Unusable. The app has so many fields which don't populate. Unable to see top destinations, unable to select see more deals button, unable to search by destination. I could go on and provide more details but since the developer couldn't be @rsed neither can I.
Telemarketing vehicle disguised as a booking app. Lists a cornucopia of ridiculously cheap holidays, but they cannot be booked from the app; one has to ring a phone number and speak to a sales rep. These people don't seem to have moved on from the days when they were just a load of pages on ITV's teletext service. I expect that it's the same old trick of once you ring up that incredibly cheap option has already gone and the telesales try to flog you something else.
I don't usually review bad apps but this one made me. In this day and age, they can advertise a deal which doesn't show full details and you are forced to call for full details. I did & spoke to somebody for about an hour, only to be told the prices advertised are not at all possible. This is after I called instantly after the new deal was posted, can't say it sold out. Do not waste time, better install another app that shows full details & true availability. It's literally a deceptive ad.
Probably the cheapest online holiday site. The same site that used to be pages of writing on tv that sent you to sleep with the music!! After trawling thru loads of holiday sites they really stood out as the cheapest prices for the same holidays offered at as much as twice the price elsewhere. Shocking! No wonder those "big names" are going bankrupt!! I keep going back to them n no regrets so far....
could not make payments through app or website, was advised it was down. 4+ months of retrying and still didn't work. the two banks we tried confirmed that they had authorised the 4 transfers of £0.00, and no problem our end. TT told us that our banks had refused for "wrong address on card" btw, don't book transfers RipOff ! check local transfers, we booked them with TT and could have had private taxi to hotel (return) for same price, taking 10 minutes and not up to 2 hours. more time in the sun!
The App is easy enough to use but fairly pointless when it comes to booking a holiday. They give you a price on the App and then hike it by up to 30% when you call to book. Useful, but only if you ignore the price quoted.
Sharing links from the app does not work, it simply opens the app at the wrong page. Also you can't shortlist, compare or save hotels. You can't search for a particular hotel. Erh!
I have been using this company since they were teletext on the tv. I gave been halfway across the world with them. But now....my flight is cancelled, I should be flying in 2 weeks been on the phone day and night emailed and still not sorted out my amendment. There is no excuse for this. They are fast enough to find you a hotel and flight when I booked but this is too much stress. I am so disappointed I will never ever use this company again. Live chat doesent even work.
This was a good app while it lasted. Prior to C-19, teletext had some great deals, but I cannot see anything for summer or winter 2022. Disappointing
Iv booked my holidays with teletext for years, and it has always been easy to use app cheap and very reliable. I recommend to all my family and friends as iv not found any other better or cheaper.. fantastic customer service team.
It's a fab app. easy to use and clear. only disappointment is when you call for actual price - its usually much more 😕 shame it can't be more accurate but I get they are enticing you in.. staff are great. I've had several very enjoyable holidays from this company and its suppliers.
Can't book through the app, have to call, what is this the 90s? I suppose that is the Teletext heyday. Also restarted my search when I went away and back to the app. Prices good, but found the deal I was after through a rival that had website booking (pretty much same price).
THIS APP IS TO GET YOU ON THE PHONE, THEN HIKE THE PRICE! Prices are much higher than shown, when you phone, transfers and flight prices are exadurated, so a 7 day self catering holiday to spain will show from £179 including flights , but anyone can say ' from '. Look elsewhere on the Internet, at least there you get a more accurate price.
Useless!!! It just keeps buffering and does seem to be working. Please fix issues are the app can not be use as it is now!
Doesn't work at all. You can't fill in the search fields. I got the app because the website doesn't work either. Very disappointed.
Not working, when I try and put in where to go or even the airport nothing happens same on the website. Or it says its loading ant be still loading after 2 hours.
Teletext holidays are not to be recommended. I have tried to call them after returning home from one of their recommend hotels and because it's a complaint they refused to talk to me, I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and she just hung up on me. Teletext you're a disgrace and I will never book a holiday with you again.
Booked a holiday last year for March 2021, but because of covid the holiday was cancelled at the end of January 2021. Teletext however proceeded to take the remaining balance for the holiday out my bank in the middle of February 2021 and told me i would need to wait until up to 4 weeks after my departure date to receive my refund which would be between the end of march and end of april. It is now May 12th and i still have no refund, just an email offering me a credit note which i declined.
as a group of friends we go abroad every new year and we been using teletextholidays in the past and had just slightly over priced deals, but this time we called from 4 different phones 3 different days and they want 1.500 more than they been advertising weeks in the row but stating that the price has been updated 8:30 let's say than you cal them 3min later it's a 1500 more 🤣 and the day after they still advertise same holidays for the same prices as the day before. Rippoff 🐓
This app needs work, for example you can only pick one airport regjon, you cannot select more than one type of accommodation. Developers need to try the TUi or First choice app, as research
Good whilst it lasted. Tried to search for a summer holiday but nothing, which found odd to say the least. Did a Google and realised they have gone bust, such a shame.
These prices are NEVER correct can be as much as £100 on top of price shown per person. Teletext have really gone downhill and this is false advertising. Go to Travel Republic you don't feel ripped off there as you can see proper prices
worst customer service i have ever experienced. do not use this company. take money before booking only to let you know the deal isnt available and money none refundable. had to book something i didn't necessarily want for more than originally planned for. be warned!
Tried downloading twice, it doesn't go any further than the homepage when you try to search.
payments keep failing. I've been trying to pay using the app for the last 5 days and it keeps telling me theres an error. I have tried on 3 different phones and it's still not working
no issues but it would be great to have a function where you can pay via the app before your payment date and not only by calling customer services.
Teletext holidays app is easy to use and offers a number of options to refine the search. My only issue is that there is no favourites button for resorts you like the most. Also when typing in the hotel name it doesn't use the list to help fill in the name. So more information on flight times would be good. Other than that I like what it offers.
