Does not work at all. Standard "unable to retrieve your information" message. Also a security risk - it wants access to just about everything on your phone, none of which is actually necessary to enable the user to manage their account. Which it does not do either, because it is broken. Uninstalled, and shopping around for another service provider.

Useless app. The amount of times I have tried to transfer airtime or send to someone else and it just gives me a random error without explanation.. Takes forever to load any page - why is beyond me - it's not like there's all that much personal info and data to upload, nor are there any major graphics. As of this morning I can't even log in. Poorly hashed together just for the sake of keeping up with the times, but, in usual keeping with its reputation, total failure as a service.

Horrible. The first time I downloaded this app it worked perfectly and all was good. But recently few months ago after it was updated it cannot log back in . The progress bar just keeps on running. Then eventually gives you an error message that reads: "we are currently encountering a problem retrieving your account info. Please try again in a few minutes". For more than a month??

To top up was the most frustrating thing to try and do during lockdown. It did not look as if I would be able to buy with so many errors flashing and freezing. Thankful I could top up since I nearly lost work because of it. Please Telkom fix your app. We need it to work smoothly during emergencies and we need it to be more user friendly. I thought I was going to say I can't buy in SA online to a client! Very confusing when it says you have more than one account and I am not even aware of it.

The app tells you you have data left while in fact you have none and have been put on out-of-bundle rates. It turns out Telkom confuses things by giving you 3 different kinds of data which the app doesn't differentiate between. Rendered useless for the purpose of watching your data usage. Also, the drop-down options on the Chat page don't work so you can't start a chat with an agent.

Absolutely horrific. I couldn't even login to my account! I tried several times and just started doing everything I needed to online 😡 As someone in the IT field, this is a great example of a terrible app, that should never have been launched. Unless the issues are sorted on the development end, users will never be able to utilise the app properly 🤷🏻‍♀️. I'm genuinely disappointed by what I've seen😔

A lot of so called services, but all are very limited. When chat to an agent, it is truly like chatting to a robot. No matter how you change or try to change the question, you are always in the end directed either to a PDF file or urged to contact the customer service. Not a good experience I had at all.. Out of the 11 times I have tried to have a problem solved through this app, I have so far not been successful yet.

The app crashes when: - You start the app in landscape mode - Sometimes randomly when you open the app - when you refresh the data usage screen - go out of the data usage screen and back in - When you look at it funny - when a car drives by with loud music - when your phone has a time with an odd number - when theres a solar flare on alpha-centuri... Usefull. But oh so buggy

Always, and I mean always, getting the "problem encountered retrieving your information". If not that, then "username or password is incorrect". Changed my password, got OTP, and still get the same error. Now I have to queue in a long line to do what this app is supposed to do. Highly unprofessional. Hire me, I'll improve your app. Heck, even my daughter codes better than this!

TELKOM CHECK YOUR APP...DO you notice that this same error is experienced by all in the past while... This app insists that I sign in all of a sudden, previously it just went to wi-fi or mobile usage. For the past week I have not been able to get to usage.. Yet I work 4g all the time. I need my balances please.. Without having to log in and then getting no feedback. This worked sooo well up until a week ago!! Took my phone in to store, they are unable to assist and say all look ok.

App usually crashes on startup. When it does launch, it has trouble retrieving data. Showing the total amount of data available is useless when some of it can only be used at certain times. "Detailed bill" has practically no useful information. Telkom should be able to do so much better.

It could have been a useful app if Telkom invested in making sure it works. it only worked perfectly for me on two occasions then it stopped, its disappointing not to get efficient and effective customer service support especially during the lockdown period which would have obviously enabled a brilliant competitive edge 🤷‍♀️ (considering that they offer better rates than "others"). What a shem 👎

This app is absolutely PATHETIC! Almost everyone of them have been. There is LITERALLY always error when trying to have your invoice emailed I also have no idea why there's a "remember me" box when you always have to input your data. And then sit and watch the endless connection errors. Honestly

This app is unreliable. It just loads for days and 80% of the time you have to use USSD or go to the website to transact. Its been like this for the past several years. Vodacom and MTN have excellent apps. This one was just done for the sake of saying "we too have an app", otherwise its useless for 8 out of every 10 weeks I would say. Its not even my internet because my download speed is over 30mbps, my phone S20, my wife has S21. Im sure a connected 1st year student runs this app.

This app is useless. After registration I made countless attempts to add my account to the app, but it wont accept my phone number as a valid phone number, which is ironic seeing as they send SMS and OTP to that exact number. All there is, is a dashboard and messages saying no device has been added, or no account has been added. Great job with the telecommunications, Telkom.

Amount of errors when trying to do anything in the app has always been unbelievable. App has never been easy to use as you encounter and error with every second click, and now it has been completely down for more than a week, and telkom has said nothing. Definitely moving away from telkom the moment my contract expires.

Completely useless! First it's the thefact that you need to go to the store for every little thing you need help with - not convenient. And when you actually get to the store, their system is offline. They fail to assist with minor issues, it's ridiculous! Useless! Useless! Useless!! Complete waste of time. They deserve a ZERO rating!! Do yourself a big favor and spare yourself unnecessary stress!

Since my first review in January 2021 when I had heen unable to access tye app, it has not improved. I have now cancelled all my contracts with Telkom. Will not support them. There is always a problem to retrieve information. And if it opens, the information is of no use. You cannot view your account information.

Telekom App is honestly the worst app to use. You can't log in when you need to, it never can retrieve your information. And what is so disappointing is it is never upgraded or improved. We have the same problem over and over and no solution from telkom. Your call centre is the same quality and service as your app. Improve your service to your clients. This is rediculous.

The app forced an upgrade, and then immediately stopped showing how much midnight data I had available. Also, during peak times of day, when I ťry to check my balance it crashes. If I submit my details to the log in screen it just lags till I want to scream so I exit and try again in two hours. I use vodacom too for my other connection and its app is so much better. Please work on this.

samsung s8... I'm not sure if it's just my phone but I keep having to close the app entirely before I can get to the dashboard, if it was previously opened and there's the occasional freeze issue. I guess besides the awful ergonomics it works fine when it decides to work (could be simplified).

Ive had a terrible experience with this app. it works when it wants to, the data usage balances are grossly incorrect and the lay out is confusing. whats going on telkom it seems that the more you updated it the worse it got. A simple thing like displaying usage and paying on the can't be that difficult.

I try to run the app and it says we are currently encountering a problem retrieving your info .. This is laughable that they can't supply the info when needed. When I do get in sometimes it just shows my phone data usage but not my LTE usage. Sometimes the LTE usage shows more than what I am contracted to get (wrong). Come on Telkom test your app thoroughly before you release it. Make your staff use it so they can log the bugs and then they will get resolved.

this app should allow a person to view balances by simply inserting your sim number. if i want to view my data balance on my router, i must remove the sim from my router and insert it into my fone, so that i can check my data balance... how irritating is that !! why is the app so complicated, when one only needs to view data balances the night / day time data should be consolidated to make it more understandable for the client this app is supa unfriendly and needs to be improved urgently. so that data and airtime balances can be checked by a simple click especially if you are engaged in a zoom meeting

This app never works, you can never retrieve any information. Especially if you need to check something as simple as your data balance. Theres to much going on, can you just create another app just to check your data balance, instead of this useless app with so many different options, that never work.
