of cable because it takes a while to find a cable pair.
However, the Telecom Color Code app can provide the color code in a few second. Simple enter the starting pair and the end pair number of every count in the cable. Then, enter the pair number you want to find and it will calculate and display the Pair Color, Binder Color, and Super Binder Color.

This app was a waste of time. Not all cable counts start at 1. It wants me to pay 2 dollars to be able to be able to change my pair count to what I need. What happens if I pay that and it doesn't WORK? Wastes my time and I still have to do my pair count manually. At least have a few day demo option to test full app ability before making me pay for anything

It does what it says, not sure it's worth paying to see a cable pair greater than 200, but gotta make your money someplace. Wanted to double check a pair and binder and had to go to another app to get the pair I was wondering about (845) also note to the dev, adding super binder colors would be a good thing too.
I bought the telecom color code calculator app in the past and now got a new phone. Found out it was pulled from the play store so now I'm using this. I will not however be paying for any apps Colby Furniss puts out in the future and advise anyone reading this to do the same! Good app here regardless. Thanks for filling the void.
There was recently an update that added a rather long graphic when you start this app up. Annoying. Trying to swap color-to-number to number-to-color modes is not intuitive and takes too many button presses. Streamline the app please. When you're in a 600 pair pedestal and your hands are all goopy from that awful gooey insulation, the last thing you need is a difficult to use app. 3 stars because it free.
This was a no-brainer purchase! Absolutely invaluable for learning to count your colors. Only been in telecom for two years, and I reference this tool constantly. Great for learning, confirming, or just making things a lot easier. It's worth the purchase to support this project. The best two bucks I've ever spent.
