How it works:
Consultations
● Send in a consultation to your veterinarian with detailed text, pictures, and/or videos.
● Your case is assigned to a vet within your pet’s assigned clinic for review.
● Optionally chat with your vet to schedule a video chat appointment or provide more details on the case.
● Receive a treatment plan to get your pet healthy again, directly from your veterinarian.
Follow Ups
● Schedule follow up appointments for your veterinarian to remotely check up on your pet after treatment.
● Video chat with your vet and discuss your pet’s healing progress.
How to get TeleVet:
TeleVet is available to pet owners whose veterinarians are signed up to provide healthcare services through our platform. We only connect pet owners to their existing veterinarians, so if your vet is not on our platform you will not be able to participate in TeleVet’s offered services unless you register as a client at one of our existing TeleVet veterinarians.
To check to see if your veterinarian participates in TeleVet’s service, go to www.getTeleVet.com/vets.

Very confusing to use. I was told by app that camera and microphone needed permissions opened, so I opened for both in my Settings. Went back to app, microphone looked good, camera didn't have permissions opened. Force quit app and went back in. Camera still didn't show permissions opened. Gave up after that and the vet cancelled the Consultation. Got home and saw I had been charged $53 (the price of an office visit) in addition to the full charge so now have to work with my vet to clear that up. As soon as that happens I'm uninstalling the app. In my situation, the vet's office is open - I bring my cats to the parking lot, the vet collects them, and then I wait in the car while they're examined. I would have liked to have video but today a simple phone call was sufficient.
My main vet isn't showing up, so had to pick second choice (actually not even a choice at all but I had to pick one) that I'm not happy with. I don't know what your mileage range is, but you need to increase it because my normal vet is only about 11 miles from me, the other place is maybe 3 or 4 miles, but I don't see myself using this app if I can't use my vet, don't need it because I can pick up my phone and call them.
Unless your current vet is listed on this app and they've already seen the pet in question, this app is utterly useless. We waited for a day after paying for a consultation only to be told by law we needed to bring our pet to their facility 30 miles away. This is not listed anywhere when paying for the consultation and is very deceitful. I would not do business with this company ever again.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS APP. Called my vet to see if my concern warrants a visit. They referred me to televet for a video appointment but then called me back to tell me they couldnt use televet to give me medical advice and I need to just come in anyway. I dont have $80 to throw at every phone call. They didnt even video me! I dont see how you can charge people to use your app if they cant even USE YOUR APP. If the concern cant be resolved using your platform, you should't charge. WASTE!
this is an updated review. This does not replace a trip to the vet, but it can save you some time and money. they work as a portal with your vet (if supported) and can send them photos and description to get your prescriptions, etc. however, they cannot diagnose your pet or issue prescriptions(veteranary laws). However, they can assist with minor issues or tell you if it's a bigger concern and you should get to the emergency vet, which is great if its after hours. customer service was excellent.
Great option, but it would be great if the program allowed for use of headphones. If your dog gets stressed when hearing voices by speakerphone, like mine, it can be a challenge
Hard to use, no notification function. Application closes and you have to reopen to check for response from vet. waste of time. Vet just tells you to bring your pet in and you just pay an additional charge. Not worth it
This app is amazing! It saved me so many visits to my vet. The veterinarians are able to help me and my dog immediately. (Update: With the COVID-19 situation this app is a must)
Found my vet in the app. It really simplified the scheduling process. Very easy to use & I love how it keeps record of all of my vet visits.
Horrible, left messages on voice mail and used the app horrible people who dont care about animals only money! They never called back but thank god my buddy is doing better now! Do Not Use Second Chance on Worcester Massachusetts main street, they will not return your call
Liked it. It was easy and fast. But they set my case at resolved when they gave me medication for my dogs kennel cough. Medicine is all gone and she still has cough.. If i want to talk to them again ill have to pay $30 again to talk to them about the same problem..
Great concept but doesn't have my vet or any veterinarian near me because I would of switched vets to be able to use a service like this you guys should do telehealth for animals and employ or contract a group of vets

Well I came from an app that was telling me that I can call a vet and talk to a Vet during this Covid 19 time at no or little charge . I already have a vet . But I needed advice because I have no more money.
Their link to search for your vet is dead, forcing you to download the app and sign up first. Then when you cant find a local vet on this app you sol. Can go no further. Stupid waste of time! By the way, dont email me.
Useless. My vet clinic never responded to my consultation request, but my credit card was still charged over $150. I lost valuable time in getting care for my pet, not to mention having to pursue a refund.
They take your money and then don't follow through with the ACTUAL vet appointment, got my money refunded, but then I had to wait to try and find another vet....
Not very helpful. Cat died after cople consultation with different vets.
Easy and incredibly convenient.
This was an awesome phone visit with a veterinarian who was caring about my dog and her skin problem. Within minutes of my setting up an account and profile for my pet and describing her problem, I received a message from the Vet, sent her my number, and she called. Thanks so much!

This company held the $79 fee from my account. It would have been for 2 weeks had I kept my appointment thru this app. I'm reporting them to the attorney general and the bbb. Totally unethical, if not illegal.
Useless.... if your dr is not here it wont let you search for doctors nearby that could help.

I like the purpose of this app but it's buggy. The chat never loads and I keep having to reinstall the app every time I want to see the messages from my vet. Very annoying. This makes it pretty much unreliable. It would be easier just to call my vet. Spend more time on this! And maybe you'll have a better app
