I had to update my review from a 5 star! It is getting really annoying. When I open telegram, it takes so long for it to open. So long for the videos, photos, gifs, etc. To appear and download. I have had many of this kind of apps such as whats app,imo, etc. Telegram is the best and is not comparable with any of those. It is also safe and secure. Thanks
Voice messages are played automatically in the group. Even when I try to send a new voice message, the app does not stop the previous message and integrates it into my voice message. This problem is really bad and troublesome. Please resolve the issue. .To be clear. I play a voice message in the group, the next voice messages are played automatically after it is finished, in case I have disabled auto-download in the program settings.
I've been facing a bug issue recently. The files download from telegram get deleted instantly. They're removed from the internal storage and end up wasting my internet data. Please fix it as soon as possible. Overall, it's a wonderful application. I'll give it 5 stars after this bug is resolved. Decreased one more star: the issue I mentioned earlier didn't get resolved. Also, I've been unable to login. The verification call doesn't work and didn't get the OTP despite requesting for it.
the app is really good and usefull and very easy to use... but.. after an update with quick reactions I keep accidentally double tapping on someone's message and that's pretty annoying.. so I wish I could turn off the double tap function. so you will be able to react to messages but only by message menu. that would be awesome!
I have had App installed for years and it worked fine and now it doesn't. Having trouble getting App to load on phone. It keeps asking for access to my contacts. I allow. Then it works with code. If I go to another use on phone and come back to App It wants me to verify phone again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Turned phone off and on and reloaded. Now it says I have too many attempts and says to try again later. Update: Problem solved.
Telegram is one of my favorite messaging app. It comes with so many special features that aren't available in other messaging applications. It is a great app. But I wish it supported the chat bubble feature. Then it would be more convenient me. I could use telegram while gaming or watching videos without pausing or directly going to the app.
Notification handling is unacceptably screwed up. I have pinned message notifications disabled within Telegram, but they still keep popping up anyway. So, I try to disable the offending notification in Android 11's built-in settings. It's always "Internal Notifications" plus notifications for one channel (that I don't want notifications for at all, especially pinned message ones) that keep getting turned back on by themselves. This is so annoying! Please fix this somehow.
The app just keep being in the connecting phase. Takes ages. Tried uninstalling and installing again, works just for a few hours and there it goes again especially when i went through an area with poor coverage. Its really frustrating. Been waiting for days for it to reconnect and be back to service, but it doesnt. Work this thing out!
So many bugs..... - When you send a video it displays a tiny tiny icon, hard to even tell what's in the video. While Whatsapp shows the full size preview. - Sometimes there's no preview picture at all. - Some posted pictures are tiny and cannot be enlarged. But if you save them and rename them, then it works. Is that some kind of a primitive censorship? - It adds unwanted captions to images and videos. No option to turn it off. - When two or more videos are grouped there's no way to share them
It an amazing social platform. Using telegram has been very helpful to me. The animations can be compared to iphone. The animations are amazing. But the problem i'm facing in telegram is is doesn't run in background. Which is very irritating at times. In order to download the large files i have to keep open the app. Other than this the app is very great. I could not help but give 3 stars for this problem.
Really practical and convenient app with loads of awesome functions! Messages are sent instantly, the abilities to edit coloration of background and install any pictures flatter individuality, lags absent. Thanks for all your works and efforts! It's worth it! Nevertheless, could you consider some kind of function allowing to prevent other users from sending you voice messages, please? In fact, I'm not the only one who gets annoyed and exhausted due to them. Thanks for your attention!
As many have already mentioned, a lot of the updates in the past months have actually worsen the experience of using the app. Small bugs became frequent in what was once a stable and concise app. Trying to replicate the features from other apps seems to be a mistake when what distinguishes yours is exactly being a compact app that does it job well. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.
The new "Downloads" section of the search system is amazing. When you play a video though it requires an external player. Could it be modified so that the "Recently downladed" can be treated as it's own gallery so that the video plays in-app and you can swipe between the recently downloaded videos as you go along. Finally, a "select all" option wherever items can be selected will be nice.
After the latest update, my video calls kept reconnecting every few minutes, the other side couldn't see me. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, turned off and on camera permission, nothing works. Oh, and when I tried to change the theme, it kept getting back to the default one. I switched to use another video call app, and it doesn't have those connection problem you have. I like Telegram. I don't wanna stop using it, but I need to see my loved one face through video calls.

This app would be really good, but for constant connection issues. Even when other apps connect just fine, Telegram endlessly says "connecting." Messages sometimes do not send for hours. Frequently, a notification will show up, but when the app is actually opened, the message does not show up. Seriously, this is the most basic functionality expected of a messaging app.
The video is the videos calls is usually pixelated. Whenever the contact sends a video separately it is perfectly clear. I tried to have deleted chats and videos restored but never received any kind of communication also the contact tried reaching out also with no response. This has lots of potential if things worked as expected.
Hello Thank you for your amazing application. Since you work hard everytime to make better updates, I wanted to suggest something too. For profile photos, the app has two options as: 'everybody' and 'My contacts' so if we choose any of these we set the fact that who can see our pfp I personally find it a little hard that it doesn't have a third option as 'Nobody', cause I want only a certain list of people (as exceptions) to be able to see my photos. I'd look forward to this feature. Thanks
I set smallest font on my phone and also in the telegram bubble chat. but in the telegram app only the chat bubble font are small the other aren't. so it feels weird and inconsistent. in my previous device it just work fine. but not in this one. hope to fix it soon. thx oh yeah, it also can't do custom theme also, in telegram cache, it only appeared as animated stickers and other cache. no pictures file and video cache. u think those three merged to other cache. so i can't delete specific file
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE DEVS 1. I would love if I had the ability to accept certain types of messages from all or from specific people in order to have a more focused an intentional experience, like accepting only text messages and not media. 2. Having the ability to create sections/topics for different part of conversations is crucial for any community. I hate Discord and I would love to use Telegram for more complicated groups and communities with many topics inside them, but right now I can't.
I used to love Telegram but after the latest update, it doesn't open! It keeps closing and even when I'm not using it suddenly the error notification of 'Telegram keeps stopping' popps up on my screen! Fix this please, if I try to delete and reinstall it again I will lose all of my data and I don't want that to happen.
