Genuinely one of the most frustrating apps to use. Since Telstra removed the only reliable method of recharging via SMS, this app is the replacement, much to everyone's dismay. Take for instance trying to recharge with this app, if I have card set up for auto payments, I now can't change that card to another, even with my default card changed it, refuses to let me remove an expired card that it keeps trying to charge. The menus are unreliable, the service is poor, the options are annoying.

Worst app ever if I could rate a zero even that would be generous. If I could get reception on my phone with any other server I would change from telstra in a heartbeat but unfortunately can't so stuck with them. I contacted customer service due to being charged TWICE for a recharge that was STILL unsuccessful due to "technical difficulties " as I have been told. This is very frustrating, and I soooo can't wait for the generic basic reply I get to this rating for me to contact them. * Sarcasm *

The app is better these days however it still has issues. Still get the odd issue when trying to chat and the last time I looked the data usage didn't with but the current issue is that it doesn't screen rotate. The bottom inch of my phone screen is numb so I can't click Continue on new feature screen (yes, a new phone is coming). I want to pay my bill but I can't log in! Could the screen have a X in the top corner too and rotate?

Woeful app. Most pages never load or take multiple attempts. I'm trying to pay my bill and cant actually load the page, and it's not an internet issue. Horrible user experience. Edit: still no improvement in the app. Unable to pay bills on it, Just constantly showing a something us wrong message on trying to pay. Telstra then limiting services because of a fault on their end. Crooked. Edit number 2: this problem is still not resolved. Dreadful stuff here, and they just don't care.

Just DONT BOTHER with this app. The only way to get anything done with telstra is to do it in store as nothing works on the IT, app, online or on the phone. You just get into endless loops and it can only handle the most basic issues IF you can get it to work. Now if i could just bill them for the hours Ive wasted trying to sort issues!!

Terrible app. Bill due dates and amounts show incorrect very frequently, it randomly logs itself out, Payment updates sometimes don't register at all, or don't come through until 4 weeks later. Usage amounts are frequently incorrect also. Tech help requests and "Instant chat" function are slow and hard to use - it's quicker to call to report a fault. Would not rate it, or use it if I had another option.

Rubbish App - Needs An Overhaul. Registered a password, and triple checked it before saving, but the app won't recognize it, so re-registered several times. When it finally worked, I had one the "One-time" code sent to my phone, only problem is the app won't accept any code, even after having several codes sent to my phone, which still weren't accepted, and then got logged out of the account. Ironic, that it's called a "One-Time" code, considering you need several codes which don't work, anyway

Sighhh idk why but the app is just so clunky and don't get me started on the internet service, one moment it will be fine and then the next thing you know you're internet speed is as slow as when you're on reduced speeds but X2... I have a dual Sim (vodafone) and I get 4 bars at home, whereas the telstra Sim literally just BARLEY makes 2 bars, half the time it's 1 bar and its so frustrating. The teslstra team is also hard to get in contact with. I waited 1 whole hour on the phone... no answer.

Everytime I open it it shows the loading screen for about 2 seconds , then proceeds to close. I've tried reinstalling it but I'm still having the same issue.Not only that but when the app was working it was extremely slow, in fact calling "working" is a stretch. Giving this app one star is being generous.

Barely works, constant errors. Can't even pay my bills half the time and when it actually does, I can't report that I've paid because I get..you guessed it. More errors. Then when you ring them, they tell you how good the app is, and that I can use it 24/7. First of all, I wouldn't need to ring you if the app your yammering on about worked, second of all its not 24/7 because its failure to load anything 23/7.

My review got removed so I'll keep it simple. The app breaks often and in many different ways. More than I could explain in 500 characters. Its challenging to navigate if you want to do more than just pay a bill and that's if you can get that to work even after reinstalling and making sure you have the latest version. I now use an alternative method to pay my bill. Less hassle and frustration that way.

Its always nice to have an app that reliably shows me a loading screen which leads to an error loading message when I try to check my bill. And on the off chance that it actually loads the bill and I attempt to pay the bill I get to enjoy another loading session or loading error message. Fun times

After reading all these reviews. I'm going to hold back from upgrading now. I downloaded the app and it is absolutely useless. I have no internet at all and it says there is nothing wrong with my connection. I am so sick of the slow speeds and upload in my area That I think I am going to change to Vodafone my son gets better speeds with them and more 150gighs for the same price and better speeds for streaming and gaming. I am sick of complaining to telstra and resetting my phone everytime

Rubbish last 6 months i was ubable to entre into the app,now when i want to upgrade my servixe in the app it says something went wrong please refresh later and when I try to do this on google it just takes me to the telstra app. Full of bugs and glitches, whats the point in having an I.T team IF YOU WONT FIX YOUR BUGS

Happy enough with the connection, but when it comes to paying the bill through the app after getting a new phone just can't be done. Edit; Han fixed it, worked through the glitches and now the app works as it used to. The app always tells me I am not connected to the internet and will not open 24x7 this app is totally useless. Since changing to the new apparently Smart Modem Gen3, I can not use my Samsung Tab A it will work as before ... Agree with all other reviews this app is useless and trying to get the issue fixed is impossible !!

Messaging part of app to be able to talk to Telstra is incredibly unreliable, I have tried to connect via hotspot, wifi, and just general data and the messages continues to say "reconnecting" for hours. I have updated the up and my phone and still no improvement

Anything complex opens a browser within the app which is sloppily made and slow. Often pages don't load at all. No problem in Chrome however! Meanwhile if I call them, they hassle me to call through the app, and say I'll have to wait longer if I don't. It isn't my phone, I have a new Samsung; and that's not an excuse anyway if you force me to use your app! Telstra are bad at software and should get their vaunted digital transformation Telstra Purple team to take a look at their own junk 🙄.

Fix your card payment system, I can't fix it for you. And I can't pay you if you don't take it and I'll charge you for wasting my time. I will lose my insurance and extended warranty covers of my Amex platinum card if I pay by any other means so you have to fix this and keep my service running and missed payment reporting on my credit history until you do! Support chat resets all the time, why does it have to be like this and be forced to start from 0!? Why can't you just give me a ticket.

Bought a Samsung Active 2 watch 18 months ago, terms and conditions stated I could connect to the network using Telstra One Number and I could cancel at any time and reconnect if I want. Today I went to connect it to the network only to find I am now unable to connect to the network according to their terms and conditions because now if you cancel your subscription they cancel it for good. I now have a $800 watch sitting there that is of no use which I purchased through Telstra. What a con job.

Unbelievably frustrating. Called 132200 prompts kept directing me to MyTelstra then cutting me off even when option selected to stay on line for a real person. So tried to use app, links received did not connect, Telstra website kept telling me I had set up app when I never had. Nightmare and time will never get back. Finally helpful person on phone, after many calls and much waiting checked connection & escalated issue to nbn for further checks. Telstra if you want us to use app, fix it!

The My Telstra App may now contain out of date Telstra info that misleads users. This problem could easily be fixed by eliminating OBFUSCATING, confusing etc duplication of similar Telstra apps. Just have one good, reliable one that gives clear easy instructions, is always up to date,accurate, relevant, useful,with no "fluff". So any user can easily find what they need to know. A no brainer, really! Multiple useless apps doing the same thing are NOT better than one good,reliable etc one!

This app is buggy, sometimes it works smoothly... Tried to pay my bill, I select 1 of 2 cards available and at the payment screen it displays the wrong card, repeatedly. So I gave up, I'll try again later. This sort of weirdness has been happening for years.

Works well for me. Reports all services correctly. Shows a neat summary of days-left & bytes-todate. Recent call details are clear and concise. Foxtel bundle detail is correct. I was expecting the link to Telstra Air in Playstore, to take me to a T-Air app, but it did just take me back to the Telstra App - I need to study that more closely (Android 9, old Motorola E6+), Pretty slick app in my assessment. Update March 2022: Widget still does not work. App works but basically just looks like a clunky version of the webpage. Where's all that user money go to Telstra? Are you saving up in hope you'll be able to front a satellite option soon? For those wanting to use #100# instead, yes it does still work. Go option 4 Management to cop some sales rubbish from telstra. Go 00 Home. Now all the options will work correctly. Note that Balance is now option 3 not 2.

Extremely easy to use and good storage capacity for pictures and files. My phone is more like a hand- held computer that makes calls and I do everything on it from shopping to banking, surfing the net and organising my life through the calendar. I'm sticking with Samsung.I love the size, the apps and all the features are accessible and easy to use. I'm almost 70yo and would be lost without it.
