Telnet

In ideal working case, the application works beautifully.. When it comes to erroneous connection, it simply doesn't handle gracefully.. For instance, on an incorrect ip, the application hangs, but actually if we wait, the application times out and throws null pointer exception java.lang.NullPointerException which is not what I expect..

Stop complaining guys xD The only reason he keeps it here probably is for us G1 users to root our phones with it :D

Would not recognize an ubuntu Linux telnetd server. Came up garbled. Other programs worked better.

To all idiots this is used to root your phone. Dont rate bad if you don't know what it does. Jeez.

It works. Which is great, but the UI look really big on L. Needs fixing and updating here and there, could see that this version goes way back since 1.6

Very good, simple telnet application. Would get 5 stars if it supported macros for quick commands, and server address storage

I assumed it would work more like a VT100 terminal. It also didn't seem to send CRLR.

Cant use for external telnet client as sends wrong line terminator so cant get past login prompts on my systems.

Got me root. You dont need this to get root you can telnet from a pc. I would like to see a more fully featured telnet client and/or a mud client

Gives full output. Need a printable output option to make it easier to read. Could use a shortcut menu with arrow keys and common shortcuts. Works but im looking elsewhere.

Works on my G1. Also..for another comment. ITS supposed to gvie you garbage characters. Thats when you know its connected.

Connecting to centos server via telnet yields garbage text and unusable interface. The "other" telnet client, while not as convenient to use, works loads better.

Returning to main connection window if connection got disconnect, so useless in this conditions. Wait until fix

I perfectly know Telnet. This is total rubbish.

I was panning to use it to telnet Cisco router setup at home and gives prompt twice, if you run show run, it cuts the resualt at more...

It works great, but when used in horizontal mode on Hero, it crashes. If this could be fixed, this'd be a 5-star app.

To those of you who got root using this, whenever i type in the last of the 4 commands i need for root, it says tht it cnat create cause its read only

Connects to smtp via 25 but does not send successfully. AndroMud handles the same fine.

I to had problem opening it.., but found out if you open terminal and type su, hit enter than type telnetd enter it opens right up

Bug when changing the phone orientation to landscape while connected: "bad number", connection terminates.

If you can change something like ansi color and make it like gmud or zmud application, i will give you 5. :)

Does not work. Tried WiFi and 3G on LG E975. After pushing Connect button - black screen.

If you have no idea what you are doing, stop rating it 1-star. Anyone who rates 1-star doesn't know what they are doing.

Great tool, not needed though after i rooted my phone. Would keep if terminal emulator wasnt included in the rom.

This is not an actual telnet client as it does not handle telnet negotiation options. That being said, it does at least work as tcp client.

Works great bug design could be improved with a few minutes work. App hasn't been updated since 2008.

4 for capabilities but why is it so hard to connect. Is it the phone or the server. Otherwise 5 stars.

Great program, works good. Would like to see a way to store addresses instead of having to input them every time.

I'm sorry for the low sokor but every time i try opening telnet it wont open it keeps saying connection refused. What should i do.
