It's nice to unlock the door from your phone, but shouldn't that be a minimum viable product from a "virtual doorman" system? The system is okay, but I have several objections to it: - No privacy guarantees, I have no idea if the company will sell this data to external 3rd parties - You must wait 10 seconds to unlock your door with the unlock code... It's not really usable without letting it look at your face. - The ringer is an "alarm" instead of a "call". Therefore, even when my phone is set on vibrate, it will loudly buzz me at work. The other option is to turn the alarm ringer off, but then I'm at risk of forgetting to turn it back up every night.
Technology is supposed to make you're life easier. I live an older building and this has done nothing but complicate my life. We used to have an old fashioned intercom/buzzer system and it was so much better. Yeah it's supposed to text you're phone but the text arrives 10 minutes after the delivery person has left. Not to mention that the damn thing never seems to stay connected to the net. Every time I pas by it the lights are all flashing and if you have a password/code you are not able to enter it because it has frozen up. It's too bad that they gutted the old intercom system as my life has become more complicated when my buildings management decided to install this POS! The UPS guy who was provided a code that never works now takes one look at the address and immediately drops everyone's packages at a store that's affiliated with them for us to pick up. They don't even try to deliver at my address anymore. Now I have been forced to when expecting a delivery write out a post-it and stick it to the locked front door with a guest account name and access code to "hopefully" if the damn thing is working have my packages delivered. That kind of defeats the whole purpose doesn't it?
The app would be great if the user had the ability to simply unlock the door at will. Due to this fault it's impossible for authorities or EMS to be successful in their work if ever needed. Moreover, those without smart phones must must travel down to lobby for guests to enter. Moreover, it doesn't have all those features displayed in the picture; just add guest, edit/remove guest and update account.
This app worked for awhile, then stopped. I emailed support and they released an update that made it work fine again. Now it hasn't worked in two weeks- seems fine on an iphone, but the Android app doesn't ring at all. Four messages to support have gone unanswered so I'm finally leaving a review.
The mobile app does not ring or vibrate when a guest or delivery person calls. It just pops up on screen, so you have to be looking at your phone 24/7, or you miss your deliveries. Useless app, and the system makes the building worse to live in. Update: The app continues to not notify of visitors if your phone is on vibrate, and the developer continues to reference users personal activity on this page. It's a bad app and a bad company.
This app and buggy outdoor touchscreen pair don't replace the functionality of the previous intercom, provide unhelpful error messages like "error message," and have a terrible representative posting private data about building access in this forum. If your building has this system, your landlord scraped the bottom of the barrel and sold you out. Edit: Even thought they said it works, it fails as often as it works. The NYC Rule not followed is providing a consistently working intercom.
My building installed this a few months ago and it's such a great amenity. I let my dog walker in with a code without being bothered or needing to hide a key, and I'm able to get amazon deliveries now without having to be home. It's very pretty and easy to use.
This dude scammed Airbnb into giving him a settlement-and used it to create this amateur device. He managed to make a simple idea complicated. The app simply doesn't work. I have to go down to the first floor to let people in, and its been this way since it was installed months ago. I can't reiterate it enough. The app. Doesn't. Work. I miss my old buzzer! Check the reviews, the only positive ones are from Ari Teman and his friends. If you're a landlord considering this product, don't.
This is a useless app... I can't buzz into my own building ...visitors can't either...i have to walk down from the 3rd floor to open the door for the people that come to visit me. It's just a blue box in front of my building entrance that doesn't work... My packages can't be delivered.. Hell no one in my building can't recieve packages... Or buzz into the building for that matter... If it doesnt work then begone with it...
Have your shoes handy to go downstairs and receive your delivery. As "nice" of an option this is, it serves more headache when it is disconnected. Basically a decorated brick box by the front door when inoperable. 05-01-21 Error code: null Not allowing guest/visitor setup. Again, decent tech when operating correctly. And to customer service, Jairo is a cool name that isn't mine.
This makes our building so much nicer. It helped management stop the rampant Airbnb and the UPS guy can finally get in all the time without needing the super or us to be home. It is faster to enter the building than using a key and easy to send a delivery code or buzz in a guest.
I love this system. It makes it so much easier to get packages in, the cleaning lady gets in without my needing to wait around, and I can finally see clearly who's at the door.
Trying follow the instructions from the onboarding email to set up our household, yet the Device errors out with a Wrong ID/PIN while the app functions without an issue to log in and add a guest.
the app doesn't notify me when visitors arrive and they don't update the app at all.
the delay on calling up with this system is unacceptably bad. ive had to go let delivery people in.
Terrible. Does not notify me at all. Visitors or Guest have to call me to open the door.
got code and password but no instructions. sent email but no reply. I hope this gets better.
I still haven't gotten my login information its been 6 months already
This is the perfect solution for real world issues
This app sucks. God, why did they installed this system.
I'm all about smart homes and remote access. Great app for a great service!
Excellent app. I can even use it in my native yiddish!
Great app! Total game changer.
No more losing or forgetting keys. Remotely unlock the door for guests from anywhere. Guest codes for when you can't be buzzed. Getting laundry and packages delivered when you're not home... So much more.
In theory, this is a great app. I just wished it actually worked like it was supposed to! Ever since the recent update, the app wont ring my phone or make any sounds for that matter. So unless I'm near my phone or on the lookout for a visitor/delivery, I dont know when someone is buzzing me. UPDATE 11/10/2020: after Teman released a fix for their app in mid-December 2019, the app started to work properly, which was a great relief. So I've updated my stars from 1 to 4 stars.
